I travel constantly but the Soya Apartments are absolutely up there with the best. The staff were incredibly helpful and polite. From check in to check out, I couldn’t fault them. The bed was very comfortable and it was exactly as it is shown in the pictures. Fantastic value also. If I could give it more than 10 I would! Thanks I will be back Helen

Mariana and staff at SoYa are standouts - always so helpful, welcoming and accommodating! I made an error recently with a booking and Mariana was able to assist me - professionally and efficiently! The rooms are always so clean and the bed comfortable. Keep up the great work!

This was my first stay in South Yarra during a visit to Melbourne. The location was a winner. Everything within walking distance, restaurants, food shopping, gyms, bottle shops and retail outlets. The accommodation is a funky vibe of 50's meets new urban cool, with the apartments spacious, bright, with wall murals and very clean. The amenities were well stocked and of superior quality. The best part of my stay had to be the staff who were very professional, considerate and who fit the chic vibe of the hotel. They made my stay memorable. I will stay at the SoYa Davis Avenue Apartments on my subsequent visits to Melbourne. I highly recommend this property to anyone who likes a quiet, well maintained apartment just of the bustling strip of Toorak Rd in South Yarra. Michael I stayed Feb 15th-18th 2025

A very roomy, clean, and comfortable stay with a decent size fridge (handy for large water bottles & icecreams). We stayed 3 nights in the top (third) floor, so the only negative was walking up a few stairs after a big day/night. The service was fantastic - took our luggage up stairs for us on arrival and check out! The hosts were always super accomodating in supplying additional towels and items when we ran out (thanks Ash!). The undercover parking with security cameras also provided us with piece of mind. We were close to lots of shops, a 7/11 store and cafes. The street was also off the main road so it was easy for cars to pick up/drop off when booking via ride apps. The sofa, which was also a fold out bed, wasn't comfortable to sit on but there was lots of seats (table & chairs) + 2 arm chairs to use when watching TV. While the bath/shower was a bonus it wasn't easy to get in and out - easy to slip and fall if not careful. Overall a very pleasant stay.

I always stay here when I travel for work. The place does the job: after hours check-in is easy, it’s clean, and close to public transportation. I’m writing this to specifically thank one of the employees, Mami, who went the above and beyond for me today to help me sort my laundry after check-out and was so incredibly kind and warm.

Im writing you this to tell you my personal perception of our stay in your apartment #11 last weekend. I was pretty disappointed at what worked out to he $200 per night approx. My first impressions were how tiny and no tv access to bedroom. Upon entrance to the bathroom, i nearly flipped omg I have to clean that bath. Which i did, looked like chemicals had be sprayed and left on it. After cleaned i realised it was quite old and both toilet bath actually look unsanitary because of thier age!! The light switch, door and door handle grotty from hands. No hooks on bathroom door to hang your clothes, the only towel rail being beside toilet for which you had to get out of shower soaking wet to grab. On entrance to bathroom, metal carpet divider is raised and i kept skinning top of my toes catching them on it. Into the bedroom, super comfy bed! Curtains and blinds dont keep room dark at all. No hooks for clothes or robes, no tv access, no radio/clock/alarm, no usb points and powerboards tacked to floor so my charger with cords wouldnt fit the right way up. Lounge room couch/pull out bed super uncomfy and filthy dirty stained. The matt tacked to floorboards has raised staples which go into toes. The kitchen cupboards need a wipe and only enough coffee and sugar for our first night. The machine was replaced after 2 nights as I realized it was broken. The balcony was useless with only room for 1 chair and again no insect screen and blinds not keeping unit dark. There was no little touches like pen or paper, no info on local services or spots. The 3 flights of stairs to the unit are a huge safety issue in my opinion. Theres no grip or safety paint to highlight them. I found them a little slippery and lost count of how many time I nearly lost footing taking that first step thats not actually there. So over the weekend I had plenty of time to walk around comparing other accommodations in the immediate area and compared the cost. I really feel like ive been overcharged for this accommodation *for lack of better words. I didnt ask about a room change or refund for 3 reasons. 1 I attended counter at desk on 3 occasions rang bell waited waited waited nothing?? 2. it was easter weekend and I wasnt sure if we could go elsewhere 3. we had paid for the premium unit, was pretty certain there couldnt be an upgrade. Ive added pictures of bathroom and scum from under taps. You offer excuses, apparent fixups on spot but no renumeration whats so ever

This is definitely a good place to stay when in Melbourne, perfect location, next to South Yarra Station and many good restaurant. The best choice.
