Just back from Spatia. The place is beautifully designed, it feels minimalist, quiet luxury. The food was really good at the restaurant, and the breakfast was phenomenal, with a creative menu. Really enjoyed the bike rides from our villa to the main pool, whilst enjoying the pine smell.
Now the negative - we booked there to disconnect from busy and noisy London and were seeking absolute calm, the promise of the place. Right on arrival, it was terrible construction noise and vibration we could feel all over the villa, making the floor shake like it’s an earthquake. Despite us flagging our worries the night before whilst leaving the restaurant, the whole mess started again at 8am, ruining the calm experience. We left frustrated and tired. The bed was so nice, I wish I would have enjoy it till 10! Even if we received apologies and a small discount after complaining, this is not ok for the standing of the place, and therefore, I would not recommend to stay at Spatia as they don’t do any disclaimer about the possible nuisance. Some of the staff also lack training, it felt awkward at multiple times. Again, not the level expected for this type of place. The lady who hosted us for breakfast at Spatia Club did a great job and this should be highlighted.
