I take my mom there every May for Mothers day. The food is great, the waiters make you feel like a celebrity and the outdoor dining and latio area is my all time favorite. The waiter took a picture of mom and I and was very pleasant. We love the lunch special where you can get everything for $ 31.00 please continue that. As long as that place remains open which is i hope forever, we will be loyal customers.

We came here while on vacation to celebrate my birthday with a nice meal. We were not disappointed! We had to wait a bit for our table with a reservation for two, but not excessively. The dining area is gorgeous with an inside/outside feel and lots of beautiful plants. It was very busy, but our server was attentive and professional. And the food was amazing. My pork chop entree was delicious and I really enjoyed the tuna tartare appetizer! We will return.

Enjoyed the atmosphere of this iconic restaurant. Our server Serge was great. Food was good, as we went relatively light. Crab cakes, shrimp, and calamari were great as were the cooked oysters. A little disappointed with their bourbon selection as they were out of several brands we like. Patio is the way to go.

Heavenly garden atmosphere, superb and gracious service and consistent contemporary American cuisine with an international flair. The Business lunch at $30 is worth the drive.

Google
We have been to this amazing restaurant at the base of the mountains near downtown Palm Springs several times for lunch or dinner. We enjoy the ambiance of the outdoor seating areas. Service is usually very good. The fried oysters were amazing! We also really enjoyed the salmon entree and the mushroom risotto. They have a great wine selection, but you can BYOB for a $30 corkage fee. It’s a little hard to get reservations here, because it is hugely popular! So, plan well in advance and make your reservations online as soon as you can. The only thing that keeps us from returning here more often is the prices, but their prices are about the same as other similar restaurants downtown.

Classic Palm Springs spot will always be in the rotation. Took my dad back and enjoyed the stories and history of this place. Service was exceptional.

I love Spencer's. The service is always excellent, the food is always excellent. The atmosphere is classy, yet casual. A little loud, but that's because everyone is enjoying themselves. I had the liver and bacon this time. It comes with creamy mashed potatoes, asparagus, grilled onions, and course fresh cooked bacon. You can tell the liver is a quality product. It was so tender, perfectly cooked. Had a Calamari appetizer but forgot to take a photo. It was also excellent.

Google
Desert Dweller here into the food scene and friends treated me to birthday brunch here today! Fabulous! Spencer’s has a reputation for a tasty Benedict (smoked salmon, crab cakes options) and I had the pleasure of discovering crab cakes Benedict. Rosemary nightshades were fabs and Benny Lived up to the local hype!

Yelp
This is a Palm Springs classic that never fails to impress. Beautiful location, lovely patio, terrific ambiance and customer service. And the wine list is thoughtful and outstanding without being overwhelming. The summer menu has all the bases covered with chilled soups, lovely salads, plenty of seafood options and of course steak, and lobster tails. The waitstaff is attentive and friendly, able to provide helpful suggestions and special requests. Really top notch performance. The kitchen turns out beautiful plates that make dining a true pleasure, and a memorable experience for their guests. The people watching is great fun, the grounds are a perfect backdrop for a glamorous scene. Daytime is also interesting as the patio is dog friendly and the action is quite entertaining. So this is not a casual burger joint but rather a venue for a special occasion where you go to feel rewarded for being alive! Fun, delicious and noteworthy. It may cost a bit more, but really, aren't you worth it?

Yelp
Wow! Hidden gem! I've been visiting Palm Springs for years and never visited this restaurant. Were we AMAZED!!! To start off, the setting is gorgeous. We had a reservation for 6 pm and decided to sit outside under the trees & lights. Magical setting! And i couldn't believe that by 6:30 almost every table was taken. Seemed like a lot of regulars. We started off w a Caesar salad for $15 and asked to have it split 3 ways. The waiter brought back 3 salads but charged an additional $3 for each extra salad. the portions were big though so perhaps there was just a miscommunication. In any case the salad is made w little anchovies on top - as it should be!!! Absolutely delicious! The meals themselves were also wonderful. My braised ribs were sublime and the mashed potatoes were- chefs kiss ! My friend thought the pork chop was a bit dry - the waiter assured us it wouldn't be dry, but alas it was just a bit. My other friend got the whitefish and completely fell in love w her meal. I absolutely will return percent. I might do the braised ribs again or perhaps try something else outstanding! Well done, Spencer's! I'm glad we found this hidden gem tucked into the mountain !

Yelp
What a beautiful place to dine! This was my first time here but a regular for my 2 friends I'm visiting here in PS. All three of us greatly enjoyed our food (Sole, Pork Chops, and Meatloaf - yes, they have it and I would definitely have this great tasting comfort food again). We tried the tiramisu but it wasn't the best or something I'd order again (we've had better). Service was somewhat a change it seems tonight. The server seemed distracted or forgetful that he had our table ;maybe he was over tabled or had something going on), but multiple times food was brought to our table that wasn't ours - so many times when the table next to us jokingly asked if they were just randomly bringing foods to see if we wanted them. One of my friends said of all the times they go (evidently they go often) they've never had that happen. It may have just been an off night. But the food alone (other than dessert) is certainly great quality and will definitely be eating there again.

Yelp
The food was absolutely amazing! The restaurant is off of a historic tennis club in Palm Springs. I visited on a trip looking for a place to dress up. The dimly-lit, romantic feel of the place is a perfect date night, for a special occasions, or any sort of celebration. The wait staff were impressive, they knew their dishes well and provided great wine and meal recommendations depending on my preferences. I ordered a glass of Cab and the Crisp White fish. The fish was buttery but also lemony, the corn potatoes and broccolini paired so well as savory with a hint of sweet.

Yelp
Casual fine dining in a posh space in Palm Springs. This place is an established restaurant in Palm Springs in the Historic Tennis Club region of the city. One can find luxury cars outside the valet of the restaurant so expect the meal to be on the more elevated side. Food (4.25/5) This restaurant reminds me of a restaurant back in San Francisco called Hillstone because of the classic American menu items served in an elevated restaurant space. Expect steaks, cooked seafood, and pork chops to be the main focus for the entrees; however, the menu is extensive so even more classic items like meatloaf are available. The restaurant also offers a prix fixe menu for lunch and dinner and a special Sunday brunch menu. My orders depends on how hungry I am as the portion size is on the larger side. The dinner prix fixe menu for $60 offers a choice of an appetizer, entree (with an option to upgrade to a NY steak), and dessert. This restaurant does a great job cooking steak and can actually serve the meat medium rare instead of completely rare like others have done in the area. I'd suggest skipping the appetizers as they are big enough to be considered an entree and go for a salad instead. Save room for dessert because this place has numerous options to satisfy any sweet tooth. My usual order is the tiramisu but I've also enjoyed sorbet trio in the past. Service (4.25/5) This restaurant is very large with extensive indoor and outdoor dining spaces. On Sundays, be prepared to book a reservation right at the opening time slot if you want to sit outside as the outdoor patio is popular on the weekends. The service can vary depending on how busy the restaurant is, but the waiters are always courteous and friendly. Multiple water refills throughout the meal make for a pleasant experience as well. Ambiance (5/5) One of the best restaurant spaces in Palm Springs because of its location in the historic tennis club. If you sit in the indoor patio, you can watch tennis being played on the court next to the restaurant. The white table cloth setting along with a dark and moody interior of the restaurant sets the tone for the meal. The only drawback is that the bar is on the smaller side with no bar seating available.

Yelp
Great atmosphere and the food is very good. Service is great. Nice menu selection. Definitely recommend sitting outside in the patio.

Yelp
Spencer's is always a bit tricky to find, but if you head for the canyon wall, you'll do fine. We wandered a bit, then spied an apartment building we use as a landmark, and were able to park on the long street leading into the club where Spencer's is located. The service was extremely welcoming, and they called me by name, as I have been here a couple of times before. We chose to eat outside and were lead to a lovely table at the top of the garden, as the outdoor area has been expanded. Our friendly and gracious server appeared at once, and brought us water and bread and butter. We checked out the menu, and once again the "Business Man's Lunch" special appealed to us, particularly because it offers either surf or turf and is guaranteed to be served in under an hour. I chose the shrimp curry and my honey got the beef ribs, which came with a Caesar salad and onion rings. The first course for both of us was mushroom soup. We sat, taking in the cool breezes while the creamy soup arrived. It was almost a meal in itself, redolent with the earthy umami of mushrooms. The entrees appeared soon after, and we admired the large portions. My curry was mild and sweet, each bite a revelation of flavor. My husband's beef ribs were tender and meaty, the onion rings perky. I got his salad, and ate that as my dessert. But the meal was not over and two lovely slices of red velvet cake appeared next. We contemplated the next item on our agenda, a trip to the Palm Springs Art Museum, which is nearby, as we took in the mellow ambience of Spencer's!

Yelp
Interesting place at the base of the mountain in downtown Palm Springs. We couldn't see how spectacular the mountain looked, since it was way after sunset. We will have to return! Our four top each did the $60 fix-prix menu, which I think they have every night. Each item from app to desert was really great. Margie was our server. She was 5*

Yelp
We had a fabulous "power lunch" under the trees on their shaded patio. It was the most upscale dining during our visit to Palm Springs and we were happy to make the splurge. Service was fantastic and I enjoyed the Prix Fixe Lunch option (three courses with coffee). There were two options for the first two courses, plus the daily dessert which was a berry cheesecake. Also, excellent coffee, and rather than providing just a cup, they left a full pot on the table so I could refill at my leisure. We were joined by several dogs at nearby tables and they have a really cute (and reasonable) Doggie Etiquette policy. They offer valet parking (current rate is $3), but we had no trouble finding street parking in the neighborhood.

Yelp
Came for Sunday brunch over the Memorial Day weekend. Drove towards the mountains into a stunning indoor/outdoor space that really does evoke classic Palm Springs. We were seated outside and they really do have a lovely cross breeze going so it was very comfortable. Actually felt the brunch menu was whatever so ordered off the main menu. My boyfriend and I shared the chopped salad , which was very tasty ( I thought it was as good as La Scala's). Boyfriend had the lobster omelet and I had the lobster club (the menu is very lobster forward - and why not). Both were solid choices and the hollandaise that came with the omelette was so good that I asked for some to dip my sandwich and fries into. Solid portions but felt a little too expensive for what it was. Service was solid as well although I did observe some people getting restless. Crowd skews a little older. So why not five stars? We did get a dirty plate at one point so that was off putting. Not sure if this makes our regular Palm Springs rotation but I would say just for the classic vibes and setting right up against the mountains - Spencer's should be visited at least once.

Yelp
This place never disappoints. Everything is top notch. Food, service and especially Ambiance. They have thought of everything. Everytime we are out here I look forward to eating here. They even give you extra coffee on the table.

Yelp
Food: Eggs Benedict topped with homemade hollandaise sauce, roasted fingerling potatoes, a thick slice of ham Service: great, timely and friendly service Design: it's all about the outdoor dining under the trees Overall: if you want good American food in a nice setting, then stop on by this place

Yelp
One of the finest restaurants in Palm Springs with a picturesque setting. Went during Restaurant Week with friends and had the Sonoma Duck Breast with Kung Pao Calimari and the Smores dessert. My friends had the steak, Caesar salad and coconut sorbet. Everything was excellent.

Yelp
We have eaten at Spencer's a few times in our dozens of times staying at Palm Sorings Tennis Club. Most the time, we either make our own food or explore new places. But we came on Saturday for brunch with 6 of us, and it was really good. I had the huevos rancheros which were very tasty, with a big bowl of refried beans on the side. My hubby loved his corn beef hash w/ poached eggs and hash browns, and the croissant breakfast sandwich looked delicious, too. The outside area closest to the pool with the big tree in the middle is probably the prettiest, but we were in the room next to it, and could watch the people playing tennis, which was fun. Definitely recommend, and will return!

Yelp
We go here anytime we have opportunity. Our Anniversary was certainly a great excuse to dine here again. Service was great and, as always, food was awesome. Calm and relaxed atmosphere adds for a romantic setting. Thank you!

Yelp
Given the reviews I was expecting better. Setting is beautiful, sit on the patio if weather permits. Food was underwhelming, although the portions are huge. They charge a plate splitting fee, so they know. Service is friendly enough, although it feels a little like a money trap.

Yelp
I was so excited to finally try Spencer's, and it definitely delivered! The approach to the restaurant with the spectacular mountain backdrop immediately sets a wonderful tone. The classy, elegant, and romantic vibe makes it an ideal place for a date night. We were seated outside, which was beautiful, but it was still close to 100 degrees even at 7 PM. They really need more fans like seriously, three giant fans just weren't enough! It was too hot for a cocktail, so I opted for a wonderfully refreshing Sauvignon Blanc instead. For starters, we had the Baby Spinach and Frisee Salad. Every element of this salad was perfect, especially the hearts of palm, which paired beautifully with the caramelized citrus vinaigrette. My boyfriend ordered the Sonoma Breast of Duck and was thoroughly impressed. I went with the Crisp Skin White Fish, and I absolutely enjoyed it the skin was perfectly fried and incredibly flavorful. Unfortunately, I was still so full that I only managed a couple of bites before I had to take it to go. I fully expected it to be less delicious the next day, but to my surprise, it held up perfectly and was just as tasty! So glad it didn't go to waste. The service was excellent, and I highly recommend Spencer's! It's a solid 10/10.

Yelp
*** Vegetarian Review *** *** Breakfast *** We spent a week in Palm Springs which means 7 breakfasts! And since French toast is my go to, I had a personal 7-day French toast challenge. Would I come back? Yes. It is definitely worth it. Tips for first timers: 1. Reservations are recommended. 2. They have a dress code - not suit and tie, but flip flops are a no no. I'd say show up in "resort casual" and you'll feel comfortable sitting amongst others that are coat and tie-ing it. 3. Parking can be found on the street and it's not metered. 4. Take some time to walk the restaurant grounds. You can get a Birds Eye view of the tennis courts. The end result, Spencer's came out on top. Just look at the photo and it will make you want to book a quick flight to Palm Springs just for this sweet and savory delight. For this review, I won't provide a top 7 lists for the area. But I will provide the next best, which was The Farm. I might revisit this and provide the worst of the experiment, but I'm feeling too happy from eating this to go down that road for now. Banana Stuffed French Toast (Grade A) - if you eat with your eyes, get ready to be fully satisfied. It's presented beautifully with a generous amount of raspberries, strawberries, and of course bananas. I didn't ask if the bread is house made, but I will tell you it makes the perfect French toast. Thick enough to carry the sweetness of the dish and has a nice chewiness to it. Not overly egg-ey and the warm syrup is the perfect touch.

Yelp
The food and service at Spencer's were great! We had an appetizer with caviar which was a first for me and it tasted nothing like I'd expected. Sooo good!

Yelp
I went here for my two year anniversary celebration with my partner. They had a nice surprise for us with a little flyer. The host is saddest right away because we had a reservation and the restaurant felt very fancy. We got the set course meal, which was $60, which was very reasonable. It included a starter, main, and a dessert. The starter we got was the carrot ginger soup that was super refreshing and light. Then we got the entree which was a salmon Caesar salad for myself and the short ribs for my boyfriend. The Caesar salad was not too overdressed, and the salmon was perfectly cooked. The short ribs were also very tender. For dessert, we got the trio sorbet taster, which was super yummy and had different flavors like mango lemon and raspberry. They also gave us a free ice cream, dessert for our anniversary. Overall, a great experience.

Michael R.

Yelp
Let's break down this awful experience: 1. This restaurant was SWELTERINGLY HOT while we dined there. No fans were outside!!!!!!!! I was truly concerned for my wellbeing as I felt myself getting overheated. It just isn't right. Provide some misting fans for your clientele! Or just a fan period! 2. Flies were swarming around our table constantly and we spotted bees not too far away. Leaves and tree debris were falling on our table and into our food. 3. The table had a list of pet etiquette for people to follow but there wasn't "people etiquette" on this list. Some lady came from behind my dog and scared her so she started barking. This is not an appropriate approach with animals and you should spell this out instead of being so concerned about the pet's behavior. 4. Train your host staff on how to sit people. I had my dog stroller and they were going to wedge us into a crowded area with people inside the outside area when there were clearly open and visible spots to sit. I will never come back here again. Ever.

Yelp
This was hands down the best dining out experience I've had in all my years thus far in the desert! It was a most delightful voyage of the senses, the atmosphere and service are unmatched in perfection, and every course took my date and I on a journey of flavors, textures and colors! The food was cooked/served to perfection as well! The gorgeous location by the San Jacinto mountains in Palm Springs makes it such a scenic splendor for the eyes too! I just don't have enough wonderful things to say about our experience there this past weekend. Our sever was an absolute darling and totally added to the whole experience! This is officially now my favorite restaurant and I can't wait for the next special occasion to return and celebrate!

Yelp
Tucked into the mountainside, with a flourish of palm trees gracing the front, the valet from Spencer's Restaurant took the keys to the Lincoln Continental and passed me a bright blue ticket as I wandered in. I took off my sunglasses and adjusted my eyes to the desert sun as I crossed the entryway to this classic spot that feels reminiscent of a bygone era. There is soft lighting, alcoves of tucked away tables, and a gorgeous patio replete with lanterns, inlaid trees, and fresh flowers. The air was slightly dry, and glints of the sun sparkled off guests glasses as we took our seats. The service was impeccable and the food was above par. The sound of tennis players rushing across the courts was faintly heard in the background, as our glasses of Sancerre clinked. I ordered the Business Lunch Menu which included a Spencer's House Salad, the "From Today's Net" (Salmon and Mashed Potatoes), and Spencer's "Dessert of the Day" (cheesecake). The presentation for each element served was fantastic, everything coalesced to make this dining experience one for the record books, at this a great location in this upscale paradise.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I had the pleasure of dining at Spencer's for her birthday dinner and had the most wonderful time. I made us reservations for Saturday around 8 pm. The location was interesting - tucked away in more of a residential area. We were able to walk since our hotel was so close but they had valet service available for $3. We were greeted by the hostess who showed us to our table. The restaurant was big, and had a lovely ambiance. We were seated right by the window so we had a nice view of the tennis courts. We were greeted by our waiter who was wonderful the entire evening (I forgot his name.) They brought us a special "Happy Birthday" menu which I thought was so cute. I ordered an Aperol spritz and my girlfriend ordered a cucumber cocktail. My spritz was good, but not the best I've ever had. Unfortunately, my girlfriend did not like her drink, not because it was bad but just a flavor preference, and our waiter was kind enough to exchange it for a glass of wine. For our meal, we started with the coconut shrimp which was delicious. For my entree, I ordered off the specials menu - Miso Cod. My girlfriend had the grilled salmon. Both of our entrees were delicious! However, I do wish the side dish for my meal was something else because I didn't care for the carrot puree that came with it. Our meal ended with our waiter bringing out a scoop of ice cream with a candle for my girlfriend. We were too stuffed to order dessert but the options looked delicious from what we saw. Overall, if you are looking for a meal with exceptional service and good quality food, I would highly recommend Spencer's.

Yelp
If I were just rating the service, I'd give them 5/5 stars! The folks here were so patient and helpful. They were all seriously the sweetest people ever. It was my mom's birthday and they brought her out some ice cream, a candle, and a lovely note to thank her for celebrating her birthday with them. Food-wise: the crab cakes and ahi tuna were to die for. Most of us ordered the Business Meal which is honestly a phenomenal deal. Highly recommend it. You get a salad or soup, a main, dessert, and coffee. The salad and fries were also amazing!! Great value and great service. I recommend stopping by here if you're in the area. Valet parking was $3 at the time of our visit.

Yelp
My wife and I went to Spencer's Sunday night. Restaurant was beautiful. Was about 75% empty since it's off-season. I had the soft shell crab special with garlic, truffle oil, and toast tips and it was absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, my liver onions were overcooked as was my wife's pork chop. (Honestly, if you're a liver onions, guy or gal, Wally's is the best in the desert.) So the entrées were a little bit disappointing. The drinks were on point and the desserts were delicious. I had the chocolate Molten lava cake and my wife had the vanilla crème brûlée.

Yelp
I love the patio at this restaurant and the service. I've gone three times. First time, in the dead of summer, we had to sit inside and it was kind of depressing. Restaurant has been around a very long time. It's in the old tennis district of Palm Springs near the mid century houses and other older very cool 1950s Palm Springs hotels.Valet is only three dollars, worth it! I suggest going for lunch or brunch especially on a Sunday because they have tons of options all within $20-$30 range. You're not stuck with their brunch menu and I am obsessed with their Cobb salad. I took my mom there for her birthday and we shared it. They divided it beautifully -five dollar charge, worth it! They have really good bread also and gave us a free dessert and the patio is serene with lots of beautiful trees. I come back for special occasions! They did a nice little happy birthday flyer for her at the everyone said happy birthday to my mom as we entered. I wrote that on OpenTable there was a birthday. Highly recommend, very rare to have this kind of customer service.

Yelp
Our visit here was unimpressive and I would not return. We had a reservation at 6:30 p.m. After being told to wait just a moment, several other parties of the same size came in and were seated before us. We went to the hostess again asking what was the situation as we were the only one left in the lobby and she said, let me see what I can do and she sat us at 6:50 p.m. What is the point of a reservation if they can not accommodate it. The worst part of the meal was the service. Our waiter was short and inattentive. We waited a long time before being acknowledged and once we were each portion of the meal became slower and slower. At one point I had asked for more bread and he half laughed as if it was putting him out of his way to get it for us. At the end of the meal, he didn't offer coffee or drinks and had the bus boy give us the menu for dessert. I would have spent more with drinks and sides, but the demeanor of the waiter was so awful, I just wanted to get this meal over with and leave. On a positive note, the food was good. I had the pork chop that was done nicely and had a tasty chutney over the top. The atmosphere was nice but quite loud. You'll be walking out paying about $100 per person so I expected a lot more from this restaurant. As I mentioned, I wouldn't return here or recommend anyone to go here.

Yelp
We've been loyal regulars at Spencer's for years. It's always been our go to spot for celebrations, date nights, and everything in between. So it truly breaks my heart to say that our last two visits have been a huge disappointment, enough so that we've decided to take a break from coming back. First, the service has changed drastically. It used to feel warm, welcoming, and personal like you were being taken care of by people who truly enjoyed being there and was a place that felt like community. Lately, the vibe has been the exact opposite. The staff seems rushed, disengaged, and like they just want to turn the table as fast as possible. The friendliness and charm that made Spencer's special just isn't there anymore. Then there's the food. On our last visit, I ordered the filet something that should be a highlight at a high end place like this and it was a mess. I had to send it back twice because it was nowhere near medium rare. First it was absolutely rare and the next burnt to charcoal well done. By the third time, I had lost my appetite and honestly, my patience. I was just so disappointed and felt so awkward at this point I was ready to leave. For the price point, it's just unacceptable. The only thing that was good was the wine and cocktails. I never thought I'd be saying this, but we won't be back for a while. I hope Spencer's finds its way back to the quality and hospitality that made it such a beloved spot for us and so many others.

Yelp
Attention brunch lovers! I have found the trifecta of food, service, and ambience in Palm Springs! My husband and I have been in food service for years and hence are very picky about everything. This is the first place we have been to in Palm Springs that exceeded our expectations. The restaurant is tucked up against the mountains, next to the tennis courts and was at one point known as the Tennis Club rather than Spencer's so a lot of athletic wear on the patrons. It has several different areas but we had a dog so we went straight through the entrance and into a wonderful courtyard with very large old trees, surrounded by walls with big open windows and no roof. It's shady, tropical, convivial, and stylish with cloth covered tables and cloth napkins. Soon after we were seated, we were asked about our drink order, which came quickly, with a basket of warm bread rolls and butter, and a bowl of ice water for the dog Anything we needed was brought quickly to the table. Our server Michelle was excellent and very attentive to all of her guests, making sure that they each had what they wanted. The menu is 2 different types for brunch: 1 a la carte which has a wide variety of dishes and the second is a fixed prix menu for $42 with soup or salad, multiple entrees to choose from, dessert, and a glass of champagne or a mimosa. My mom had the fried oysters with gribiche, my husband had the traditional Benedict with the Canadian bacon, and I had a crab cake Benedict. Normally the Benedict comes with roasted fingerling potatoes, which I had, or a bowl of fresh fruit like my husband had, or I also saw a salad. Our dog got a choice between a ground turkey burger, or a beef burger with no seasoning. Everything was cooked perfectly from the poached eggs to the hollandais to the fried oysters (which I got to try !) First time that we have had a perfect hollandais that we didn't have to doctor or hadn't made ourselves. Bravo!!! Everything is freshly made, in house, including the oj. Service is fantastic! Highly recommend !!! We will be back soon !

I would give this place a 4.5 but will round up since overall the vibes and food were great. Only complaint was that the ribeye I asked to be cooked medium rare came out medium and a little more chewy than I preferred. Food tasted great none the less and I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful restaurant to celebrate my friend's birthday. Valet is $3, which is convenient and affordable. Servers were great and they have lots of different food options! Overall would totally come back again!

Yelp
Placed looked amazing. But my wife and I were sat down and waited 40 mins for what we wanted to drink and what were the specials. Asked for a manager was told it was busy and was nothing they can do. Walked away as we were leaving asked if we would like to sit somewhere else. Never have I experienced this type of experience at an establishment. For a 1st time experience was not the greatest and will not waist my time. Q

Yelp
We celebrated my birthday here. Overall, great experience. The food was excellent across the board and we felt the prices were reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. The menu is a bit limited if you don't eat dairy as a lot of items include heavy cream. But the chef was accommodating and even offered to sub the puttanesca sauce for the sauce one of the fish dishes was supposed to come with. The atmosphere is nice. It's energetic but still upscale and ideal for a business dinner or date. There is valet for $3 which was convenient. Definitely make a reservation. On Saturday night it was packed.

Yelp
Came here for dinner and was stoked on the prix fixe menu. Plenty food and solid value for what you get. We got seated outside on the patio, and brah... it was beautiful. Perfect weather, lights in the trees, mountains in the back--real nice setting. Portion size was no joke too. Left full and happy, which is always the goal. Not one of those fancy spots where you leave hungry, yeah? Already making plans to come back for brunch, excited to see what they serve. Only thing I'd say is the fountain in the front could use some love. Kinda looks like they just put it there last minute. But other than that, everything else was real clean.

Yelp
This is such a lovely setting, and nice to have heaters that did their job! Our food was wonderful! I had Scotch Egg Benedict, with scotch salmon, not scotch egg! Nicely poached and great flavor, with a bountiful side of fresh fruit. Yummy English muffins. Husband had the Corned Beef Hash, which i will have next time, because it was the perfect combo of small diced corned beef and potatoes crisped beautifully. All eggs poached nicely. Good coffee and cappuccino. The four stars is because our waiter was uninterested in us after taking our order, and we had to go find him after waiting for our check. Great to have valet parking.

Yelp
First time here and it was good. Looks like the local weekend hangout for Sunday brunch. Drinks were good and food was great. Service was a little slow at the bar. Only one bartender. Service was good in the dining room. Would go back.

Yelp
WOW! This was my first time visiting Spencer's and I'm so glad I picked it! We came here for my boyfriend's birthday and it was such a great find. I made reservations for 2 people and chose the indoor seating. Once we arrived and I saw the outdoor seating I regretted my decision. The outdoor patio was super cute! Next time I will definitely sit outside. We used their valet parking which was very fast once we finished our dinner. The menu has a good variety of options and we decided on the Spencer's hot appetizer sampler, pan fried Norwegian salmon, sonoma breast of duck, and finished off with the creme' brûlée. The appetizer sampler was a great choice since we got to try to crab cakes, calamari, and coconut shrimp! My favorite of the three was the coconut shrimp but they were all delicious! The crab cakes came on a lemon caper sauce that was the perfect mix if creamy and tangy! The coconut shrimp was crispy and had the subtle coconut flavor and was so tasty. As for the calamari it had great crisp and the sauce was a nice add on. The salmon was cooked to perfection for me, a crispy skin but still tender! My boyfriend's duck was actually SO good. It was extremely soft and tender and literally melted in your mouth. I would 100% recommend visiting Spencer's if you are in the area! A great place to celebrate an occasion or just want to have a nice dinner.

Yelp
The French bartender was rude and didn't know how to take an order. The management refused to fix the bill and they're overpriced. Their food is terrible. Their prices are too high "they're an insulting bunch of pompous people".Save your money and go someplace else.

Yelp
If you are looking for an amazing atmosphere, wonderful food and exceptional staff, Spencer's is a must visit when in Palm Springs. This is our 3rd trip to Palm Springs and our 3rd visit to Spencer's. The food is delicious. This trip we ordered the Rib eye, meatloaf, and Rigatoni, all three were amazing. The steak was cooked to perfection and the meatloaf with its thick mushroom sauce was delicious. For dessert we shared the banana pudding and the chocolate chip cookies, both of which were much better than expected. Thank you, Spencer's, we'll see you next year!

Yelp
My daughter and I had a nice dinner. We went during restaurant week and we each had the prix fixe menu. She had the burrata salad, short ribs and carrot cake. I had the carpaccio, bass, and pot de crème. It was all Amazing!! Great atmosphere too!

Yelp
Food was delicious as usual. We've been here a handful of times now and we've never been disappointed. If given the option, sit outside. Even at night the twinkly trees and lights hitting the mountain make your dining experience extra special.

Yelp
Highly recommend Spencers restaurant. My wife our dog Ali and I had a wonderful time at the outside patio for dinner service. The ambiance was top notch due to the spacious patio which is beautifully set amongst a large trees and hedges. Rich, our waiter who was assisted by a team bringing food and topping off water was very nice and although busy as one would expect on a Sunday evening took time to chat with us. Even the manager stopped by to compliment our dog Ali who was well behaved for our hour of dining. The menu is diverse but affordable. Our food was excellent, my wife had the liver with bacon and I had the risotto with shrimp and both were absolutely delicious.

Yelp
My wife and I went to Spencer's to celebrate her birthday and we were super excited since we hadn't been there in a very long time because our trips to Palm Springs have become less frequent. We were seated in the outdoor patio area which is very nice and pleasant. After a while, our server, Samuel, finally came to our table. He approached us with such disdain and rudeness that we considered leaving. We decided to stay because it was already late and we were determined to not be swayed from our experience. Maybe he was just having a bad day! That turned out to be false because we observed the obvious difference in how he treated everyone else around us. Clearly this was blatant racism and discrimination on his part because my wife is Black and I'm Asian. There was a nice older couple that were sitting behind us that must've observed it all because they said some really nice things to us as they were leaving. This was truly a disappointing experience for us! Sadly, we'll probably never go back to Spencer's, and unfortunately, we'll let everyone we know in Palm Springs and LA about this. As for Samuel, if you're going to continue to be in the service industry, we hope you come to have some integrity and accountability for yourself! Oh, and, have some acceptable hygiene! For real!

Yelp
Came here for Father's Day dinner. The service was impeccable. The food was even better!! Everything we had was absolutely delicious. Zero negatives all positive!! I would recommend this restaurant to everyone! The quality of the food is excellent and the flavors of every dish complemented eachother so beautifully. We ordered the Pre Fix Menu and added crabcakes to share! I was so full I couldn't walk! lol I can't wait to come back! Thank you!!

Yelp
Fabulous food and service. I had the fixed price meal which was excellent value and quality. Best dinner we have had this week in Palm Springs

Yelp
A must try dining experience when in Palm Springs! The food is always delicious, the ambience is warm, relaxing & romantic. They have indoor & outdoor seating. The service is spot on! Our first time we sat at the bar & enjoyed drinks while someone played Jazz. We have since been back to celebrate a birthday and our anniversary

Yelp
Another great meal at Spencer's! Food was excellent. The wait staff were all very good! The atmosphere was cool under the tree, but we were kept warm by the heaters! Our out of town guest from Omaha, was thrilled by the atmosphere! Thank you Spencer's for another memorable evening!

Yelp
Dear Family of 12-years old and below, this place isn't a family friendly establishment and doesn't accommodate the young family vibe. The end.
