Old complex and it shows. Poor directions, no map. Stayed in unit L815, owner just turned on fridge and freezer as both were warm on arrival, no ice. Broken crisper in fridge, stained linens. Also the type of place with a 4 page document outlining every piece of equipment in the premises and how you will be charged if it’s not there (but also if you don’t check and notify them that things are missing prior 🙄). Pablo might benefit from a class in hosting. Poor basic amenities. Would recommend elsewhere given the price point of this and overcharge from VRBO.

Kenny's team over the years has done an incredible job with guests, maintenance, and communication with us. Special Places' diligence and devotion showed when we did sell, as the property was in better condition than when we bought it. If you're in need of a property manager in the Del Coco area, this is the team you should turn to. We did, and we were so very glad we did!

Very nice condos. Information on the area for Resturants, Groceries, beaches and much more are provided to you by way of an app to your phone and at your fingertips!!! Easy check in. Well organized!!!

The condo was excellent and the location was exactly what we were looking for. Walking distance to many ammenities. We would go back in a heartbeat.

Coco Joya #11 needs some updating and upgrading. It was advertised with a king size bed, but it was a queen. The wood dining table and chairs on the porch need refinishing. The cushions are threadbare and torn. There is also a wicker settee that has holes in the arm rests. The stove needs to be replaced as well as the refrigerator. There is aluminum foil on the drip pans on the stove and the oven door handle is about to fall off. Both are very old and worn. There are lots of wine glasses, but no sharp cooking knives, no Tupperware or other storage containers. There was no working clock in the entire unit. The clocks on the stove and microwave didn’t work. Kevin put a new battery in the wall clock on the porch, but it stopped working. There was a plug in alarm clock in the bedside drawer, but it also didn’t work. There was a bedside table lamp in the second bedroom that had black electrical tape holding the lampshade on. The entire unit is dimly lit especially by the kitchen sink and in the bathrooms. There is also a lot of noise from barking dogs and construction of a new development below. Not a good value for the money spent. Yes, Kevin did everything possible regarding the problems in this unit. I couldn’t find where to leave a review specifically for this property. Please pass my comments on to the owner.

Thank you Special places of Costa Rica for a wonderful vacation. We booked a last-minute trip to Hacienda Casa Amarilla in Playa Flamingo for the end of March and Phem at Special Places helped us with all of our planning. The house was terrific as was the services they provided or those they suggested we use. We would have given a five star rating except for two reasons. Even though the office was closed on Saturday afternoon, we were told someone would meet us at their office to provide us with keys and to get us to the house. No one was there and it took a while to reach someone and that was a bit uncomfortable arriving in a new country for the first time. A bigger issue was that the house next door to us, which was also managed by Special Places, was going through extensive exterior renovations. The work went on well into the night on Saturday and during the week the work was quite noisy and at times the odors which emanated from the construction were quite noxious. Special places did help reduce the noise and kept the construction to normal hours, but they should have told us before booking this was going to happening. They knew about the work but chose not to disclose. To make matters worse, the house on the other side which also was managed by Special Places also began exterior construction later in the week. On the positive side, those two houses were unoccupied so we had the "compound" to ourselves and the house was amazing. So too was the staff who tended to the house. My only wish was that we were told in advance about the situation before booking.

Our experience renting a condo in Playas Del Coco was very good. It was a very nice, clean, newer unit in a luxury community. Overall, we were quite happy with all aspects of our stay and would book through them again.

I booked 2 Condos in PACIFICO back in Jan/ Feb, 2020, and then COVID hit, I have been trying since then to cancel and get my money back with NO response. I got my money back for 1 Condo as they no longer manage it ( but it took 1 year ) to get my money back ,as of today , no money return or ANY response to my emails, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO BOOK THROUGH.. they told me that they would put the Condo back up to rent and they never did , terrible terrible owners,, no response what’s so ever.
