"A Parisian Sojourn in New Delhi Imagine a scene from Scott F. Fitzgerald’s Great Gatsby where a live jazz band serenades guests as they subliminally move to the rhythm of the music, with hors d’oeuvres in one hand and a vodka martini in the other. Expect a mirrored image of the same vibrant energy and posh ambience of Gatsby’s soirees aboard the Orient Express. Orient Express, the most expensive restaurant in Delhi and voted one the world’s best restaurants, offers a world-class dining experience alongside live jazz bands and fresh food flown in daily from France . The luxurious culinary journey begins in private booths on faux carriages that beautifully mimic the legendary train. The crisp menu offers cuisines of all countries through which the Orient Express traversed, with the classic French fare remaining triumphant. Revel in the seven-course meal, with an appetizer to whet your appetite and the signature dessert to perfect the extravaganza, and of course, succulent sorbet bites in between dishes to neutralize your overwhelmed, yet gratified palate. The individual carriages of the Orient Express are illuminated by gleaming brass fittings, polished wood paneling, and steel facades which not only mesmerize, but promise to fiercely invigorate your senses."

Food: This niche Chinese restaurant offers a wide variety of authentic dishes. We ordered chicken dim sums, Chilly paneer, Hakka noodles & sauteed vegetables with Virgin Mojito. The menu has options from tender Peking duck to spicy Sichuan prawns. The taste is authentic and true Chinese. Ambience: This place blends luxury with comfort, You get a cozy yet elegant atmosphere here. Hot red lighting and dim lit decor with subtle Chinese motifs make it look quite inviting. Service: Service is exceptional here, with friendly and knowledgeable staff eager to enhance your dining experience. They are attentive without being intrusive, offering recommendations and ensuring every guest feels welcomed and well-cared for.

A good authentic Chinese restaurant at the venerable Taj hotel in Delhi. The decor is nice and relaxing, the mood is chill and the service is top notch. The menu has lots of variety and the dishes we ordered were well prepared and flavorful. The lemongrass crème brûlée was the perfect dessert to end the meal. Definitely worth a repeat visit.

I had a craving for Peking duck. This was met unequivocally at Spicy Duck. The meat was tender, the wrap wafer thin and the condiments delightful. The dan dan noodles had good texture, albeit the chicken was a tad overly spiced. Nevertheless, a delightful Chinese kitchen.

Loved the Ambience and the Service. With food, Dim Sums could have been a little better. Loved the dessert though. Our Server was really friendly and we had a memorable celebration. Looking forward to next time 🙂

The service was great but the atmosphere of the restaurant did not match the atmosphere of the hotel itself. The food could have been better if it there was more variety in the seasoning. Some dishes, although different names, tasted almost the same.😅 All in all a good experience because of the staff and service.

Spicy Duck is Located at Taj Palace, New Delhi. I was staying at Taj and decided to have lunch here and I’m glad I did. It was one of a kind experience. The ambience is just beautiful and the food here is absolutely Authentic Chinese cuisine. Totally enjoyed sichuan cuisine. The staff is really polite and courteous. We had veg wok tossed fried rice, veg spicy sichuan noodles and vegetables in black bean sauce. All of these were delicious. My favourite was spicy noodles, it had a nice flavour of sichuan pepper and smoke to it. The table was set beautifully and they had great quality of chopsticks as well. We all were served individual kimchi side dish. I would highly recommend this restaurant 💯

Truly unforgettable Anniversary date at Spicy Duck, Taj Palace Hotel New Delhi, offering authentic Chinese with a modern twist. Treated ourselves to luscious Cantonese & Sichuan flavours served with the magic of Tajness. An extraordinary amalgamation of Contemporary vibrance, Minimalistic Elegant interiors, Cozy ambience, Authentic Balanced flavours & Warm affectionate hospitality. The name Spicy Duck gains it's inspiration from the Duck that signifies freedom, happiness and fidelity in China. The food is all about home-infused oils, aromatic spices and a deviation from an overuse of condiments. We kick started our meal with an assortment of dimsums. Veg- Edamame dimsums, Shanghai dumpling Non Veg- Pan fried chicken Guo-Tie, Chicken Pakchoi Absolutely divine and come in the thinnest of coverings which are bound to leave you astounded. All with perfectly cooked meat and veggies in elaborate and delicious sauces with a hint of spice giving it that kick. Don’t forget to sample the duck delicacies when you land up here. We tried the Peking Duck roll and Mock Duck roll (Since my husband is a vegetarian) and they were insanely good. Relished the Crispy Honey lotus stem, mushroom spring roll & Chicken Tai Chin too. The staff was super helpful in helping us pick the right dishes according to our palate. What’s even better than delectable food? Some pours to match our meal! We tried 4 cocktails Consensual (Vodka based), Smoked Sandalwood Old fashioned (Whiskey based), Berries & Rose aperol spritz (Vodka based) and Aegeon Fantasy (Gin based) And yes! Their Signatures surely hit all the right notes. Their food is a delicious combination of taste and essence. For mains their Shanghai shredded chicken, Vegetable in hot garlic sauce, Ma po Tofu in chilli bean paste with Pan fried chicken noodles and Veg fried rice were definitely a treat for our tastebuds! The perfect conclusion to our delicious meal were the desserts. Must try the Crispy date pancakes with icecream and Sweet chilli chocolate mousse in brittle basket. The creations will blow you away. Spicy Duck is a real treat to all the senses!

It's a beautiful Hotel. The staff is very generous, polite communicative and responsive. They always are eager to serve their best. It's close to several embassies which makes it easily accessible for dignitaries. The IGI airport is 15-20 minutes away. You would enjoy your stay here.
