Space Hotel @ Kuala Lumpur Chinatown

I absolutely loved my stay here! The capsule is so amazingly cozy 🥹. Don’t think I’ve ever slept this well at a hostel before! You can adjust all the lights and the capsule is pretty spacious. Comfy bedding and towel included ☀️ There is free coffee and tea and some kitchen untensils. The bathroom was also super clean 🥰 It‘s not a very social hostel, though - which you might wanna keep in mind :) If I ever come to KL again I‘ll stay here!

A Perfect Hotel with Excellent Service and Location I stayed at Space Hotel for about a month during my trip to Kuala Lumpur, and it was a fantastic experience. The location, cleanliness, comprehensive facilities (including a washer and dryer), and the staff's attitude all made my stay enjoyable. Convenient Location Space Hotel is close to Chinatown, making it easy to find delicious and affordable local food. It’s also near major tourist spots and transportation hubs like KLCC, the Kuala Lumpur Old Train Station, and KL Sentral. Whether I took a bus or train to other cities, I could reach these places in just 15-30 minutes. Additionally, its proximity to Central Market was a plus—I often bought souvenirs there, and since it’s near a post office, I could easily send postcards to friends. Overall, the hotel’s location made transportation incredibly convenient. Comfortable and Well-Designed Capsules The capsule design is well-suited for an Asian female like me. I stayed in a four-capsule room, which was cozy and had air conditioning. Since I’m not very tall, the stairs helped me climb into the capsule comfortably, and the space inside was surprisingly roomy with a locker for storage. Great Facilities The hotel provides a washer and dryer, so I didn’t have to go out to do laundry—very convenient! There’s also a coin machine to exchange bills for coins, which you then insert to operate the machines. I really appreciated these thoughtful amenities. Exceptional Cleanliness Cleanliness is where Space Hotel truly stands out. Unlike many public restrooms in malls or airports, the hotel’s toilets were always clean, tidy, and dry—something I particularly valued. Based on my observation, they were cleaned three to four times a day, and the facilities were well-maintained. The high standard of cleanliness definitely enhanced my stay. Helpful and Friendly Staff The staff were always friendly and responsive. Whenever I requested assistance or capsule cleaning, they attended to me within 2-3 minutes. The 24-hour front desk was also a big plus, making check-in and other inquiries hassle-free for travelers. Handling Emergencies Well There were two instances when the power went out unexpectedly. However, Space Hotel managed the situation efficiently—they repaired the electricity system quickly and even arranged for guests to move to another branch near KL Sentral if needed. Both times, the issue was resolved before 11 PM, so we could sleep comfortably with the AC back on. The staff kept us informed and provided clear solutions, which I really appreciated. Final Thoughts Space Hotel gave me a fantastic and affordable accommodation experience. After exploring the city all day, I always returned to a comfortable place where I could rest well. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kuala Lumpur!

The theme is really cool and the space pods provide loads of privacy which is rare for a hostel, the blue lighting is fun in the pods too. The location within KL itself is good however when you walk out the door there are loads of local men just hanging around and waiting which as a female on her own can be intimidating

Great place with good things around. Plenty restaurants and everything nearby. The capsule was super clean and the staff very friendly. It’s not very quiet but better than normal dorm rooms. Unfortunately the TV was not working, but that doesn’t change the overall quality.

The location is very good, only 1 mins away from China town and few minutes from market. The hostel is at Pasar Seni station. You can easy to get MRT or Sky rail to Pavilion or KL central. The hostel is very cool, provide free cold/hot water also free tea bags. The capsule is very safe need to use key to access locker and capsule. The only thing is cleaner need to vacuum the corner of inside door rails because they have some debris. The bath room and toilets cleaner always keep it clean. I really like this hotel will stay next when I visit KL.

This place is great value for the price — very clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The reception staff are super friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. It has a warm, safe, and friendly atmosphere, perfect for both solo and family travelers. The location is excellent — right in the center and within walking distance to major attractions and Chinatown. Would definitely recommend it for a budget-friendly and pleasant stay.

This is a really nice hostel—definitely worth what you pay for. The night receptionist, Ismal, is very accommodating. The entire place is always clean, including the toilets, and they offer 24/7 reception. You can even do a self check-in and they also have laundry area which is very convenient for travelers. Its futuristic! They knew what the travelers need. Highly recommended!

I stated her for 5 nights and it is magnificent! The atmosphere and the hotel esthetic are very well thought and made. Different than any hotel I've booked before. The staff are friendly and helpful, earing utensils are available and the price is on the low mid to low side comparing to other Kuala Lumpur center hotels. Definitely recommending it for those who never tried capsule sleeping before!
