How to See Utah's National Parks on an RV Trip

"An informal, social RV park where a quick dip in the hot tub can turn into a lengthy conversation; the pool is lively with kids, and neighbors readily swap trail tips and stories, making it an easy place to meet fellow travelers after exploring local parks." - Ellen Carpenter

Google
Spanish Trail RV park was a nice spot for us to stay in Moab. Just outside downtown you can easily jet over to get food or check out the local shops but are far enough away that you aren’t in the midst of everything the whole time. Great location allowing us to be in a nice mid range from many of the off road trails as well. The boys (our dogs) didn’t mind that the dog park had no grass and the weather was nice enough that there being no shade there didn’t make a difference to us. The dog park area was well supplied with bags for dog waste and it seems either the current guests or the staff made sure there were left overs from others which was great! We also had an after hours need and the staff were extremely helpful and responsive. I would definitely recommend this spot as a place to stay in your RV in Moab.

Google
Seems every RV park in Moab is along the freeway. This one is set back enough, no road noise! Wide spaces, little grass watch and a tree and table with each space. Nice flas gravel drive. Heated pool and spa! Great showers and restrooms. Laundry. Owners super nice. No campfires. Propane okay. Would stay here again.

Terri Fisher

Google
Great location in Moab! The sites are beautifully landscaped. The pool is nice as well as the laundry. This is our second time staying here and we will be back.

Google
Earlier this week I called and left 2 voice mails, during business hours, inquiring about a spot for the night. They couldn’t be bothered to call back. So when we arrived in Moab we stopped in. We were told they had a 20% discount going so the price would be around $80. There are much better choices and thankfully we found them. I never bothered to tell the girl sitting at the desk I had left 2 messages earlier in the day that weren’t returned. The whole thing was just a poor experience.

Google
Our first time here and it definitely won’t be our last. One of our new favorite places to stay. Kids love the pool and hot tub. The restrooms and showers are clean, and we love the grass area for hanging outside and the pup loves it too. We love that it’s not in the middle of town and on the outskirts, yet not a far drive to activities. We will be back for sure!

Zachary Gerow

Google
Stayed here for the month of December 2022. A very clean, well kept RV park. The hot tub was open all winter which was amazing! Pool in the summer. The entire park is fenced in which provides a nice sense of security. There is a dog park & a dog walking area. Plenty of room for wide turns-there is a separate lot for tow trailers, extra vehicles, toys etc - there is an additional charge. Laundry room & bathrooms open 24hrs. Winter sites had heat tape on the water lines - bonus! Just far enough from town, fill your propane at Farm & City Feed Store. Great views of the La Sal Mountains! Friendly & accommodating staff, highly recommended staying here. Thank You for a great month stay!

Google
This RV park is Absolutely not pet friendly! There is a very small pin that is nothing but rocks so you can’t throw a ball and the dog walkways are nothing but gravel rock so unless you use a grassy area that is supposed to be for the RVs your dog has nowhere to go if they are well trained! The spacious sites are not spacious and the shade tree and postage stamp size grass around the sites are minuscule. The grass looks nice, but it doesn’t serve a purpose because they turn on the sprinklers in the late morning when you’re trying to get out there and fix breakfast or pack up to go so that was an inconvenience to say the least! One of the worst aspects of this RV park is that right behind it without any privacy fence to block it is a view of a dump yard! And the red rock cliffs are so obscured by all of the electrical wiring, which is not the RVs park fault but they could’ve picked a better location! I would not recommend this RV Park, obviously many of us in there do not utilize the restrooms so that wouldn’t have been a consideration, the Pool had debris at the bottom of it so was not inviting. I would not recommend this RV park and right across the street is an RV park that is so much nicer!

Jeff Thurston

Google
Our RV site was fairly level and large enough to hold our 43’ coach with room left for our towed vehicle to park. A shade tree over the picnic table was appreciated in the 90+ heat. Convenient to downtown Moab’s shopping and entertainment as well an easy access from the region’s major attractions. Strong water pressure with good flavor; decent wifi; and friendly staff. Only downside at all was the interior dirt roads which made dusty conditions inevitable as campers came and went, but we would stay here again.

Yelp
Loni and Mike the the managers at this park, are two of the nicest people you will ever run into on your rving journey. This is a great Park and we have stayed here multiple times. It is a great location to explore Moab and all surrounding areas including Arches, Canyonlands, Dead Horse Point and many other amazing geological wonders. This park is truly a gem in an amazing location.

Marge A.

Yelp
Absolutely NOT worth the price. Most sites are not level. They measure way short when they tell you the size of the site. Sprinklers are HORRIBLE. They only hit your rig and vehicles. Not just sprinkle...everything drenched and their water is horrible so it stains BAD water spots. Not impressed and way over priced.

Mark F.

Yelp
Sites are very nice, showers excellent, staff are great. Cons : It would be an excellent place to view stars.. It would have been nice to see the Milky Way instead of inconsiderate RVers showing off how much light their RVs have. Pet owners and people - burrs and goat heads all over the park.
google avatar

Ronda F.

Yelp
Decent park near Moab. Most sites are not level but fortunately our site was. The park is located on a busy highway so it can be noisy. Good laundry facilities and a small pool.
google avatar

Cheryl P.

Yelp
The staff were very courteous. The sites are extremely tight for a big rig especially considering the small lawn (weeds) space isn't kept mowed and the picnic table is right in the middle. No dog fence allowed on the grass (weeds) making it feel even smaller. The website definitely makes it look waaaaay better than it actually is. Wifi is terrible.

Josh A.

Yelp
After 8 years of coming to this spot, we will never go back. maintenance guy Mike has anger issues and his son isn't much better. Showers stayed dirty for 5 days. And the hot tub and pool always look dirty. If you are looking for a place to just park and a sleep, this is your spot. But if you want to use the facilities and enjoy, Choose a different park!!!!

Craig P.

Yelp
extremely small sites lawn area looks like hasn't been mowed in weeks one debris box in entire place no soap in bathrooms toilet paper thinner than rolling paper

Yelp
Planned a vacation with my brother and sister in law and we were set to camp next to each other over the weekend. Reservation set, all good to go. We actually made better time than we expected and were arriving a day early. Called in to see if they had an opening, and my brother was able to stay in his spot a day early, but the very nice lady on the phone explained that I would have to spend the first night in another spot and move over in the morning. No problem. Next morning went to the office to find out if I needed to move before or after checkout, and to put it mildly, the man at the desk behind the teenage girl (not the one I talked to the evening before) ended up yelling there was nothing he was going to do and there was absolutely no way I was going to be moved into the spot I reserved. "We don't guarantee your campsite number!" Yes, but the lady last night said I was going to move to it this morning. "There is no way she would have told you that, there is no way." The campground itself is ok, it's pricey for unlevel gravel, but the pool and hot tub was clean and the utilities all worked. Except wifi. Horrid wifi.
google avatar

Nancy M.

Yelp
The park itself was decent. The ladies in the office were very nice. The dude in the office was a grumpy old man though. Everything else was good.

Jason B.

Yelp
Rude management. My experience was from early 2020, so I hope they've cleaned up their act since. I went online to book our spot. It showed the prices. I clicked to book it which took me to the actual pricing page, etc. The trouble was, the prices on the booking page were much higher than the advertised rates on previous pages. I called to see if they'd book it manually for me at the advertised rate. They said they were in the process of updating everything on all pages. I respectfully asked if they're manually book me at the advertised rates. They arrogantly told me to go stay somewhere else. I looked into this place further and it turns out they've got a real problem treating tons of customers very rudely. I won't be back, and I think it's best for everyone that doesn't like being treated rudely to go stay at one of the many other parks in town that are much nicer.
google avatar

Linda W.

Yelp
We usually just check into a KOA. The KOA near this campground was twice the price. The trees shade most sites. They have a stamped concrete patio with nice picnic table on welcomed green grass after being in Arizona all winter. The pool and hot tub helped sore backs. Staff were helpful and friendly. I'd go again.

Yelp
We loved this rv park! Beautiful views and good location. Spacious sites and nice pool, and gorgeous shower facilities!
google avatar

Tara S.

Yelp
We stayed here on our last few nights in Moab, we couldn't have found a better park to stop in! Literally minutes from everything, so much space for our LARGE rig and truck... and our rock crawler as well lol. The park has a beautiful pool and spa that is well maintained. Cleanest bathrooms and showers around. And an amazing view! Will definitely be staying here again when we visit!
google avatar

Jennifer B.

Yelp
Very well maintained RV park. Very clean, new bathrooms, and the pool and hot tub area is new and very clean, Nice grass and trees at each sight, would love to return,

Diana L.

Yelp
Love this park. Clean and level sites. 50 amp service. Laundry and wonderful showers. Love the walking path around the park for your dogs and the enclosed dog run. They even have doggie duty clean up stations. Great touch. Fantastic laundry facility. CLEAN - organized with everything you need. A+ Restaurant across the street is awesome if you don't feel like cooking. Shell station also across street to fuel up your off road vehicle before you go exploring. We will be back. This is a great park.
google avatar

Sharissa B.

Yelp
We camped her with our motorhome back in October and love it! The kids had a blast in the pool and the laundry facilities were clean!
google avatar

Lauren S.

Yelp
We made a reservation before the office closed and when we arrived our check in packet was not there but after calling the number posted the staff helped us get settled no problem. The spaces were clean and well maintained. It was a hot night but the lounge for reading with AC was great. The laundry rooms, bathrooms and shared spaces are all modern, and very nice. Wish we had planned on staying more then one night. Because you are so close to 2 national parks it would be nice if the office had a box to drop payment into. We left before they were open to hit the trails and beat the summer heat.

Aliza M.

Yelp
This was an excellent place to stay for activities in and around Moab. This rv campground is very well cared for and main. Clean, super nice bathrooms (each one had its own toilet, sink, shower, shower chair, rubber mats in and out, space in shower for products). Cleaned frequently and nicely tiled. Sites had nice grass. The heated pool area a tremendous bonus! Will definitely stay here again!

Yelp
Worst camping experience ever! Extremely rude staff, ridiculous high rates, just feet off the highway so you can hear the traffic all hours, and little to no accommodations. I arrived after the day after the rest of my family, and went to pay for additional camping fees at the office. I was told it was only $5 for me, my vehicle and my tent. At 11pm, a girl wanders over and tells me she's with management and I have to take down my tent because they don't allow stakes in the ground. I informed her I hadn't staked it to the ground and I had confirmed it was okay, she called me a liar and told me I had no choice but to take it down. So we asked to speak to management. A burly man drives over, jumps out of his truck and immediately starts yelling at us to take down the tent or we're all out on our asses. We tried explaining that it was the middle of the night and we had asked before setting up the tent, and they called us liars again. They had reasons for not allowing tents, such as no stakes, tents kill grass, they water every night, and said it was in a pamphlet we had signed before we camped. But it wasn't okay to move the tent to the gravel next to my vehicle that was still on the site itself, and it was not listed in the pamphlet anywhere. The man and his wife continued to yell, waking up the 3 sleeping children in the camper at 11pm, and said he was going to call the deputy to have us forcefully removed because we "just weren't getting it". "You can either go to another camping spot or a hotel, we don't give a ****!" We were trying to de-escalate the situation by that point, and it came out that someone else had been trying to shoot off guns in the park and they assumed we were going to be just like them and took it out on us. I cannot believe the utter disrespect for paying patrons. We will NEVER be returning here!

Yelp
This is THE best campground in all of Moab. We have stayed at all of them. It's clean and tidy and the atmosphere is overall just a happy camper kind of place. They have a pool and hot tub, which people do use. People are polite about following the quiet hour rules. Bathrooms are pretty clean. My husband always prefers to use the bathrooms instead of the Motorhome. We live nearby, but always meet our friends here when they come to town. It's a great place. It has very nice trees at each site and stunning views.
google avatar

Kyle T.

Yelp
Outstanding place. Very friendly and extremely clean bathrooms/ showers. Heated pool and nice laundry room. Highly recommend staying here. You won't be disappointed
google avatar

Angie L.

Yelp
It's great! You'll be comfortable and in a fun and convenient location with great WiFi. Our kids loved the pool, I loved the super clean and fresh construction of the laundry room and tv room. We spent half a day in Arches National Park and enjoyed the pool afterwards. During check out, I spotted a pile of the local red rocks on the property and went in to ask if I could snag a small one to take home Texas and they were kind enough to give me one.

Suzanne B.

Yelp
All I can say is I give this place a double on the five stars they are fantastic. I came into town from the other side of the United States and I have been staying different places and I got here fell in love with it and asked if I could stay until next week when I got my pension check I wanted to stay put they worked out a really nice deal very very sweet offer and of course I took it aside from them helping me out like that the place is very clean the bathrooms are each private bathrooms just like your own home bathroom each each bathroom as a toilet a sink and a shower with a door that is just yours do use with a nice pool and a hot tub and a brand new laundry room that is spotless so don't pass this little gem up it's perfect and hats off to the ladies in the office they are doing a great job running this place this is from a little birdie named Suzanne

Yelp
I'm knocking a star for a lack of a pool. I had forgotten this and went searching after mountain biking and it made it sting even worse due to my stupidity. Friendly people, quiet park, level sites. Dog friendly, although they have a breed restriction list which includes Pitt bills, but my pit mix didn't seem to stir the pot, or they didn't notice.

L D.

Yelp
Beautiful facility, excellent front desk service but extremely overpriced. Out of all of the RV resorts we have stayed at in the last 2 months of traveling, we have never encountered such a rude owner. Save your money and consider the KOA or even a BLM site which are plentiful in Moab. The Portal was also very nice and comparable.

K C.

Yelp
Don't bother!! They cancelled our reservations and THEY charged us $45 for refund fee for April. COVID is not a reason to make money off people when YOU close your business and took the deposits. Shame on you. Plenty of places to stay in Moab with very helpful owners!!!

Amy H.

Yelp
Great campground. We arrived after the office closed at 5 pm and they left our info outside the office. Gravel sites with a cute red concrete sidewalk and a small piece of grass and picnic table. Pool was clean and refreshing after a long day in Moab and open until 10 pm!! I would definitely stay here again!!

Yelp
Spanish Trails RV Park in Moab is a wonderful facility. The sites have nicely cared for lawns and are shaded by mature 30-year-old trees. The bathrooms are top-notch, roomy and extraordinarily clean. Each has a shower and there are enough of them that I never had to wait. There's a spotless pool with arching water jets that thrill kids. Even the white gravel roads are well maintained. The management is very friendly, professional and eager to be helpful. Spanish Trails attracts a lot of high-end RV's. These are people who know and appreciate quality--many return regularly. It is quiet here, the trees help to dampen the road noise. The people who stay here are not partiers, they are politely quiet and very friendly. Driving past the newer RV parks in Moab, I see RVs parked in the sun with little or no shade and exposed to wind and road noise. As such make Spanish Trails your first pick. I have to share that I read a review on YELP about Spanish Trails that really bothered me. I strongly believe it to be a bogus review by someone with an agenda. It says they were thrown out of the facility because they complained that the pool, laundry, bathrooms, were all broken down for 4 days. As an investigative writer, I interviewed the whole staff--it never happened. I also talked with other guests and staff. The real story is management did have to ask one man to leave because he was yelling at everyone. I like it that the management cares enough about their clients to run off someone who is spoiling it for everyone else. The management threats their employees like family and they all take great pride in their work.

Yelp
We stayed here last year and loved it. Clean level sites with nice green grass yards and lots of shade trees. Conveniently located to Canyonlands, Arches and Dead Horse. Short trip to Moab. Very friendly staff. We plan on staying there again this year.

Kelly K.

Yelp
Stayed in October. Escort to site. Pull-through, not very long, had to unhook tow which was ok because we stayed a week. Nice grassy area at site with table and tree. Gravel site, rows are tiered so you're overlooking the row in front of you. Nice pool and hot tub. Spotty WiFi; slow most of the time but sometimes ok. Fuzzy, unwatchable cable TV. Right off the highway but the stayed in the back row so the noise wasn't too bad. Close to town and Arches NP.

Yelp
If I could knock all the stars, I would - they ripped me off!!!! Had a two-day reservation with this park. When I showed, I was told there was no reservation in their system, and no more room at the park. We went to Moab RV Park instead - where we had a great experience! Two days later I received a charge for one night stay - from Spanish Trails RV Park. Called the park and was told I was a "no-show". Explained that my wife, my father-in-law and myself showed but were turned away. Got the run-around for a week, and was finally told by the manager, that I must have gone to the wrong park, or just did not show up. Have never been called a liar by a business before - what a bizarre business practice! Your mileage may vary, but they lost all of my future business - period!
google avatar

Sean D.

Yelp
The facilities are well established and laid out. The garbage cans are old, dilapidated, and leak. Just gives the park a run down trashy feel. Good fencing and lights in facility for safety and security. The wifi is a complete joke. Barely enough signal to log on then you lose it. Not that hard to install booster routers at the buildings they have around the park. The restrooms are extremely dated. Just need a sprucing up, new tile and new paint would make it feel so much nicer. However they did smell of cleaner and were clean the times I used them so that's a plus. The showers are extremely dated, cracking and have black mold/gunk on corners. The tile looks like it's from the 60-70s. Not hard to tear it up and put in new tile. Plenty of hot water.

Yelp
Great spot. Friendly staff. Stayed in a 23' Airstream. Full hookups. Great pool. Would stay again. Well managed. WiFi sketchy.

Yelp
We are on a year trip and felt this was a perfect place. All the parks are on main road but when in camper hear nothing. Location is perfect. 5 miles from downtown..grocery store etc. Spacious lots with grass and trees for shade. Not many parks have shade. 95 degrees out you need trees. Office friendly. Good Sam discount. Would stay here again.

Nancy D.

Yelp
We took a chance on this park. It was half the cost of KOA. We are so glad we did. Nice park with new bathrooms. Great laundry facilities and nice people.

Noell L.

Yelp
We recently stayed at this park for a family Christmas vacation. The park itself is just fine. The bathrooms are very nice. So long as you don't have any issues or need any help, your stay will likely be just fine. The woman running the front desk seemed nice until we had an issue. We were renting an RV and the rig had a problem with the electrical system. We could not get our slide outs to slide in so we were unable to move the RV for a bit. At 10:45a.m., she came out to tell us that if we did not vacate by 11:00, we would be charged an extra night. We explained our situation and told her that we were trying to find someone to help us. Would it be okay if we couldn't move for a few hours while? We fully understood that if we had stayed another night, we would certainly pay for this. She was not willing to give us a few hours even though we were practically the only RV on the property and there were no reservations for the site in the coming few days. I think she called the owner and he told her to help us out. She finally gave us the name of an RV repair guy and with his help we were able to leave the campground by 2:00. Ultimately, she did not charge us, but this seems to be only after someone higher up intervened. We canceled our reservations that we had with them for a night coming back from our trip and reserved at another RV park in Moab. We will not go back here as it was very stressful and sad to be harrassed will we had a problem.
google avatar

Roberta F.

Yelp
Good spot. Easy access, clean and quite. We just left right before the New year eve and I was a great spot for our family. Thank you.

Jeannette H.

Yelp
Spanish Trail is a very nice rv park in a beautiful location. It has nice, gravel, pull through sites with shade trees. The only fly in the ointment is the general rudeness of the staff. Upon our arrival, we walked into the office where the clerk's first words to us were "check in time is 12:00". I asked her (half kidding/half not) if she wanted us to leave. She said, "yeah". Well...what to do? I asked her if our site was ready as we had reservations. I was quite frankly shocked at her lack of customer service skills. She pushed a few buttons on the computer and said we could go to a site after all. I don't mean to sound like I am just a grumpy camper, but really I do believe she could have returned our smiles and hellos with a welcome to our campground. She could have said let me see if I can find you a spot before she reprimanded us about getting there early. Also, as others have said, wifi is awful. Might as well not have it.

Yelp
As good as it gets in Moab, exceptionally well maintained gravel on red rock park with lots of mature trees. All utilities were recently redone, 50 amp power, cable and generous spaces all a plus. Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. The Manger takes a great amount of pride in her park. Sites are well layed out, we pulled in with a 40' pusher and car hauler trailer, no problem. Fantastic view of La Salle mountains, just minuets from downtown Moab. We have have stayed in more expensive Moab parks, but will come back here. All thats missing is the hot tub !
google avatar

D'Arcy C.

Yelp
Up against the mountain it does offer some relief from the blazzing heat after sunset. Loved the individual grassy areas at our site. Dogs were in heaven! It was very busy but so quiet. I would highly recommend this park and will stay here again.

Susan B.

Yelp
The laundry and bathrooms were the best part of this park. WiFi was the worst. Pretty much nonexistent. Sites are close together and quiet hours are not enforced. Two long, loud party nights from 4 sites. Called the after hours phone but no one answered. Talked to office staff the next day, they told me the after hours line closes at 10:00 pm and that I should have nicely asked the 4 sites partying half the day to be quiet. Unless you want to try to enforce park rules stay at one of the many other RV parks in town.

Jim P.

Yelp
This is an awesome park! Everyone we dealt with, from top to bottom, were really nice. We felt like we were old friends from the minute we arrived. We can't wait to get back. We'll definitely be staying here again.

Teri G.

Yelp
We had a great stay here and if we ever come back to Moab we would stay again. The pool was great and the showers were the best we have ever seen!

Rita S.

Yelp
Great RV park with a wonderful view! Spanish Trails is very well maintained. The showers are very clean, large and modern. The toilet and shower are in the same individual shower room. The staff are so helpful. We had a member of our party who made a reservation for the following day, not the day we arrived. There were no spaces available for the night, so the staff located another RV park that had a space for the night. Because so many groups use Spanish Trails it would be nice to have two areas for groups to meet instead of just one.
google avatar

Juanice G.

Yelp
This is the best RV park ever. From the time you are greeted to setting up & finding the best places to eat in Moab, Utah. It is very close to the Arches National Park as well as Canyonland National Park. These two parks are a must, every corner you turn is breathtaking, make sure to bring your camera. This RV Park is very clean & everything is updated. Wonderful for your pets. The staff is the best ever. Congrats to Loni & the other wonderful staff gal who helped us with everything. This is definitely one of the favorites in the area as it is booked out everyday. A gift to stay here, hopefully one day we will be back.

Edythe K.

Yelp
We have stayed at Spanish Trails multiple times. The park is under new ownership and Lonnie and Mike (the new managers)are making great updates to the park. The park has free wifi that surprisingly works well, a clean laundry and nice restrooms. The park is situated at the outskirts of Moab with great views of the stunning red rock. They have additional parking available for ATV/UTV trailers. The sites are large enough to park your rig (we have a 37ft fifth wheel) your tow vehicle and a UTV. Most sites are well shaded with mature shade trees, a cement sidewalk and picnic table. The office staff have great information regarding the sites to see in the national parks (Arches and Canyonlands), Dead Horse Point State Park, and the local ATV trails, movie history sites and petroglyphs. Spanish Trails is our go to park for Moab which we visit at least twice a year.

Roy C.

Yelp
This is Good Sam RV park but is overrated for its environmental value because of the very substantial road noise. The traffic is bad at this intersection and lots of trucks have loud mufflers and everyone seems to take off like crazy from the service station across the street. Facilities are ok (laundry is over taxed, my wife had lots of delays getting clothes dry because a drier was on the blink), but take along some ear plugs. We stayed for three nights but regretted every night. There is a two day cancellation requirement. However, there is a great view of the mountains to east at sunset. One thing that I overheard at the office was the manager telling a guest that they didn't HAVE to ask whether they were Good Sam members (after some discussion of whether a discount applied). Maybe true but not good customer treatment. If you do stay here, ask for a back row site assignment to reduce the noise.
google avatar

Patricia D.

Yelp
Stopped here because it shows it's a Passport America park. Informed they didn't take PA in Sept or Oct. they only give PA rates in the summer and winter. This might have been worth the $20 PA rate but definitely not worth the $40+ we paid. I've stayed in $40 parks before and this sure wasn't of the same caliber as any of them. Save yourself the annoyance and road noise and try something different.

Yelp
Stayed here 5 nights, July 2015 I admit, I was concerned about it being sooo hot, in a camper, in Utah from reading other reviews. It seems to be difficult to find a campground with trees. Spanish trail is the place to be if you want some nice shade trees but not too big to interfere with your setup! I was afraid it was going to be brutally hot like other reviews I've read. I did not wanna come back to a sweltering hot camper after being out in the heat all day. I almost cancelled going to Utah. Thank goodness I live in 100 degree weather with 100 percent humidity, it made the "heat" in Utah quite a pleasure. It is NOT that hot in Utah! On with the review..... I didn't make a reservation because that's how we planned our trip, no plan. I really didn't think we'd get a spot here, let alone for 5 nights. Called while we were on the road and they had a spot for us, no problem. Checking in, the staff were very friendly and gave us lots of info, very nice people. Pulled into the site easily, hooked up and we were good to go. I loved the concrete walk on the site, had nice shade trees on both sides, nice and clean table, it was perfect! There were a lot of campers there but it wasn't full. It was quiet, for the amount of people that were there, not much action going on, which to me is a good thing. Yes, there is some road noise but it's not that bad like I've read in other reviews. We were on the second row. There's one main road through Moab and every campground sits off of that road. You don't hear road noise in your camper at night. The whole facility is great, bathrooms, very clean and comfortable to shower, laundry room, everything worked fine and I don't complain about the cost, it's not that bad, I don't mind paying, where else are you gonna go to wash and be able to sit by your camper comfortably and wait, with a beautiful view. It's not far from grocery stores or the shopping area. There's a gas station and a restaurant right across the street. We walked to it. Very convenient location and out of the chaos of downtown Moab. Too much going on down there for me. Easy ride to Arches, Canyonlands and Dead Horse. This was the perfect campground for us and what we like, quiet and away from the hustle and bustle. Do not leave your awning out! We were lucky enough to experience a wind storm while there. We were warned! Wind started kicking and we jumped in our chairs to enjoy it. It was like sitting out in a hurricane without the rain, it was awesome, until the dust started stinging us and getting into our eyes. It was a lot of fun but that wind will rip your awning off. We did fold up our chairs and tuck things away at night because of the wind storms. It will take the chair! This is the place to stay if you wanna be close to everything but away from it all. And, after seeing where all of the other campgrounds were we were even more pleased to be where we were. Every time we passed other campgrounds we said "thank goodness we got in Spanish trail"! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope we are able to have a chance to come back. I would recommend Spanish Trail to everyone I know!
