Our fishing tour with Pedro, Pablo and Lisandro was fantastic - we caught 6 mahi mahi, made ceviche with two of them on board and they filet the other 4 for us to bring home and cook ourselves. Very accommodating and kind - would definitely recommend them and Spearmex in Punta de Mita!

Went out with Sebastian and Capt today. Conditions were murky but they did the best they could to find the best spots. Sebastian did his best and made sure when we were in the water to give direction and give us the best experience. Thank you for your experience today.

If visiting Punta de Mira area and want to fish I would recommend Spearmex. They filleted some of our catch. We had Restaurante El Coral prepare a feast. 10 of us in 2 boats. Had a great trip.

What a fantastic experience! I originally booked a spear fishing trip, but unfortunately the conditions were not favorable for us to have a successful spear fishing experience. Instead, Javier, Eduardo and Gonzo pivoted and we had the best day seeing whales, dolphins and catching tons of fish! They were a knowledgeable and fun crew and made incredible margaritas, ceviche and sashimi. We will be back for spear fishing some day!

TLDR: Great time, great guys, know how to swim and be in good physical shape Had one of the most exciting times with these guys. It’s small organization run by 5-6 guys who are all super passionate about what they’re doing. The fishing itself was super fun, just as we dove in the water a MASSVIE humpback surfaced 10’ from us. It was INSANE!!!!! At the end of the day i ended up with 3 small fish (none were of the eating type) and a few of the other dudes got some and we made fish tacos. Things that were not so good- the water was super hazy and it made it hard to see the fish, but to be fair this is something the team cant control and they did their best to find more clear water. Things to know- you need to be A SUPER GOOD SWIMMER. Close to life time surfer, Free diver, or military SOF. You’re on your own as far as safety and you better know how to swim. This isnt a guided tour for some fat gringos this is the real deal and you better have water skills to know how to deal. I cant wait to meet up with these guys again and see if we could go to some deeper water for some bigger fish!!!! Ill post pics once they are sent to me.

Incredible place. Great instructors and captain! You can’t beat catching a fish and having it made into ceviche right on the boat.

Unprofessional Service and Poor Experience Spearmex unfortunately has gone drastically downhill with their level of service and commitment to guest satisfaction, safety and professionalism. Clients chartered a fishing trip with this company and there were several instances that made the group uncomfortable (interactions with one of the female guests and mention of illicit substances). The owners, Ymell and Sebastian, were made of aware of the situation. They have dismissed the client's concerns and refuse to return or follow up with any phone calls or emails. Would not recommend working with Spearmex.

Went out today with a friend and Pedro and Alejandro - my arms are gassed from all the fish! They took great care of us. Landed six big dorado and a handful of dogtooths. Fresh ceviche on the ride back in, and fish tacos for dinner tonight at the Four Seasons! I could get used to this.
