We were pleasantly surprised by just how idyllic spier hotel was. The interior design, the grounds and the food were fantastic. The service was a 11/10. Expect pockets of fireplaces and charm everywhere and an abundance of art to enjoy. The small touches and effort were amazing. For a quick break from the city we really enjoyed our stay.

From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional—friendly, professional, and attentive.||The food was outstanding, with every dish beautifully presented and full of flavour. We also stayed at the hotel, and the rooms were absolutely stunning—spacious, luxurious, and spotlessly clean. True five-star quality in every way.||The setting is gorgeous, and the staff went above and beyond to make the celebration special. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.|Highly recommended for a special occasion or a relaxing escape!

the hotel was stunning, the rooms were gorgeous & well laid out. Especially loved the heated bathroom floors. Breakfast was delicious! But the most special part of my stay was that every single staff member was an absolute pleasure to meet! They were so friendly, genuine, warm, interesting, efficient and helpful! Can absolutely feel that they love their jobs and they love Spier - really special experience & highly recommend!

Spier was the perfect blend of relaxation, luxury, and warm hospitality. The estate is absolutely beautiful, with tranquil gardens and beautifully renovated rooms that are stylish and comfortable. We loved the private wine tasting experience and had an exceptional dinner with personal touches. The service throughout was friendly and professional, and the spa treatment was one of the best I’ve had. Can’t wait to return!

My husband and I recently spent a night at the newly refurbished Spier Hotel. The refurbishment was done with class and sophistication and an unwavering attention to detail. The staff were attentive and friendly from the concierge to the gardeners. Dinner in Veld restaurant was excellent and the breakfast offering was divine!

Impeccable. The location is stunning, and there is so much to do without even leaving the property! What made this a stand out to us was the people. All the staff we interacted with were friendly, helpful and went the extra mile to make our stay memorable. We loved cosy afternoons and evenings by the fire as well as the amazing food in the restaurant.

I don’t like to stay at the same place twice, but I will make an exception for Spier—just an incredible place. I don’t even know where to start but everything from the moment we checked in to checking out was 10/10. The food, the grounds, the staff, the spa, the restaurants, the wine… just wow. We stayed in winter so the hotel and grounds were quiet (perfect!) and the weather wasn’t great so we didn’t get to use the Segway’s or take a picnic, but that’s for next time we visit!
