Google
Sweetest little winery and such a chill vibe. If you love a good sweet wine, their gewürztraminer is delicious- perfectly sweet and crisp at the same time - ideal for those hot desert days! Their Slickrock Red is very nice as well - nice and light - not too heavy for a summer day. Josh was a great host and so knowledgeable about his wines. Definitely a cool experience on a warm day!

Nancy Samuels

Google
Josh was friendly and knowledgeable about his wines and the art of making wine in the Utah climate. His winery is small, and the wines are delicious. My every wine we tasted was flavorful, and none were very tannic. The Riesling and the Gewurztraminer were both sweet with nice fruity flavors, but not excessively sweet. Doing a wine tasting on their large shady patio was a fun activity following the myriad outdoor adventures we’ve enjoyed around Moab.

Spanish Valley Vineyard is a hidden gem in Moab for wine lovers. Their selection of wines is fantastic, offering something for every palate. The peaceful setting and gorgeous views add to the experience, making it a perfect spot for a relaxed afternoon. The staff is knowledgeable and welcoming, ensuring you get to fully appreciate the variety and quality of the wines. Definitely a must-visit for anyone looking to unwind with some excellent local wine!

We had a great time. Eli was our tasting room host and she knew her stuff. I am from California and my wife works in the wine industry. We enjoy tasting wine from other states on our vacations. We were pleasantly surprised with the wines tasted. Eli gave us a detailed history of the vineyard and the experimentation USU provided to see which grapes worked best. German whites and Cabernet top the list along with a Fruit wine (Cherry) and a Syrah with Yakima based grapes. I took home the estate red and it was a very good medium bodied wine. This was an unplanned stop after a long hot day of hiking in Canyonlands. It was a super informative and fun end of day. Highly recommended

Google
We held our welcome drinks at Spanish Valley Vineyards the night before our wedding, and it couldn't have been more perfect! The outdoor space was absolutely gorgeous, providing a picturesque setting for our guests. We were given the freedom to set up flowers, decorate the area, and arrange our own food, which made everything feel very personal and special. The vineyard itself is stunning, and the wine was excellent—our guests loved it! A huge thank you to Russ and the team for their incredible hospitality and for helping to make our event unforgettable. I highly recommend Spanish Valley Vineyards for any special gathering!

Google
Quaint winery outskirts of Moab. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Wine was great! Dog friendly. Lots of space for lounging around the property! Clean bathrooms. Worth a visit!

Google
Really great little place, just run by a couple of people. Rus gave us a tour of the place and we had a great time with him. Super interesting, non-traditional wine that you don't usually get to taste. Highly recommend going, we'll be back whenever we're in town!

Google
Lovely wine and great service! The back patio is beautiful. It was hot outside so they turned on the misters and fans. We cooled right off!

Nycole R.

Yelp
I always like to support local wineries, so when I learned that Moab had one, I made sure to stop by. Tours require a reservation, but you can drop in for just a tasting, which is what I did. I was able to try six different wines for $20. They ranged from a Riesling to a Cabernet Sauvignon and everything in between. I especially liked the cherry wine, which was unique. You can purchase bottles to go so it's nice to try them all to get an idea of what you'd like. Service was a little more laid back and casual that I expected, but I suppose that's the Moab vibe. If you want something bougie, this isn't the place for you.

Yelp
This is such a lovely spot, and the wines are delicious too. We did a tasting and enjoyed the wine and the conversation. Great service, delicious wine and a lovely indoors and outdoors. Right by Moab! :)

Alyssa A.

Yelp
What a great winery! We had such a wonderful time here, and they have incredible wines. Nearly all of their wines are made from grapes grown on site. We sat inside because of the heat, but they have lovely outdoor seating as well. But enjoying that delicious wine in the cool AC was the best. Great tastings. Their cherry and Cabernet Sauvignon were our two winners - had to bring home a couple bottles!! If we'd planned farther in advance, we would've liked to do the Vineyard tour. The estate looks gorgeous! Great time spent with great wine! Highly recommend.

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick wine tasting. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. Very comfortable environment with beautiful views. We ended up hanging out for while and chatting with the host. Great people, very good wine, no high pressure sales but we loved the wine and left with 3 bottles. We would highly recommend.

Claudia H.

Yelp
My husband and I came in to give the place a try. I love wine and let me tell you this place did not disappoint. The place is small, but the host was super friendly and welcoming. We did the tasting for $20 and the servings were good amounts. We bought three bottles and I can't wait to share with my family. I will definitely be a returning customer!

Liza F.

Yelp
We stopped in during the off season and got a bottle of wine to go. The employees were harvesting but had a sign to call them for assistance. Due to being off season they did not have the typical tasting, but she let us sample what was ok . Cute space, great patio for warmer months, super friendly employees, love the tasting room being right in the midst of the vineyard. Would love to visit when it gets warmer

Emily E.

Yelp
Lovely winery! We enjoyed the tasty wine in a shaded area outside, with views of the vineyard. Keep in mind, Utah laws forbid you to purchase and drink a full bottle of wine on the property (even if you're sharing!) Luckily, the amazing staff has an area that is technically private property where you can enjoy a full bottle of wine with your family. The views from that area are incredible, as proven from my photos.

Margaret S.

Yelp
Very nice local winery in Moab. Definitely worth seeing and I recommend a tasting. Their wines were very good, especially the Riesling... I am not a white wine drinker but it was tasty. $20 is reasonable.... Bring your own munchies-

Marc K.

Yelp
Being it's the only winery in this area, thought we'd give it a visit and figured it would be nice scenery instead of sitting in a bar. While it's a small winery, with some nice outdoor area in front and back, it only offered sampling at $15+ for six samples (3 white and 3 red). It's a pretty steep price for what basically is a 6 oz pour. Glasses of wine are not offered. The wines were okay nothing knocked our senses off. Honestly we were disappointed, were hoping for a better experience overall.

Beth W.

Yelp
Understanding Utah's alcohol laws and very small pour tasting shouldn't be 20 plus dollars. Your customer service needs some some help. We had a group but only 6 tastings. Server was very unwelcoming and put out that we didn't have a reservation. Sad. You also might want to install security cameras. Not sure employee putting cash in his pocket instead of the cash register is policy.

Hadassah A.

Yelp
It is nice to see an oasis in the desert. My friend and I live in NM and stop by a wine tasting and got to sample five wines. It was nice to see a small winery. The wines were great flavors. It has seat areas in the back and front. I bought a wine bottle, Gewurztraminer with a free reusable bag.

Yang P.

Yelp
Nice cute little vineyards. Views with the mountains backdrops are the only reason I'll be back. But disappoint at their tasting. Pricey ($20) with not so generous amount. Only white wines are made locals I believe.

Nicole T.

Yelp
A unique setting with friendly, staff that make you feel at home. The wines were great and a fun place to hang out on a day even with bad weather.

Taylor B.

Yelp
Phenomenal experience with Josh! Super personable and made the experience incredible for us. The wine tasted great and we loved the uniqueness of the tart cherry wine. Definitely recommend!

Ellen H.

Yelp
Woo Hoo! An adorable winery in Moab! Moab is a really cute place to visit, but they don't really have a lot of things to do besides swimming in the pool or going out to eat when you're done with your hike. Spanish Valley, Vineyard and Wineries is really cute, and it's not very far from the downtown area of Moab. We visited on a Friday in July at 4:30 and there was live music. We sat out in the back. Very comfortable seats, a cute little bar, and you're right by the grapes and vines. A really beautiful backdrop! We did a tasting that was $20 a person, and we had six different wines to try. This place is adorable, the people are friendly, the wine is good, and they even had misters to cool you off in the warm weather. We will be back next time we're in town. The only thing I wish is that they didn't close at six. This night they were open until seven because of the live music but normally they close at 6 PM. Thank you for the great evening!

Stephany R.

Yelp
Because of state law you can only get sips as wine tastings. Came in from out of town to enjoy our vacation in Utah and the people here look at you and treat you in a NOT so welcomed manner. I found it very disheartening since the vibe here was not welcoming. Cute place but geez what a horrible experience! If you're a tourist AND HISPANIC don't come here! youll feel sooooo out of place it was very uncomfortable.

Bill K.

Yelp
Mediocre wine.... very small pours (my guess is 1 oz vs 2-3 oz) ....it was $10 for 3 tastings or $20 for 5 pours. They had 6 varietals to choose from.

Michele O.

Yelp
Small tasting room. Only enough seats for 4 people inside. At a residence, in a building that once was the garage. So a little different, but that's okay. Sometimes different is good, as in this case. We enjoyed the visit; the whites were good. Husband declared the Riesling as the best he had ever tasted. Normally, Rieslings are sweet, this Riesling was on the dry side, so it was more to our taste. The winemaker was knowledgeable and personable, showing us his backroom operations and explaining in detail his methods. There is a $5 tasting fee. We left with 2 bottles of white wine. We were pleased with our purchase and the price point was reasonable. Interesting to note that as of Sept 2017, this winery and small vineyard is for sale.

Paula D.

Yelp
Sooo many delicious wines!! We learned so much about their wines and had a great time getting yo know each other and everyone that came in! We recommend the Gewurztraminer and the Cabernet!

John U.

Yelp
Was a little hard to find because main road to get there was washed out. Our server, Russ, was nice and knowledgeable about the wines. We bought a bottle of the cab to take with us

Claire P.

Yelp
Lovely little oasis in the desert. We did a wine tasting and got to sample seven wines for about $15, which I thought was a good deal! The wines were excellent and they had a good local selection. The sommelier was knowledgeable and very friendly. I bought a bottle of Riesling as a gift!

Sarah M.

Yelp
The service at this place is awful. We went here a few days ago and waiting for half an hour to get served before just leaving. There were two people working there and only one other group tasting wine. We were told by the woman working there that she would bring two tastings outside to us but she either forgot or just didn't want to. The other guy working there at the time just completely ignored us while we waited outside. When I went over to look inside to see if she was going to bring us the wine, she wasn't there. We were told specifically that we couldn't go inside because we had our 5 year old son with us and to just wait, hence why we were waiting outside of the building.

Erin L.

Yelp
Owner was really cool, explaining each wine and the recommendations on pairing with foods. Picked up a couple German table wines, one dry and one sweet. Excited to try them; sweet pairs with braut and dry with cream cheese jalapeños and bacon. He also had classic Riesling and Cabernet which we picked up. Cool designs on the bottles. I'll update once I try them out.

Melissa R.

Yelp
Josh was the best host! He was super knowledgeable and was a great time for my sister's bachelorette party! Deinitely recommend for any event! FIND JOSH!

Catherine J.

Yelp
Glenn was an amazing host! Very knowledgeable about each wine and about the local area. Wines were amazing. Left with 8 bottles! Would totally come back! Thanks Glenn! Rick and Kate

Laura H.

Yelp
Loved the dry wines, and the cherry wine was SO unique. Stuart gets five stars for being welcoming and an all around awesome host. He is a wealth of knowledge and a lot of fun.

Abby C.

Yelp
We went to Moab for our honeymoon and found this awesome little winery! Glenn was very knowledgeable and hospitable and we had a lovely time. The wine was also very tasted and we left with 2 bottles!! We recommend this hidden gym to any and every traveler!

Crystal G.

Yelp
My mom and I visited here first thing on our visit to Moab. We loved the scenery and the vineyard. I bought her a bottle of the Gewürztraminer, we did a tasting, I sent my drone over the vineyards and we chatted with other guests for quite a while

Cassidy H.

Yelp
The wine doesn't taste great. The service is interesting and the chairs are a match of regular stools and camping chairs.

Shay B.

Yelp
Very small boutique winery with a good Riesling! Russ was super friendly and knowledgeable about the wines. I wouldn't hesitate to stop by again if we're in the area and see what else they have come up with!

Taylor R.

Yelp
This place was amazing! Glenn is awesome, he has some pretty good stories. And the wine is so good. This is a must if you go to Moab!!!

Kimberly A.

Yelp
I just enjoyed a tasting at Spanish Valley Vineyard. The wines were good, but unfortunately they can't ship to other states. Russ was very nice and recommended some local favorites. My only recommendation would be to add more swag to their inventory. A Spanish Valley Vineyard sticker would look nice on my cooler :)

Michelle A.

Yelp
This was a wonderful stop, all wines delicious! Glenn was hospitable and knowledgeable.

Stephanie L.

Yelp
Loved this little place, the people and the wine! A girlfriend and I were in Moab to go hiking but when we saw that there were wineries in Moab, we cut one of our hiking days short to go visit them! This one was by far our favorite. The man who ran us through the wine tasting was very knowledgeable and answered all of my silly questions. He even gave us a tour of their production area. While this isn't your "upscale, pinkies out" kind of place, the small facility and staff made this my favorite winery in Moab.

Jennifer M.

Yelp
Glenn is a nice guy. Owns the vineyard and does all the work himself. Good selection of whites. Was pleased and took a couple of bottles to go. Pours are generous. Talk is friendly. Place is a teeny tiny whole in the wall behind a being constructed neighborhood.

Leigh C.

Yelp
Wine was great but was bummed we couldn't drink it on the patio. We loved the Riesling.

Paige F.

Yelp
The price for a tasting is a very reasonable $5 with pretty generous pours. The wine was dry and not super sweet (except for the dessert wine which was an unexpected delight). The tasting room is small and intimate, with our wine maker giving us lots of helpful and interesting information throughout the taste. It is definitely not the pomp of a Napa tasting room but if you want a taste of Utah this is your place. Also as a note, he talked about buying grapes from other states to supplement with their own to make wine and about a freeze a few years ago where they lost all their grapes. Apparently for a few years they needed to buy them to make their wines- which seems to be the cause of some of the other low ratings. Happily they are back to growing most of their own grapes again.

The W.

Yelp
We were wondering why this winery wasn't listed with the other winery north of Moab. Now we know why. We drove through a residential area to get there and stop in front of what looks like someone's house. A group of people are shooting astound a table eating and a man is working in the driveway with some winery equipment. No greeting from anyone (not counting the dog who met us at the car). We're wondering if we're in the right place. Then I see the small sign that says winery. Still no greeting from anyone, so I ask the guy working if they are open. He doesn't answer my question but just says that they are in the middle of harvesting grapes. So....we go inside the small trading room. There's a different man in there. He tells us that he's "too busy" to give us a tasting but he can sell us some wine (Um, wait. You're too busy to give us a tasting, but not to busy to sell us some wine?). Then he tells us that their Riesling and Gewürztraminer is very good and priced well. They may have good wine but now we'll never know. So we went north to that other winery and bought some wine. Really? Too busy to give us a tasting? But not too busy to sell us some without sampling it? Really?

Jennifer E.

Yelp
We enjoyed the stop. Worth our time. Small winery doing good work. We enjoyed the time and talking to the owner. He is a biker and shared some information of the area. He bought it a few years ago. He is re-labeling the wines. He has some fruit wine, cherry and apple. He has some sweet wines. He has some red wines. Tastings are free. He will let you taste whatever you want to try. We bought a few bottles to enjoy while in town. He also has a very cute wine dog. Happy we found it.

Sarah A.

Yelp
What an amazing experience! We had a tasting with Glenn. For only five dollars apiece, we were able to try six different wines. He even took us on a tour of where the wine is made. I highly recommend!

Jacqui W.

Yelp
I can't say enough about how fantastic this place is!! The wines were amazing, as was the scenery. Jared was a fantastic host who took the time to talk us through their wines (even when they were technically closed). The Riesling is particularly good, with the vines it comes from literally steps away! They're planning an expansion that sounds lovely, but this winery is already a gem that I'd absolutely recommend.

Rick B.

Yelp
Stopped in during our trip to Moab earlier this month, looking for some local flavor. The winery isn't quite like other wineries I've experienced. The owner was nice enough, and took us through his various offerings, which were overall decent. Hence the two stars. Here's why it was only two stars: The tasting room, and the barrels, are basically in this guy's garage. There is a small bar setup (that had ants crawling on it) set up in the corner, with a stereo playing some good classic rock. The wine that is fermenting, is in plastic barrels, which seemed odd. I live very close to Long Island wine country and have often visited the wineries for tastings here. The wineries here use wooden casks, or at the very least metal (copper, I think?) to store the wine. Finally, the owner, unsolicited, came out and told us the wine we were tasting was not from the vineyard! He had brought it in from a winery in California! So why wouldn't I just go to the liquor store and buy California wine then? Seems silly. We wanted to taste LOCAL wine, not rebottled California wine. There are other wineries in Moab that I would hope make their own wine. Try those. The experience here was underwhelming.

Elise H.

Yelp
We enjoyed our visit here during a trip to Moab. This is definitely not a swanky winery, and the tasting room is small, but the winemaker who took us through our tasting was very personable and knowledgable. We liked the riesling and late harvest riesling the best, which are estate-grown (some of those offered at the tasting are not). The wines are very affordable ($13-17/bottle). If you are looking for a Napa-like experience, this may not be for you, but for the down-to-earth casual wine drinker, it is a good stop.

Amanda T.

Yelp
Nice little winery, had a few samples of some ok wine, one absolutely delicious late harvest wine that we purchased a few bottles of. The man that helped us was knowledgeable though not very professional or helpful with what types of wine we might like. Very quaint and great to see a local business!

John H.

Yelp
First of all I'd like to say that the my experience here was very nice. The owners are very friendly and the facility is welcoming. The wines I tasted were great and nicely priced. Note: "Rick B" stated that the wine is California wine rebottled which is FALSE. There is however "one"wine that is bought in bulk from California that they bottle and sell. The vines surrounding the winery are not grown for looks. They grow a variety of grapes and make some tasty wine. And just because there is a garage door for moving product in and out does not make it a garage. And lastly the wine is made in stainless steel not plastic. The plastic barrels are storage for the freshly pressed grape juices prior to movement to the stainless for fermentation and aging. It just goes to show that some people can be overly critical and judgmental. My experience there was good and I will definitely return.

Keith F.

Yelp
Drove down from Salt Lake and stayed for the weekend. Awesome place to unwind! Gorgeous vineyard!

Teresa R.

Yelp
Very small somewhat dirty tasting room. Owner in dirty clothes and not very personable. Sat and waited while he washed out two glasses. It is $5 each for tasting. No sweets, only dry, he stated we won't find sweets in the West. None of his own wines, all from CA or CO. Bought a very small bottle for $12.45, like to support the locals but like most businesses in Moab, it is priced for tourists. Would not stop here again.

Elena F.

Yelp
This place was small but super cute with a very reasonable price for the tasting! We felt very welcome and were surprised by the unique flavors of the wine. Our server was also very kind to giving us background about the winery and even recommended us to go down to the other winery in Moab in an attempt to support the other wine businesses in town. We were sad to see later on that the other winery did not reciprocate the same kindness and was in fact very rude when Spanish Valley came into the conversation. Would highly recommend coming here instead of other options for much better tasting experience

Kandis N.

Yelp
Wish I could give less! Hours were stating open at noon. Arrived at 1:20 to open door to tasting room but no one around. Rang large bell numerous times, as instructions indicated. Waited 26 minutes !! No one ever showed up! Very poor business practice!
