Spaceships Campervan & Motorhome Rentals

It was our second time renting from Spaceships - We had a fantastic time, very easy rental and drop off, friendly people and a great car that had everything we needed but was still easy to handle and not too expensive. I really want to keep this gem of a rental company to myself and not tell you about it - but they are just so nice. So if you think about going on a road trip in a spaceship: do!!

Terrible experience. They promised to deliver the van, but due to their mistake with the pickup time, I couldn’t get it. They gave me a code to pick up the keys, but it says it is only active at 10:00 PM instead of 10:00 AM. Because of this error, they cannot deliver the van on time. We paid for the whole day, but they are not honoring it. I called the emergency number and they said it wasn’t their fault and refused to help. I’ve been waiting for hours with no solution. Very unprofessional and stressful.

Do not doubt and rent your campervan with Spaceships. Even though there is a contactless pick up and drop off (which works flawless and is very quick and convenient), the service is outstanding! The online support is very responsive, personal and works great, very impressive! Flexibility of the company is great as we could easily change our drop off time and easily book an extra day. Prices are fair for what you get: very descent and clean campers with a good set up. We had the smaller one, the volkswagen cady. Car drives smoothly and is convenient in Scottish roads. The bed with linnen is great and sets up easily. There is enough storage under the bed and above the front seats to put everything away. The extra equipment (table, chairs, cookeware,..) was of descent quality and usefull, the gasstove even came with 4 gas canisters! The tent is not huge, but sufficient and sets up easily. No small letters or traps, just a very honest and reliable company to rent your campervan and fully enjoy your holiday. We will definitely rent again with Spaceships and recommend this to everyone. +5 stars from our side !

Their "touchless service" means they don't have service. They have a phone number and videos. If you want to figure out how to use their RV unit, it's going to be up to you to take your time to watch videos. They have NO ONE you can see face to face. Our RV unit worked fine right up until the transmission went out. They couldn't locate a service vendor to get to the unit for 7 hours. Spaceship couldn't tell us when they would get there. They couldn't tell us where we would end up nor could they tell us when. Choose an alternative supplier with real people. A professionally run outfit that understand RVs and how to treat customers. - David

My Family of 5 traveled for a month in December around UK in Europe using the Spaceships UK Rental hiring their Family Motorhome. This choice was the best decision we made as we could not have traveled to all the different countries : England, Scotland, France, Italy, Austria, Germany, Belgium so seamlessly with 3 children if it was not for the motor home. The vehicle drive like a dream and saved us having to check in-out of hotels and trying to catch taxi-uber vans a huge amount which is not easy with 5 people and 5-6 suitcases. It's been 7 months and i still have not recovered back to normal from the trip as i want to do it again but this time for a whole year. It was life changing being exposed to so many cultures with such short drive unlike the isolation here is Australia. We had some learning motor home traveling hiccups along the way. Where Ryan and the team at Spaceships were extremely professional and responsive to assist us throughout the whole journey. Even during the difficult busy Xmas holiday period. The motor home was comfortable, clean and reliable. My son said he misses his little cocoon bed at the back he used to hibernate like a bear back there in. If you are planning to pack a lot into a traveling holiday and exploring UK-Europe with a large family. I highly recommend hiring a family motorhome from SPACESHIPS UK rentals! We took a Spaceship Dreamsleeper Mini from London to France on the Eurotunnel and it was the most easy, adventurous, liberating holiday you could do. Contactless pickup and drop off was easy and simple. Then we were able to drive freely through country France where we saw poppies, sunflowers and rolls of wheat. We were able to visit cities (inc Paris), towns, mountains and gorges… we even made it the St Tropez in the south of France. It was an absolutely blissful holiday and I’d definitely recommend it to everyone. The number of campsites in the UK and France in summer is amazing. Great value, adventurous holiday where you design your own itinerary. Must do!

This camper was absolutely perfect for our 2 week trip around Ireland. It comfortably fitted 4 bikes and 4 people, without the need for a rack. Fun to drive and great to sleep in, and we were happy with the price. Dave was an absolute legend. We left our wallet in the bus that dropped us off at the pick up point, and he actually managed to pursue it like we were in some sort of budget action movie by driving after it for 15 minutes. What a great guy. Everything was clean and easy to use. Would definitely recommend!
