It's an average hotel. The entry way is beautiful, the rooms are very modest. We had 2 beds, electric kettle, fridge. The shower was ok, seemed updated. ||If you are only expecting to spend a night in Gomel, then it works fine. Right on the same corner is a buffet-restaurant, that a huge bonus. ||Wi-fi was bad... constantly losing signal and you had to get the code to you phone to connect every time. Thank goodness any number works, not just a local one.||It offers gated parking for an additional fee. ||||Overall the hotel served the purpose, a shower and a good night rest.

We stayed in 'the block' behind the hotel and it was rough. The place was falling down, plumbing was makeshift and the rooms were neglected but pretty clean. If you stay in the main hotel at the front as I have done several times then you'll be much happier as the rooms are a better standard but still with silly plumbing visible which is like spaghetti! Staff are great though and very helpful, food is ok.

If you are looking for a bed in central Gomel, this hotel is adequate. It is clean and bathroom facilities are OK and bed comfortable, though our blankets didn't cover our tootsies!||Staff are quite helpful and pleasant and the cost is reasonable.||There is no restaurant in the hotel, not even continental breakfast, but three are two cafes within 100 yards which will feed you well.

The main building is being refurbished but otherwise everything looks like 1980s. Our rooms had no air conditioning and had very basic amenities. I am struggling to think whether this was value for money for $50 per night but were so tired, so it did not matter in the end. The main building should look ok after the refurbishment is completed but it will be much more expensive, though. The only good thing about this hotel is its location. Sozh is conveniently located next to several good restaurants and is just off the main street

It is the most prominent hotel in Gomel, at the corner of Sovietskaya and Krestianskaya. 500 meter to Lenin Square and the park near the river Sozh. Single room 25 EUR. The restaurant is apparently of one the best in the city. Bring your russian dictionary as no-one speaks anything else.

This is a city centre hotel ideal for the traveller who is looking for a place to sleep the rooms are basic but clean the rooms are tided every day, there is no catering facilities within the hotel but a short walk takes you to some nice eateries and you can eat at very reasonable cost and the beer is very good at about £1.00 a pint so who cares if the hotel has no Disco!!!
