"A three-and-a-half-hour drive north from the airport sashays through mountain roads and past dormant volcanoes and the majestic Mount Agung. The pampering begins the moment you arrive at Spa Village Resort Tembok Bali, when you're given a head-and-shoulder rub and a foot-bathing ritual—right in the open-air lobby. Run by Malaysia-based YTL hotels, the resort feels like a typically indulgent tropical destination rather than a bare-bones wellness retreat." - Juliet Kinsman

We Stayed 5 nights at the Spa Village for relaxing. There was itinerary in our room they scheduled for us. it was good to relax our body and mind following the plan. The food they served us was good. Always fresh and delicious. All staff there are very kind and caring visitors. Bedding was very comfortable and clean so we slept well every night. The location is a little bit far from the airport but they came to pick us up so was no problem. I would like to recommend Spa village Tembok to everyone who wants to truly relax from the daily busy life. Thanks for reading.

We had a villa for our honeymoon. The villa is fantastic, with an infinity plunge pool, gazebo a super large bed... It really is fantastic. It is also very quiet, which is a good alternative to the busiest places. No kid under 16 are allowed btw. The staff was amazing, very friendly, always available. The massages were also really nice. They tend to be on the stronger side if what you may expect so don't hesitate to ask for medium rather than strong. The food was very good even if a bit repetitive when we were there (pretty low season). Always good quality though. The wines were very good - all of them! Great experience!

We stayed at Tembok Spa Village through Luxury Escapes. From the time we arrived to the time we left, we were so impressed by the professionalism by all the staff. When we arrived, we received a welcome foot scrub and neck/shoulder massage. We were provided with daily breakfast, lunch and dinners overlooking the stunning black sand beach and infinity pool. Tembok Spa Village went above and beyond by providing us with our own private driver, recommending different places to visit and explore around Bali, making private bookings for us and organising our daily massages. We were overwhelmed by how accommodating the staff were and highly recommend this resort.

Just spent 7 amazing nights at Spa Village & Resort in Tembok. Most won’t make the 3 hour journey by car to this magical location on the north side of Bali. This is their loss. Spa Village is the most magical location for those wanting a truly secluded, relaxing getaway. It’s the little things that make this place so special. Firstly there is the amazing ambiance of this beachfront hideaway. The pool area is perfect and they would reserve the same daybed for us each day. Then there is the staff. They just can’t do enough for you and know you by name from day one. The food is great and our package included a free daily cocktail. Oh, did I mention the daily included spa treatments? I had 6 massages in 7 days. I left this morning so relaxed I can’t even explain. If you want to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life for a while this is heaven on earth. I was sad to leave.

Spent 7 nights here. We upgraded to a private Villa which was splendid. The suites looked large too. Though the regular rooms all have a great view and balcony. The resort was quiet at first, so you can really retreat or make friends with the other residents/staff if you wish. The activities are diverse. The cycling trip to a waterfall was a highlight. All the activities were fun. The spa treatments are superb and something I would never normally do. The menu was gr8, and after 7 days we weren't tired of it.

The hotel is quite and surrounded by nature which i like very much but i could not really see why this hotel call themself a wellness resort (from YLT magazine saying) Through there is spa, yoga class and etc like what wellness resort supposed to be but the essence isn’t there. Food included in package but the choice was limit, same lunch choice everyday and it was very far from quality and healthy. Fried rice, fried noodle, hamburger, pasta, veggie curry same everyday. The quality isn’t there and quantity too. I got something with chicken and it about 10 gram or 20 gram. I couldn’t believe i stayed in luxury resort. No cappuccino for breakfast that is extra charge. Some staff were trained how to serve but some staff doesn’t seem to fit the place. I felt like i was in university canteen more than a luxury resort. I stayed 5 nights so by last day i really happy to be able to eat something else. The class is bad quality. After trying a few on the first few days i decided not to join anything anymore. Some staff could not speak english but leading a class with requires communication like making a body scrub for example. They gave us a paper of instruction to read and follow by ourself and not be able to answer any question. Spa wasn’t bad but just average quality as you may find in any local shop around the island. Room is old, dark and humid especially the ground floor. I was assigned on the ground floor at first and really need to ask for change. Otherwise very nice and traditional decoration style. If you are looking for a true wellness place this is a joke. But if you just wanna hang out in quiet place it is ok stay. But overall, it came down to the price. For the quality $150 is its value considering the room isn’t great massage is alright and food is poor. Personally i will never come back.

I don't even know how to start describing the experience at the Spa Village Resort Tembok Bali. 10/10 for sure!! The staff are just AMAZING and sooo proactive all the time! They certainly go over and beyond to make your stay the best one possible. Positive things were: the car that picks you up is extremely comfortable, with a lot of leg space, so the 3 hours drive was very chill; they receive you with a foot massage and sandals, we loved it; the meals are so yummy and diverse, dinner has always a different menu and both lunch and dinner have entrees, mains and desserts; the breakfast has many options and everything tastes amazing ❤️; the pool is beautiful and the chairs and lounges very comfortable; the bedroom is impeccable, they leave a balinese set of clothes for you to dress and also robes, so you can enjoy the full experience of being in a Balinese resort; the massages are just incredible, so relaxing and the massage therapists are great!!!; they clean the bedroom twice a day and leave cute messages and decorations on bed, small details that make the difference 💕💕 ah they also give you the option to book extra activities, so my partner and I went for a boat ride and I had a floating breakfast one day, highly recommended! They have yoga and some daily activities as well, such as making your own body scrub. The only thing that I would improve is to add an air conditioner in the gym, as it was very hot to work out in there, but not a big deal either :) The beach in front is not a white sand beach, but it is chill to swim and do some snorkeling. Thank you very much for making our stay so relaxing and enjoyable. We love it!!! Hope you guys all the very best!!

Contrary to what you might read in recent comments, his place is what dreams are made of. The kind of places you see in movies... We feel incredibly lucky and blessed to have found this gem and are already planning vour return. After what has been a challenging time for us health wise, we needed relaxation for our honeymoon and boy did we get it. The a la carte food is divine, fresh and actually so good for you. Plus, you literally get 3 courses with all of your meals. We honestly do not know how people can claim this place does not feed you well! You get amuse bouches, scented pre dinner towels and lovely smiles from the beautiful, wonderful staff. To name a few: Sri, Mini and Ipa (am probably totally misspelling their names) are the kindest souls who made our nights. They looked after my gluten intolerance without being asked.... And even though some of the staff members are not fluent in English, if you try a little, you can communicate just fine. You are in Indonesia. Plus, if you want, there is always Google Translate. The treatments and treatment ladies are equally divine and FAR better than something you might find in a local shop. Plus, only pure oils and natural products are used, which was good for my sensitive skin. And the "quiEt" surroundings... lots of greenery and if you actually go outside the hotel and simply cross the street, you can find cool hiking paths that pass by little villages and mango trees for miles... We are still here until Monday and will be enjoying every second. Thank you to the amazing team here (also the ones I failed to mention yet, such as the yhappiest yoga instructor Ketuk). You guys are truly wonderful. Thanks for all your care.
