Špajza Restaurant

A small restaurant so make a reservation during high season. We ordered the charcuterie board (local fare and delicious) and 500 kg steak which was tender and cooked perfectly. A good wine list which some good cheaper options. Service was good. If you’re looking for a good steak dinner this is it.

Visited based on positive reviews though there were some pretty negative reviews criticising the service. We booked dinner on a Saturday night - there was only one table when we turned up at 8pm but it gradually filled up. The waiter recommended the beef cheek and it was a dream - wonderful flavours and oh so tender and melts on your mouth. The pate was also outstanding as was the dry aged beef (soaked in gin and thyme). The beef was served with a blueberry mustard and ketchup and we ordered a side of truffle sauce which was delicious!

First meal in Ljubljana. I went for lunch and found a seat easily. They have a lovely courtyard in the back in addition to seating inside. I would highly recommend getting a seat outside. Spajza is known for their steaks so I had to try one for myself. The food and service was great. I was steered toward a 350gram serving which I ordered medium rare. It was cooked to perfection. I also got the tuna tartar as a starter that was equally delicious. If you are in town looking for a steak to satisfy your hunger make sure to put Spajza at the top of your list.

The service was absolutely 10/10 the staff here are so committed to providing a beautiful dining experience they are so passionate and well fitted to the hospitality industry. The food is also wonderful we had our last meal before we left here as we wanted to save the best for last and the team did not disappoint. We were very happy with all the food and the service, keep up the great work guys.

If you are looking for food option with met I would suggest this restaurant. For ppertizers we had some proscutto and beef tartat. Main dish was lamb and we finished with some kobe beef. We had Carniola and Movia red wine. Prices are high but for quality and locariin acceptable

I rarely had such a perfect experience. The waiters are so friendly and can tell you everything about the wines and food with such a passion. Combine that with a cozy multiple smaller rooms restaurant and amazing food and you have my five stars.

Perfection! We loved everything about it. The food, wine and service were all outstanding. It’s a homely feeling restaurant with just 3 small dining rooms. To eat we shared ribeye & tenderloin (300g each). The meat was excellent quality. We also had vegetables, baked potatoes, porcini mushroom sauce & garlic butter. Bottle of Cultus red wine was excellent. The chocolate soufflé was great to finish.
