Spin Designer Hostel

Let me start with good things first. Staff is super friendly, especially staff at the bar next to the hotel. Breakfast is nice and location of the hostel is pretty good too. However, facilities and the hostel is in dire need of some repair, renovation and cleaning. The room we had was dirty, moldy and smelled humid. The AC dry function was not helping at all. We stayed there only 2 out of 4 planned days and changed hotel immediately when we found a better alternative. Every single day our clothes were wet, so were the bedsheets and everything textile in the room. The room we got was dirty on day 1 and it remained so until our check out. Showering in this hostel was a challenge as well (as you can see in attached video); there’s literally no pressure in the hose system, and of course, you guessed it - no hot water. Pool area is nice, so is the bar, but pool water is just so, so, so dirty. I get it, its a hostel, its a cheap alternative, but it really needs some updates and cleaning to deserve such a high rating.

I initially had doubts about this hotel because, among the options my girlfriend and I were considering, this one was the cheapest. At the time, nearly all the highly-rated hotels were already booked, so we had no choice. On the day of our first visit, we were warmly greeted by the staff and given free welcome drink vouchers (worth over 200 pesos each). Surprisingly, the hotel was quite spacious—not just in the common areas, but also in the dining area and the rooms themselves. The free breakfast buffet that comes with the stay was decent, but nothing special. What I really love about this place is how everything becomes so easily accessible thanks to the motorcycle rental and van transfer services available at the front desk. They're also very generous—they even have free refill water stations and a free DIY laundry area, which helped us save a lot. (Don't miss out on their 147 bar in their garden area!) I've stayed at many different hotels across various star ratings, and I can confidently say that Spin is in my top 5 for best value-for-money. If you're reading this because you're still undecided, take it as a sign to book ASAP!

I have no complaints for this hotel. I traveled all the way from PPS and arrived earlier than the check in time but upon arrival, the room is ready. So that was really helpful. Their breakfast is not alot but quite complete, egg station, coffee, rice, pancakes and bread. They also have juice and water dispenser- so recommend to bring your tumblers but they have glasses for you. Cozy place to stay and they have 100 peso margarita on a Friday night so perfect way to spend your weekend. They have washing machine you can use anytime too so if you are staying long, it’s quite useful.

Beds were comfortable. Excellent facilities and breakfast was always good. Surprised they even have an egg station everyday for breakfast! Fruits and variety of breads also a welcome treat. Definitely a very good hostel! I will return and worth every penny spent!

My two nights stay at El Nido. I took a single room in this hostel.Room: Very clean. Bed was comfy. AC performance was Ok. Bathroom was clean and had hot water running, had bath gel and shampoo. Wifi worked super.Service: Staffs are very helpful. I must mention about Kaye who helped me to choose tour operators, food places and things to do in El Nido. Breakfast was fine- american brekafast, some local item and fruits+tea/coffee. Every monday they do a movie night from 7pm at their dining area. Boarders can use manual washing machine for free.Location: Superb. Only 8/10 mins walk to the happening area of El Nido beach. Las cabanas beach is only 8/10 minutes by tricycle. Airport is around 15/20 mins away.

I had an incredible stay at this hostel! The atmosphere, the people, and the place itself were absolutely lovely. It’s easily one of the best hostels I’ve experienced. The staff were outstanding—always kind, smiling, and ready to help with any questions I had. A special shoutout to Joe, who truly stood out with his humor and accommodating nature. He made the stay even more enjoyable. The breakfast was not only delicious but also well-prepared, and the rooms and beds were spacious and comfortable. I also appreciated the large lockers, which easily fit two big backpacks. My only suggestion would be to provide a mop in the showers so guests can clean up after themselves, as sand and dirt sometimes accumulated. Other than that, everything was perfect. I wholeheartedly recommend this hostel and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again if I return to El Nido. Thank you for a truly pleasant experience!

I recently stayed at hostel and had a wonderful experience. The staff was friendly and attentive, making check-in smooth and easy. The room was clean and comfortable, with great amenities. The location was perfect, close to many attractions and restaurants. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area
