The Best Things to Do in Mykonos—and How to Skirt the Crowds

"If you’re on a foodie road trip, part way between the two is Rizes, a family-run, farm-to-fork dining experience set in five-acres of farmland."

We had a wonderful experience at Spilia. The food was delicious and beautifully presented — every dish was thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. The service was attentive and professional, which made the experience even more enjoyable. However, the music was extremely loud and quite challenging for sensitive ears. After a while, my friend and I felt uncomfortable and decided to leave earlier than we had planned. Overall, the restaurant offers excellent food and service, but be prepared for the high volume if you’re sensitive to loud environments

Be careful that this restaurant has several floors. Each floor has like a different vibe. The botoom floor has a party style with DJ dancing etc. There are other calmer floors and super calm floors for like family lunch. So make sure you are accurate with your reservation on which table or location you will get since you might not be happy at all if you prefer the party vibes or chill vibes instead!! We booked a table but it was in a calm area whereas we wanted to be in the party area and we didnt know.. Food is amazing but expensive! Next time we need to be more accurate on reservation. Nice views too!

Dinner out with friends in a spectacular location but the food is not up to standard. The grilled octopus was dry, the ceviche was missing flavor, and the grilled salmon was overcooked. Unfortunately the waiter also dropped the juices from the plate on my white shirt while cleaning the table.

Do not let Spilia book you a taxi home. It seems there is some sort of deal between them and car services which turn a ride you paid 40 to get there into a 70 euro ride on the way home. We took the exact style Mercedes van both ways and were completely ripped off on the ride home. Beware, specifically, of the van in this photo. Otherwise, as advertised the location and food are great. The service was fine. The prices were a bit crazy but that’s just Mykonos I guess.

Spilia is a truly unique dining experience in Mykonos, offering delicious food in an incredible setting. The atmosphere is simply breathtaking, making it a must-visit spot. The sea urchin, taramasalata, and lobster pasta are absolute must-tries – fresh, flavorful, and expertly prepared. As the evening progresses, the music gets louder, and the place fills up with people, creating a vibrant party-like atmosphere. If you enjoy that kind of energy, you’ll love it here! Chef Stavros took great care of us, ensuring a fantastic dining experience. Just keep in mind that reservations are essential!

If you don’t get a table downstairs, it is not worth it. Don’t come with high expectations, wish for the best, expect for the worst. We were assigned to a table way back on the restaurant, low volume music, little people, and it seemed to me like it is an annex that’s used only when is too crowded. I reserved way back in April, and this is not what I should have gotten. Shame on them.

This is one of the best places to have seafood in island, specially octopus & lobster . tables have 2-3 hrs stay time, they have DJ, and the party starts around 4:30-5:00 pm, so better to book it later if you wanna enjoy the party as well. Never try it without booking in high season.😎 No wheelchair access, ladies avoid 👠 here. Too many steps.
