Spindler & Klatt

It's an ok place for a night out, but please don't be fooled by the positive description of this place on several websites! Personally I don't think it's a classy night club (it's an ok venue in an old warehouse, but nothing fancy about it), it was so very overcrowded you could hardly dance, there is only one emergency exit down a small corridor for a véry big and full dancefloor, expensive drinks, mainstream music at the main dance floor, and the lóngest line up for drinks! We were there for about 4,5 hours and only got drinks twice just because we couldn't be bothered standing in line for so long. Also, the heated outdoor area - from where you were supposed to be able to see the fireworks - had non-see through plastic pretty much all around so no view of the fireworks at all. That being said, I thought the staff was nice and the atmosphere was good.

Music was horrible, the vibe of the people inside was also weird, usually older people there. We left for a short while and went back in, I was with two white guys and a white girl. The bouncer only asked me to pat my body down after a bunch of questions, had to open my bag of tobacco for him. He himself was clearly not white, which confused me even more and he was smug as hell. Never ever happened in my life and I go to many berlin clubs/venues as I'm a local. Discriminatory and weird club, best to avoid especially for the price.

We planned to spend New Year’s Eve at this venue as a group, but several members of our party were denied entry without any clear explanation. The door staff stated that they were not required to provide a reason, which already felt unprofessional. The interaction escalated unnecessarily, and the communication was discourteous even after we had left the entrance area. Following the incident, we contacted the venue by email to raise our concerns. Unfortunately, we did not receive any apology or acknowledgment of responsibility, which further reinforced the impression that guest experience is not taken seriously. The experience demonstrated inadequate customer service and poor communication, Based on this experience, I would not recommend the venue or consider returning.

Spent New Year's there. We bought a ticket beforehand and still had to wait 1h in the queue. Once we entered we still had to wait a long time for the cloakroom and for a drink we waited 1h30 in line, we decided to leave this place before even getting to the drinks so we would have waited way more. I wouldn't recommend

We tried to celebrate new years here, but 3 out of 7 of us got denied for no reason. The doormen told us they don’t have to give a reason and even got psychical when we were not even on their terrain anymore. Very rude employees. Also my friend who was already inside, tried to speak to the manager when she just told her colleague in German “get rid of them” luckily we spoke German so we could uncover this childish sentence. My friend that did got in went in for like 5 minutes and said the place was too full and completely overbooked, so also good job at planning this night spindler & klatt. Definitely wouldn’t go to this club don’t condone this kind of behavior. Even matrix club is better. Definitely worst club in Berlin and I visited a lot of them.

Refusing people who bought their ticket based and queued for a hour solely based on their ethnicity, and when you are asking for the reason they refuse to hear any English words, which shows how open minded they are. Instead of focusing of people’s origin you’d rather put more effort in hiring a proper DJ since half the people who get in left before I finished writing my review.

Spindler & Klatt (restaurant, I didn't go to the club) is definitely a very cool place to go. It is surrounded by large tables with couch-like chairs. It is Asian-themed food but it isn't quite Japanese. The food was good, but not great, and the service DEFINITELY left something to be desired. I am always a good tipper, but I didn't leave any tip this night. Our waitress definitely ignored us, forgot things and even messed up our orders. There was another waitress that was serving the tables around us who sometimes helped us out. I would have tipped her, even, so I don't think it's every waitress. I wouldn't go out of your way to go here, but if you were already considering it, then I'd probably recommend it...especially if you're looking for a going-out-vibe.

Upscale place, especially for this part of Berlin. Beautiful patio outside with nice views of the Spree. Dinner is expensive and not bad but certainly nothing to write home about. Service was nice enough but difficult to reach. The club looks cool.... the DJ was good if you like popular house, R&B and pop in the mix (I don't) but the sound quality was horrible. We left for a "real" Berlin club almost immediately after dinner. Go here if you're looking to spend some money and are with friends who are not into Berlins underground clubbing style.

Just a regular club in my opinion. Doesn`t represent the Berlin nightlife spirit, more like a place you`d find pretty much everywhere. Prices are on the lower-to-average side. Music can be quite good, depending on the night (i`ve been there a few times and can safely say that they have nights when the music is awesome and some when it`s more like boring or too commercialized). If you have been to quite some places in Berlin and dont know what else to do, Spindler & Klatt is a safe choice.

Wir waren zu 21 Uhr im Club und hatten großes Glück mit unserem Tisch, es hatte eine große Truppe abgesagt. Reservierung!!! Schöne kleine Auswahl der Speisen, Preise dem Ambiente (siehe Foto) angepasst. Service war schnell und freundlich. Zu 0 Uhr wurden wir dann gebeten den Tisch zu räumen, da dann die Umgestaltung für das Nachtleben stattfand. Es füllte sich sehr schnell. Überwiegend junges Publikum(18-22), daher haben wir den Club mit der wunderschönen Aussicht so gegen 2 Uhr verlassen.

the service was beyond awful. they literally didn't have half the menu available. and kept coming out after we ordered to inform us of more things they didn't have. the server even suggested we should have been there hours before our reservation and that he wasn't sorry for them not having items. after all of that when we finally got our food they forgot meals for 2/10 people. the food was passable. nothing special.

Super location, but terrible service, not coordinated, not prepared for large groups, who are then not allowed to order the regular menu, but get a separate extremely limited menu. When I order a steak for 29 euros and have to pay the sides/sauce extra I expect to get a warm meal, but when you get a warm beer and have to wait an hour for a steak and the sauce never comes at all despite constant reminders and after a half an hour of waiting you eat your cold steak without anything, I think that is a huge waist of money. Have been here twice to eat and it was never that good and extremely slow! Never again.

Came here with a group of friends after midnight and it was so much fun! 5€ entry before 1am, 2€50 shots, two dance floors with electro top40 mash-ups on one, and latin/exotic dancing in the other. Flames on the big dance floor and just a fun, chill crowd. Don't need to dress up, smart casual is fine. Would love coming back here and dance til the sun comes up again!

I was very curious about Spindler & Klatt before we arrived as the reviews tended to be from people that either loved or hated the place. I guess this helped prepare me for the place and to make the most of it. I think most people would be hard pushed to argue that the place has a lot of style. A lot of money has been spent designing and creating a visually striking place with interesting, although not the best, views onto the Spree. The staff are equally well manicured and well turned out and greet you at the entrance with the air that you're entering an exclusive club. The toilets are housed in large metal cargo containers and the urinals in the gents contain copious quantities of ice. Image is king here. I personally was very happy with the food that I ordered; it tasted great and was nicely presented. Were the restaurant really let itself down though was in the service. The place was badly understaffed which resulted in difficulties in getting a waiter to take your drink orders and then a lengthy wait for it to be brought to the table. Bier drinking friends from Scotland were also greatly disappointed to see that only Carlberg was on offer. I got the impression that the place is desperate to attract the rich and the beautiful, neither of which categories I can claim to fall into, however with their terrible service and over the top attempt to be posh, it's more the nouveau riche and wannabes that are on display. I'm still happy to recommend the place as the view, food and ambience are worth the prices they charge, just get your drink orders in early so you don't go thirsty!

A great concept and a cool ambiance.. Have you ever dreamt of having your dinner on king size beds? Spindler&Klatt is a club which serves as a restaurant till midnight, then turns into a club, in a huge empty hangar like building next to river. I dont know what kind a club it turns into later. I would suggest to go there for a light dinner. Where to eat is full of king size beds where guests sit, lay.. whatever.. and enjoy their food and drinks. They have really good cocktails. The music is electro lounge music, everything is very stylish,.. from staff to the toilets. That's the place to take your guests to a dinner in an interesting elegant athmosphare. The approach to the club-restaurant is however a little scary. Especially at night on foot through dark streets in a seemingly industrial neighbourhood. But its surprising effect afterwards is also compatible. Reservation is a must and you have to be crowded enough if you want to be able to reserve a bed, otherwise you can sit around a table as well. If you are lucky you can also meet with any promotion event there. When we were there for example there was a popular coiffeur group. They were making hair for free in interesting punk styles for any of those who want. There was a queue of women, of course hehe. The prices are reasonable. Not expensive. I am absolutely impressed by this place.
