Terrible. Place has gone downhill greatly in the past 18 months since last eating here, should of checked the reviews before ordering. The butter chicken was filled with gristle and had no taste, rice was over cooked and crunchy. Garlic cheese naan was edible but seems a bit undercooked. $51 is well overpriced for what they offer. Sad to see it go downhill, maybe new owners or staff.

Had Chola-bhatura and chicken dish here. Very nice hospitality by the owner. Food was good too. Open spacious seating arrangement near the edplanade.

I’m not one to write many reviews but this one is absolutely needed. I am so disappointed with how much we payed and what we received I wish I read reviews before going to this place. My partner and I ate here with our friend. The first red flag was the price of the mains but we are on holidays and we thought we would see how well the food is prepared for the price of $29.90 per main. Oh man we were so naive. Starters were brought out, the onion bhaaji and samosas, they were okay, samosas were drenched in oil. Once the mains were brought out we thought it was a joke. We ordered two butter chickens and a chicken tikka masala, served in small $1 Kmart bowls. The chicken tikka was nothing like I’ve seen before and was so bland, the butter chicken was super creamy but tasted nice. For $160-170 i would never in my life go back to that place.

This place is amazing! Was not expecting such delicious food but we were left mesmerised. The seekh kebab was light, well cook and nicely spiced. The prawns tandoori were slightly over but the taste was delicious. For the main course we had chicken Taka tak and I will have to say that I have not had a better chicken curry dish at an Indian restaurant in Australia till date. The roti and the garlic naan were soft and had a generous layer of butter on it. The mango lassi was okay. Not too much to complain but I’ve had better.

A must to visit for peoples who are looking for a high-quality food. Located in the heart of Cairns City, Spicy Bite Indian Restaurant delivers authentic Indian food made from fresh ingredients. The taste is amazing and the view of the shop is wonderful. Staff are highly attentive and try their best to assist customers to make the food based on their taste. Highly recommended!!!

The Tandoori chicken were bursting with flavour, juicy, marinated tender meat and mint chutney. The flavours of lamb biryani were rich and perfectly balanced with a side of cooling raita. The service was attentive without being intrusive. Though pricey for me but taste and quality ingredients justify the cost. I will surely visit Spicy India at Esplanade again.

Delicious food. Waiting time was more than 30 mins. It was not conveyed to us before ordering. Still I gave five stars because staff was good and food was delicious. After eating dinner, the waiting time was justifiable as it tastes so fresh. Ambience is also nice.

Maybe the worst Indian food I ever had in my life. In the name of biryani, it was just fried rice with some tikka chicken. Instead of naan, it was pan made roti which we were expecting to be cooked in tandoor. And chucked kadai wasn’t even close to chicken kadai. And the English spoke by the guy there wasn’t clear due to his fake accent. I was sick and had to go hospital bucz of food
