Excellent Indian just off the esplanade. The people are genuinely helpful. I was offer to taste a fish pakora the staff were having! The biriyani is superb and the tandoori platter is the same. Will be back next time we are in Cairns

My wife and I had the absolute best experience. The owner and his wife were incredibly welcoming and hospitable and our food was cooked to perfection. The chef was able to accommodate our dietary restrictions and made us delicious samosa chaat and a phenomenal crocodile main course, adding the perfect amount of spice to the dishes where the natural flavors of the ingredients weren't overshadowed at all. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars, but since we can't, Spicy India will undoubtedly be a revisit on our next trip to Cairns!

Very nice food, flavourful and delicious. The service was amazing, all of the staff was super nice and friendly. Not only did they have great staff, the atmosphere was fantastic. They had a very sweet staffy that was so well behaved on the couch inside.

Amazing food and great service at Spicy India Cairns. The Mango Lassi was perfectly creamy and refreshing, and the Chicken Tikka Masala was rich, flavourful, and absolutely delicious. The owner is incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Highly recommend this place if you're in Cairns and love good Indian food.

I was really disappointed with the food. I spent $46 plus the cost of an Uber, and honestly, it wasn’t worth it. I called around 9 pm to check if they were still open—they were about to close but still offered me a table, which I appreciated since I was hungry and craving a good Chicken Tikka Masala with naan. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to expectations. The dish lacked seasoning and flavour, and the naan was thin and dry—more like a papadum. It was quite upsetting, especially since I had a wonderful experience here 15 years ago. Sadly, it now feels like there’s a real lack of staff, passion for food, and overall hospitality.

Spicy India was big surprise and we will definitely be returning on any future trips to Cairns. The staff are engaging and helpful. The curries are extremely tasty. We had prawn madras & lamb Rogan.. samoas & fish pakora for entree.. Peshwari naan was fresh and tasty.. a great experience
