Lively restaurant on a Saturday. Our waitress took pretty good care of us, with the exception of not bringing bread for the table until asked. Two adults, one young child shared two entrees, and an appetizer. Good portions. Food has pretty good flavor.

Kyle was very attentive and personable. The food was great. My hubby got a pasta and crab signature dish... Very tasty. I got the caci e pepe which was also good. The limoncello marscapone dessert was awesome. Check them out for a great meal

It's absolutely phenomenal. The food here was well put together, flavored well, and the portions were on point. The atmosphere was quaint and cozy with just enough mood lighting. The waitstaff was courteous and attentive and always ready to fill, remove, and take another order. There is a variety of food to choose from there menu sure to please everyone. There is a bar with plenty of spirits to choose from. Overall, the experience was fantastic and a must go when in the area. A+

Steamed Little Neck Clams & Focaccia bread $18 Tuscan Chicken Grilled chicken breast, prosciutto, roasted red pepper, provolone, basil pesto, & arugula $17 Found them on google, in the area bc my aunt is in the hospital out here at Virtua OLOL… dope hospitality, food was delicious, i was the only one at the bar too Lol… no complaints, definitely coming back… their green tea shots are fire🔥🔥 btw 💯💯

Amazing. My food was so good. I got a vodka chicken parm sandwich & an order of the rice balls. Perfection. My daughter and I shared and we are so happy we finally stopped in here after driving past so many times. Also got a pepperoni pizza for my youngest. She ate the entire thing along with her scoop of Gelato. Cant wait to come back and try more delicious food.

Tried to come here for lunch but we walked out because it was so dirty. There was only one party in there but the bar and several tables were never cleaned off. We tried sitting at the bar but it was filled with dirty dishes and glasses even though the bar was empty. The server had stains and what looked like animal all over is clothing, even had food caked in his hair. The tables were set very sloppy and was hard to tell which tables were even clean. The final straw was when we received menus and they had sauce and stickiness all over them.

The service here is excellent. Sarah was our waitress with great suggestions on food and drinks. The short rib with risotto was fabulous. Reasonable prices. And s wide open floor plan with a more private section in the back. Romantic.

I used to live right across the street from this place and been here once to dine in about maybe 4 years ago. I was at my friends house and was craving a good cheese pizza and they did not disappoint 🤤 I love how small the pepperoni slices are and the pizza is sooooo fresh. A few days later I decided to order something else and got their chicken piccata. It was definitely worth the price. With it being a take-out order, I didn't expect it to be so good! It came with a nice warm soup and delicious soft bread. I enjoyed it all. I didn't even finish it and had leftover for the next day and I'm usually one to finish a dish but this was quite a big dish. I'm glad I now have a go-to for fresh pizza and chicken piccata. I can't wait to try other things on the menu!

Thoroughly enjoyable. Very good starters, excellent wood-fired pizza, and well executed pasta and main courses. And there's a well-thought out cocktail menu, with wine and beers. I always come here when I come to New Jersey. Highly recommended !

Located in the quiet town of a Westerville, we ca came across Speranza on our way to another occasion. The ambiance was cozy with friendly and solicitous service. . I enjoy NA beer although the Bud 0 with which I was previously unfamiliar was far below current standards in this area. We quite enjoyed the ragu that had the deeply developed flavor gained by providing longed simmering. This is an excellent choice for the area and sure to satisfy.

Nice little spot in Westville. Parking is tricky, Like can you park on street or not. Some nice lunch options with dessert. Wasn't impressed by the Penne Al Vodka. Missing something.

First visit. Cozy atmosphere. Great service. Loved the calamari with banana peppers. Excellent pizza-white with mushrooms and arugula. Only slight negative was stuff seemed slightly heavy on the salt. Still delish!

My husband, daughter and myself went for Sunday dinner and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. the food was perfectly prepared and so delicious. my husband asked for cavettelli with marinara sauce and prosciutto and was graciously accommodated. my daughter had spinach gnocchi and loved them. I had the eggplant stack with a side of spaghetti. it was delicious! they serve large portions and we brought our leftovers home for tonight's dinner. we had whipped ricotta with honey for an appetizer and it was delicious. for dessert we had tiramisu, chocolate gelato and New York cheesecake. all were very, very good. this is my new go to restaurant! Emily our waitress gave us excellent service and was very sweet. bartender was very friendly also. can't wait to go back and try their Pizza.

I really wish yelp had 1/2 stars. I'm giving this 2.5. Service was ok to good. A little slow at first but improved as we ate. We ordered cheese curds for an app which they came out quick and were delicious. We both had salads. She had a Caesar and I had a house. They were both awesome and very fresh. I order veal parmigiana and my wife ordered penne vodka. She said hers was just ok nothing special. My veal was terrible. It definitely didn't taste fresh not that I would be able to tell because it was so over cooked. It was pounded out a little too much and so thin in spots it was dry. The edges were burnt and really dry. I actually think the whole one side was burnt and was faced down with the just over done side on top. There was a decent amount of cheese and almost no sauce on it. The spaghetti it came with was textured good but the sauce on that was also terrible. It tasted like unseasoned tomato paste. I actually left food on my plate and that never happens. We were so disappointed we didn't order dessert. The beer selection for not having anything on tap was decent. I did like the look of the place inside and they had great artwork around. Over all it was clean. We probably will come back because we both really wanted to try the pizza but decided to get meals instead. Next time will be pizza only.

My aunt and I went on a Friday at 4. We were the only patrons at the time. Around 4:30 a few more people came in. Very friendly staff. I ordered a pepperoni pizza with extra cheese (pictured) it was decent. I didn't like the taste of the pepperoni. I'm not sure why but I love little eateries like these.

We ordered takeout. Although the place looks cool and has TVs, I couldn't really say much about the on-site service. The food was extremely good. We had three different appetizers and three different main dishes, and we were pleased with all. It would've been a five star rating except the red sauce was a little bit bland for all three of us were eating dinner. Other than that it was great.

I'm always looking for new places to try and this one popped up while searching near Deptford. I saw how good the ratings were (4 stars is not common) and started to check out the photos and reviews. I dined on a Saturday evening around 7 pm. We were seated right away, given the best table in the house, right by the window. The waiter greeted us right away and brought us water. She gave us time to choose our drinks. She was attentive and accommodating. I asked for a recommendation based on two dishes I was in between and she gave me a knowledgeable recommendation. The whipped ricotta was amazing. Not only were the ricotta and honey perfect, the bread was toasted with cheese and that really elevated the dish. The mango risotto was unique and creamy. The crab was tasty and the portions were nice. We did ask for more bread because we didn't want to leave any ricotta behind. The mango margarita was delicious, that was a specialty drink. I didn't love the Nonna's Garden martini, but that was a risk I was willing to take. We didn't have room for dessert, so I did not see that menu or options. I'm excited to return and try more appetizers and entrees. It looks like they have nice specials during the week and a regular 'appy hour.' The dining room isn't huge, so I would recommend making reservations if you have a larger group. I'll keep you posted with the new dishes I try, because I will be back!

Amazing food! Located on the main strip in Westville, is a charming little cafe that packs every dish with flavor! A full bar with specialty drinks is available. The veal parmigiana was nice and crispy but tender on the inside. Can't wait to return and try the fig pizza!

The eggplant rollatini was the best around. No place could compare and they took off menu , they have a fried eggplant stack. Prob good if u eat fried food. So I won't be going back. The server said everyone ask for it. So maybe they will bring it back. Pleaseeeeeee

We had a nice dinner a few Mondays ago. My sister and I had muscles, a plant salmon. Friendly staff, very good cocktails.

We really do enjoy Speranza. Unfortunately on a recent visit we had dinner and the pasta dish that was $25 was a considerably small portion that had a great flavor but left me wanting more, my dinnermate had a eggplant sandwich that had 1 slice of eggplant on a ciabatta roll with the greens on top. One slice on a $15 Sammy was not enough. It tasted great but really felt like there should have been more eggplant. Service great, drinks great. Atmosphere great! Portions weak

Happened to be in the area and searched on Yelp for lunch. Once I saw wood-fired I was sold. I found parking on a small back street, but on street parking is available. The ambiance is very nice and welcoming, hanging string lights, cute decor, plenty of seating, a nice street view (although the businesses across the street have seen better days), and a nice bar area. My server Alexis was awesome. Friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, professional and quick. I noticed they had some local beers and although not a beer drinker herself, Alexis had feedback on the breweries and the specific beers. That's great service! I ended up having an Eight and Sand Coffee Porter which was delicious. It's brewed a couple miles down the road in Woodbury. She talked me into a three course lunch menu for $17.95. The Tomato & Crab bisque was my app. I found it to be a good balance of the two, just lacked flavor and needed more crab. Some black pepper helped liven it up a bit. For my main, I had a personal wood fired pizza which comes in four choices, Bianco, Margherita, Plain or Pepperoni. I went with the Margherita and it came out piping hot. I think it needed more time in that oven and I should have asked for it well done. The crust needed a little more time to char and the mozzarella came off in chunks. I had to fold the slices to keep them in place. These are all minor complaints and I feel bad even mentioning them, but I will get the personal well done next time. The sauce was good, little sweet, not too acidic and had some spice to it. Lastly I went with a generous scoop of cannoli Gelato which was delicious! It tasted like someone smashed in a couple cannoli's with some vanilla Gelato.. Yum! I left stuffed! I think on my next visit I need to get more aggressive with my menu choices and push my taste buds more. Overall, this is a great spot and if I could give it a 4.5 I would. A follow up visit will happen, definitely stop here if you're in the area. Thanks again guys!

Tried Speranza for the first time tonight and was not disappointed! First they were able to accommodate our request for a table change and secondly they graciously were able to honor my request to substitute pasta for mashed potatoes on the nightly special! Billy, our server, made the night quite memorable - he asked if this was our first visit and made us feel very welcome and was very attentive all evening. He briefly discussed the restaurant's specialties - the wood-fired pizza - and the drink menu and "appy" hour specials. The different pizzas sounded really good, but my wife and I opted for entrees and glad we did, though we both agreed we will come back and try the pizza. I ordered the Marry Me Chicken, a special that evening, it was great, especially over the pasta, which they substituted for the mashed potatoes. My wife ordered the Blackened Salmon over a mango risotto which she said was tasty and well prepared. She also enjoyed the maple old-fashioned. For dessert we split the brownie sundae, which was good, but probably should have went with Billy's recommendation of the cannolis. The portions were ample and we both took home a tasty lunch for later! We walked in without reservations and were seated immediately. The restaurant was small but had a quirky intimacy - it had a crowd, but was not crowded and had a small bar in case there was a wait or if you wanted to sit and order a few appetizers.

Small and relatively unassuming from the outside. Somewhat plain inside. The food is fabulous. Every dish we got was delightful. The drinks were also tasty. Our server was attentive and polite.

I ordered the Granchio Pizza and I have to say that have to be the worse pizza I've ever tasted. Salty, and dry. My son ordered the Meat my Honey Pizza and I think next time I'll order that one because that was delicious. We had order pick up and it was fast and they made a change to one of our request. So other then the granchio pizza everything else was great.

Just moved to this area and a neighbor told my boyfriend Tyrone about this place and so glad we listened! Great food, great prices, and our server Karen was awesome... Definitely will be going back!

Service is always great. It's nice that they have a full bar now. However we have found that the food is hit or miss. My eggplant stack was watery, spinach risotto ended up being tomato risotto, and very thick. The crab ball appetizer was amazing. The crab with Angel hair pasta, lacked something. Pizzas are always good. Most annoying if you pay with a credit/debit card you get charged a "customer fee"

My husband and I just went to dinner here for the first time. We've gotten take out many times and always loved it! Not only was our food amazing, down to the side salads and bread but the service was incredible! Our server Erin, who mentioned she was was newer, was great and attentive! We asked for recommendations and it didn't disappoint! Not to mentions we ordered a pizza to go and one of the guys from the back came out and was so friendly and excited for us to be trying this pizza for the first time. Can't wait to come back again! 10/10 across the board!

Delicious sandwiches, and the french fries are incredible. Highly recommend for lunch.

we haven't been here for awhile and went for my wife's bday dinner . we ordered drinks and looked over the menu. Had some questions about some specials. The girl had to go back a couple times to ask the cook I believe then we get our salads no dressing Caesar salad was terrible. My wife had wilted lettuce then we get our entrée I had the blackened salmon very dry, my wife had the spaghetti with crab and the sauce had no flavor then we get the Bill and we have two lemon cello on our bill which we never ordered then they add the 3.5%. If you use your credit card we went for happy hour and Bill was like $100. I'd rather spend that kind of money and go to a nice place because the service and the food wasn't good we will not return.

Oh the stars must have been shining down on me .... I wanted to do a happy dance of joy because after years of searching I just may have found a South Jersey establishment that knows how to make a pizza with distinction! I think all of us as part of our life's journey are searching for not just good pizza but the ultimate pie where the crust, the sauce, the cheese, and the toppings all come together in one amazing bite! SPERANZA's Meatball Pizza held true to those goals from my first bite to the last, which occurred as a warmed up left over slice. In these difficult times I have to cheer the service of local businesses! These guys were superb from the person answering the phone to the person bringing out to my car! Hey, with this kind of service I almost liked the pandemic for a moment. As the pizza box was handed to me through my car windows basil was in the air ... oh my goodness I could smell basil and the other aroma's one wants from a pizza. So, I had to sneak a peek! YES .... the crust looked like it was baked in a real oven and formed by a human being not just. coming off the assembly line in the midst of a domino game where it's all about each pie being at the right temperature and looking the same while tasting bland. There were brown bubbles and cracks and the colors of the cheese, tomato sauce, basil, and meatballs .... I wanted to eat it there but the wine was at home. The crunch of the crust the blends of flavors on the palette and meatball's seasoning just right ... PIZZA HEAVEN!!! I am so so happy!!! I may have found my pizza place!!! And .... the most amazing part ... the price is UNBELIEVABLY AFFORDABLE!!!! Can't wait to order curbside again although I am curious now about the non-pizza menu since this was so good!

FANTASTIC ITALIAN. Honestly, one of the best places we've ever been. Service was also very good. But the food? OMG. Calamari! Off the hook. Mussels in white sauce - WOW Cheese Curds?! Very good. Pizza - Excellent Eggplant Rollatini? OMG WOW

Cute place with friendly service. We came here for lunch as we had a local flavor deal. The place had a few customers but was empty for the most part. I ordered the wedge salad which was okay. Nothing special about it. I ordered the mussels for my lunch. I do not care for large mussels so they were just okay. My daughter ordered the fettuccini Alfredo which she said was fine. Our server was very nice and let my daughter try different gelatos. I might return again and try dinner if I had another local flavor deal. It was fine for a $15 lunch.

Ok yes the food is good, I'll give you that. The Gorgonzola steak is amazing, love the house salad dressing. We were told they were not serving pizza or sandwiches in house but you can get them take away. No longer a byob. Unnecessary restrictions in my opinion. Can't get the house wine by the bottle? What? But yes the food is good.

I've been meaning to try this place out for a couple years now and today I finally had the chance and I have to say I am very very disappointed ( in myself) for not trying this place sooner!!! Absolutely great place I had to personal Margherita pizza with a homemade mozzarella out of this world. My wife had the macaroni and cheese la forta, amazing!! Each of our lunches came with soup or salad the crab bisque was great. They do have a liquor license because I've noticed a wine list. Also if you're in the area there is a really great microbrew across the street named Westville Brewery and two doors down a cupcake shop. All together making a very nice combination.

We have only done takeout from Speranza so far, but we've tried lots. Pastas, sandwiches, pizzas, apps. Everything is always a hit.

It was very good service was great first time there won't be the last. Salmon and chicken saltimboca both came with different risotto but were delicious.

Authentic Italian food .... I live in south Philly.... Would fit in very easily...lol. Not overly priced.... If you enjoy homemade Italian food. Give it a try!!!

Went for lunch, cool place, decent food, good staff. Tried the pizza. It was tasty but I 'm not sure there is any actual wood firing going on. The Speranza "gourmet" cheesesteak was certainly priced accordingly, but sadly light on the steak and heavy on the cheddar and truffle aioli which ended up tasting like blobbed mayo. Could have been great but came up short. Maybe the chefs day off. Dinner menu was intriguing and a friend highly recommended the place so we will be back some evening. Let's hope the head chef is cooking and they learn to plate like proper Italians.

One of my most favorite places to go locally! Our perfect little secret in Gloucester County and Westville. Many delicious choices. The pork chop is a MUST - hands down. The meatball salad is unique and so delicious! For appetizers - the bruschetta is the bomb. The mussels - red or white - get them too! There is a pizza with prosciutto and arugula, one with mushroom, and a peach buratta one. Again, one of my favorite places to go. Cheesecake, gelato - the adffogato, too! Mixed drinks are part of the menu also. Lex makes a MEAN peach Arnold Palmer, Italian style. Please check them out. Ask for Lex or Victoria too.

I was hesitant to go because of some of the reviews I read but some were okay so we went for dinner. It was disappointing for me. The risotto was thick and flavorless and pricey. Service was fine but it wasn't busy and the ambiance is okay nothing spectacular.

Great wood fired Pie! Ambiance is nice. Great little local spot tucked away in a few blocks of nice places to dine.

The Pizza is amazing BUT, the Cheese Curds made me feel like I was back in Minnesota!! It's definitely a great meal with very good service. Also try the crab bisque... it's yummy!!! We will definitely be back!!

Outstanding! From the neighborhood, building, and awesome atmosphere. The pizza is fantastic. Crisp and very tasty! The waitstaff is the best - Cameron is the Man!! It literally does not get any better! Highly recommend!!

The first time I came here, I loved the food. But I just tried to go there on Saturday with a party of 4 and we were turned away at the door. I called a week prior to book a reservation and I was told that reservations could only be made 30 minutes ahead of time. So that Saturday, I called and made a reservation for 30 minutes from when I called. I was told that would be fine. When I showed up with my party, the hostess was extremely rude and insisted that I didn't speak with her so my reservation was invalid. She then rudely suggested other restaurants we could go to instead. We were not even given a wait time. I definitely won't be back. The hostess attitude and my entire experience was a complete turn off.

If you are looking for gluten free pizza, they have a very good one! They also have great pastas (regular and GF), and THE best french fries I have ever had - no joke. The customer service is good, the location is nice - right in the downtown area, and the gelato is on spot. They accommodated where requested and also made it very special for my daughter on her birthday. Also, kids eat free on Monday nights, which is really a treat, since kids meals come with gelato and are usually $7. (1 meal per paid entree)

Another great lunch! Always perfect, starting with pleasant staff taking the order over the phone, food is delivered fresh and hot, and delicious! I've never been disappointed with any of their food - always outstanding!

First time and had a very pleasant experience. Started with the meatball appetizer, delicious! Had a house salad and the chicken pesto pizza. Salad was a good portion and very fresh, house dressing was great. Watch out for the banana peppers if you don't like hot! The pizza was good, thin crust plenty of topping but very little pesto flavor. Had a slice of the margarita pizza and it had more flavor- nice sauce! Service was good, we did have to wait 15 minutes even with a reservation. BYOB but you can buy wine at the table.

I'm almost ashamed to say that I've never been to Speranza before, even though I knew this place existed from the day it opened. Thank goodness that Sophia I suggested that I try this place for lunch... This is a cant fail, quality restaurant for lunch... It's BYOB here, and the atmosphere is spacious and comfortable. So far I've been back a few times and have enjoyed the chicken parm, which is a huge lunch portion on top of spaghetti with a very good sauce. The eggplant rotini is very good also... If I don't come in for nothing else, I'd stop in just for a cup of crab bisque, which is a first course option and is served daily. I've come in to get takeout for my kids, and have only ordered the crab bisque for myself.. it really is that good. For lunch at $8.95, Speranza has crept to the top of my local places for my midday meal.

Decided to try this restaurant since we are looking to find the right place to get food catered. I ordered over the phone and was able to pay over the phone which right now it's Great! They took my order and told me exactly what time the food would be ready which is also a plus and I didn't even have to call the restaurant once I got there! The car side pick up was really easy! So now to the food we ordered the chicken parmigiana and baked ziti. Both of the meals were good they come with a choice of salad or soup. We were satisfied with the meals. We would definitely come back !!!
