Spirit of the Knights Boutique Hotel

Elena is a wonderful hostess and nothing was too much for her. The room was warm and comfortable. The bed was divine and we slept so well, much better than in our own home! The breakfast was perfect. A superb introduction to Greece in general and Rhodes in particular.

Beautiful boutique hotel in Rhodes old town. Run by Theodoris and Elena who are amazing hosts. Lovely rooms with medieval furnishings indoors. Very comfortable bed. Delicious breakfast served in stunning shaded courtyard. Theodoris spent time with us talking about the history of Rhodes and gave us recommendations for attractions and restaurants. Elena booked our rental car and Theodoris drove us to the outskirts of the old town in his buggy to meet the car rental rep (old town is car free). Highly recommend staying here. Fabulous quiet location within short walking distance of all the attractions.

For me this was a fabulous place to stay. Close to everything but tucked away from the busy tourist areas and perfect to explore the old town. Our hosts Elena and Theo were just the best. We were picked up by Theo from the main road which is a must as it would be a challenge to navigate here with bags. The accommodation was terrific and the breakfasts were the best in our whole Greek stay. Our hosts couldn’t have been more helpful with any bookings and transfers. Can I give more stars?

We enjoyed our stay in the Spirit of the Knights. hotel. It has been tastefully refurbished and the hotel and courtyard garden are lovely. The breakfast choices and friendly service were fabulous. However, the very old TV in our room did not work. We complained three times but each time they said "they would check it" or "maybe we could change to a different room when it became available" but nothing was ever done. It's a small thing but it did feel a bit like nobody was taking responsibility for the issue. Also, the plunge pool was closed because it was end of season so it was dirty and unattractive. The menus need reprinting as they were dirty and shabby. Overall it was a good stay and we would recommend it but I felt perhaps that management were a bit jaded at the end of the season and needed a break.

An excellent family run boutique hotel set in the wonderful quiet part of Rhodes Old Town, we have stayed here a number of times and we love the place. The hotel is set in a beautifully restored 600 year old building, with a lovely garden, and 6 very comfortable and all very different rooms. An excellent a la carte breakfast is served in the courtyard/garden at whatever time suits your travel plans, and Elena and Theodore will organise anything that you require; tours, cruises, restaurant bookings, hire cars etc. The hotel now has a golf buggy for collection from the nearest taxi drop off points and to take you to the Rhodes Old Town cruise ports. |We would recommend this hotel without hesitation.

This hotel is perfect. Nestled deep down a side alley in old city, you are in the heart of the history yet completely private. The rooms are extraordinary: ours was two levels with a child getting her own loft. Everything was full of historic charm and immaculately modern at the same time. The service is beyond the bounds. A huge shout out to Theodore who made our trip so much better through is advice and help in making plans and reservations.|Also: they pick you up right at the gate to the city in a golf cart making your coming and going a breeze even with lots of luggage.

We stayed 4 nights at Spirit of the Knights and would loved to have stayed more. The boutique hotel is hidden away on a quiet street. The rooms were filled with antiques, and we had a huge comfortable bed in our suite. The bathroom was big and the shower was enjoyable with plenty of hot water. |We had an individually cooked delicious breakfast every morning in their beautiful courtyard. No buffet line here. |Eleanor and the staff could not have been more accommodating. On our last day, Eleanor arranged a private transfer to the Valley of the Butterflies and then straight to the airport. |We would absolutely stay here again. |Don’t miss this hidden gem.

Absolutely delightful boutique hotel. Eleanor is a charming host who met us at the taxi stop and helped us with our luggage. The old city is a labyrinthine fortress with little cobbled streets and our hotel was a beautiful haven from the busy tourist areas. The garden courtyard provided a lovely backdrop to enjoy breakfast under the trees and / or a drink under the stars. Eleanor recommended some fantastic restaurants and booked these for us. |We stayed in the pasha suite which is a large suite with a bedroom, a living space, bathroom and private hammam! This was pretty special. |Rhodes was the stand out experience of our trip and the hospitality at Spirit of the Knights was a major factor. We would absolutely stay here again!!
