GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK!
Since September 30th, I've been waiting for a refund of $125 that was incorrectly charged to my debit card!
1) On September 30th, I needed to return my rental car, a Ford Escape, to one of the car rental agencies next to this station.
2) I inserted my card and PIN into the fuel pump, but no fuel came out; a message told me to put it back in the car's nozzle. Even after putting it back in the car's nozzle, the fuel didn't come out. Afterward, a message appeared telling me to speak to the cashier.
3) My wife went into the store to report what had happened, stating that no fuel was coming from the pump to the car. Meanwhile, I accessed my card's bank account and, to my surprise, found that Speedway had debited $125 from my card!
4) I went to the store, and my wife was talking to a Speedway employee. This man, like us, is Brazilian. 6) I reported that the gas wasn't put in the car, and I was still charged $125.
5) I requested a refund of the erroneously charged amount. They said there was nothing they could do because the money was in the bank and they couldn't refund it because it wasn't with Speedway.
6) I called my bank, and the employee informed me that Speedway's procedure was completely flawed. They could only have pre-approved the amount, and the debit could only occur after the gas was put in the car.
7) I informed the Speedway employee
my bank had explained, and they told me they wouldn't refund the amount and that the money would automatically return to my account in a few days.
8) I still needed to fill up half the tank to return the rental car. We reserved pump number 6 and paid $30 in cash inside Speedway. However, with $20, the tank was already full. We received $10 in change.
9) Today is October 13th, almost 15 days later, and I haven't received anything back yet. I demand the immediate return of my $125!
