Stepping into the Spa Hotel Alpina Hida Takayama immediately instilled a sense of anticipation for a wonderful stay, a welcome contrast to the experiences at my previous accommodations in Nagoya and Sapporo. The reception area offered thoughtful touches, including complimentary coffee and green tea available daily. Judging by the initial impression, the hotel's design seemed exceptionally well-considered. The modern digital display was a notable feature, the first I had encountered in my two weeks of travel throughout Japan. The provision of comfortable seating while awaiting the lift was a thoughtful detail. Inside the room, I appreciated the inclusion of a charging cable, an air purifier and ionizer, magnetic cards providing room information, and even luxurious golden slippers. During my two-night stay, the exceptional quality of the Onsen led me to visit it no less than three times. Also, the view of the sunset from the room is very good on the 7th floor.
