The service was absolutely 10/10 the staff here are so committed to providing a beautiful dining experience they are so passionate and well fitted to the hospitality industry. The food is also wonderful we had our last meal before we left here as we wanted to save the best for last and the team did not disappoint. We were very happy with all the food and the service, keep up the great work guys.

It was an amazing night, from the beginning to the end, was just perfect. Gasper was the best waiter ever, he made us feel special and every recommendation was just accurate. We definitely will come back! Pd. Order the Slovenian plate as entrance Pd2. Let Gasper surprise you!

I rarely had such a perfect experience. The waiters are so friendly and can tell you everything about the wines and food with such a passion. Combine that with a cozy multiple smaller rooms restaurant and amazing food and you have my five stars.

While the food was 8/10 (except the overcooked scampi in the Sea pot), the service was poor for this price range. You’d expect the waiters to know their menu well and know how to advise and serve the customers (especially when it comes to wine). I guess some of the staff were new but this is not an excuse for this type of restaurant.

Perfection! We loved everything about it. The food, wine and service were all outstanding. It’s a homely feeling restaurant with just 3 small dining rooms. To eat we shared ribeye & tenderloin (300g each). The meat was excellent quality. We also had vegetables, baked potatoes, porcini mushroom sauce & garlic butter. Bottle of Cultus red wine was excellent. The chocolate soufflé was great to finish.

If you’re a tourist, don’t even think about dining here without reading my review and others like it. I visited this restaurant for the first time on a Wednesday evening around 9:30 PM. When I greeted the staff and asked if they had a table for two, two employees responded simultaneously with contradictory answers: one said the restaurant was full, while the other claimed they were closing soon, even though the restaurant’s closing time was 11 PM. This conflicting information was confusing and unprofessional. Determined to give them another chance, I returned on Sunday around 6:30 PM. I greeted the staff again and inquired about a table for two. They asked if I had a reservation, and when I said no, they informed me they were fully booked. The restaurant was eerily quiet, and I noticed two employees standing idle at the reception. Given that they also have an indoor terrace, it was clear they weren’t at full capacity, casting doubt on their claim of being fully booked. I shared these experiences with locals, and they were astonished by the treatment I received. To add, during my many visits to Slovenia, I’ve never encountered such poor service. This restaurant does not reflect Slovenian hospitality in any way. I ended up dining elsewhere and had a delightful experience.

My wife and I had a delightful experience at Špajza restaurant in the heart of Ljubljana. From the moment we arrived, the waiters impressed us with their exceptional politeness and friendliness. We noticed a diverse mix of customers, many from different countries, which added to the welcoming ambiance. The atmosphere, especially outside, was truly wonderful. We had a fantastic time and are already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommended!

What an experience! The sommelier is sooooo helpful and informative. He paired each of our courses with the perfect accompanying wine - all Slovenian and not available outside the country. In a very friendly, non-wine-snob manner. Food was incredible too. Highly recommend!
