Excellent Indian just off the esplanade. The people are genuinely helpful. I was offer to taste a fish pakora the staff were having! The biriyani is superb and the tandoori platter is the same. Will be back next time we are in Cairns

I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every dish we tried was cooked to perfection, and the taste exceeded our expectations. The service was warm and attentive, making the entire dining experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a great Indian food in Carins and a welcoming atmosphere.

I was really disappointed with the food. I spent $46 plus the cost of an Uber, and honestly, it wasn’t worth it. I called around 9 pm to check if they were still open—they were about to close but still offered me a table, which I appreciated since I was hungry and craving a good Chicken Tikka Masala with naan. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to expectations. The dish lacked seasoning and flavour, and the naan was thin and dry—more like a papadum. It was quite upsetting, especially since I had a wonderful experience here 15 years ago. Sadly, it now feels like there’s a real lack of staff, passion for food, and overall hospitality.

Super oily and $33.50 for one curry and naan bread (not even including rice). Would have been ok if it was an exceptional curry, but it was average at best.

So expensive for what we got! Barely any meat in the curry (4 prawns in the prawn curry) miniature “dips” for $6.50… that was just ridiculously overpriced… we would have gotten better at an all-you-can-eat buffet. This takeaway cost us $160.

The food itself was good—flavorful, well-cooked, no complaints there. But the portion sizes were shockingly small for the price. We spent $160 to feed four adults and barely had enough food for one. One of the containers (they all cost $28.50) had just four prawns in it. In addition, we had to make our own rice to bulk out the meal. We actually called the restaurant because we thought part of the order was missing. They told us no, that was everything. They did offer to give us more prawns and an extra sauce, but wouldn’t say how many prawns we’d be getting, and after driving there once already for pickup and being disappointed, we didn’t think it was worth another trip. After trying to figure out why such small portions and expensive prices, the man told me that due to their esplanade location, prices were higher. Bottom line: while the food was tasty, this is not good value for your money. If you're looking for a satisfying meal, go somewhere else. Total order: Beef vindaloo Lamb rogan Goan Prawn curry Butter chicken Pappadam platter Naan

The food is amazing, I eat here as much as I can so much tastier than the other restaurants around. They have a really friendly atmosphere with good customer service at a good price. Indian is quickly becoming my favourite cuisine and I have not managed to find an indian restaurant I liked since moving to Cairns, until I found this little gem on the Esplanade. Thank you Spicy India management and team for the amazing service and great food!

After a very exhausting day exploring the great barrier reef had some brilliant authentic Indian food. Higly recommend! Great service and great quality!
