So, I got a gift certificate for a 50 minute Swedish massage to this spa and what a wonderful gift that was! I enjoyed every minute of my experience at this spa. The place is lovely. It's located inside the Marriott on The Waterway. They have either valet parking or self parking in the garage but either way the parking is validated. I parked in the garage & it was a quick walk in to the Marriott & the spa was right there, on the 1st floor. The lighting is dim, the music is soothing & the smells are relaxing, as it should be. The front desk staff was so kind & polite. She right away offered me something to drink. They have wine, champagne, mimosas.... I had a delicious mimosa. It was my first time there so I filled out a quick form regarding my health history & my areas of concern for my massage. Then I was shown to the locker/bathroom area. They had plush robes & comfortable sandals to wear, lockers to place all my belongings in, showers to use after my massage, a vanity area to fix my hair & make up afterwards, a dressing/changing area, nice big restroom stalls & a sauna. After I changed in to my robe & sandals I was shown the relaxation area where I waited for my massage therapist, Candace. The relaxation area was like a big, comfy living room but with dim lighting, relaxing music/sounds & soothing scents. They had a self serve complimentary refreshment area too but I chose to keep on sipping my mimosa instead. Did I mention my mimosa was free & delicious? Well, it was. I didn't wait long at all in the relaxation room before Candace came & got me for my massage. She was very courteous & professional. The massage room was also nice. The massage table was warmed & had soft linens. I especially liked that the face pillow had a satin like cover on it so my face didn't get those lines that I tend to get at other massage places that use other covers on the face pillow. Candace asked me what areas I'd like to focus on & what kind of pressure I was comfortable with. I prefer light to medium pressure because it is still relaxing for me but can still work out any soreness I have in my neck & back areas. Candace did not disappoint. She did an excellent job. My massage was definitely relaxing & got rid of my body aches. After my massage, I had full use of the spa amenities such as the relaxation room & sauna. Candace even offered me another mimosa. I could have made a whole day of this place but unfortunately I had something else I had to do that day. Anyway, I know this place is a little pricey but you definitely get what you pay for. You can also sign up for their monthly specials & follow them on Facebook. Keep an eye out for their 25% off any spa services. What a great deal & a great way to try this place!
