Oliver Osoyoos Wine Country Destination Guide

"Set amid Canada’s only desert landscape with gently sloping vineyards, lake and mountain views, this adobe-style resort offers spacious suites with kitchens and cozy fireplaces (some pet-friendly), a full-service spa offering sacred mud wraps, an on-site golf course, and access to a cultural centre with multi-sensory exhibits; additional options on the property include a campground, RV park and lakeside cabins." - Carrie Honaker Carrie Honaker Carrie Honaker is a Florida-based writer who has hauled oyster cages off the Forgotten Coast of Florida, made Guavaberry Liqueur with a 7th generation distiller on St. Maarten, and stomped cacao pods in Grenada. Check-in wasn't quick. The hotel itself is in good condition and the rooms were clean and in good repair. You definitely get the indigenous feeling of the resort but the information/museum on-site really missed the mark with an extremely limited display for the size of the building. A real missed opportunity in showcasing indigenous history. The restaurant was very good. Food was delicious, arrived hot and the staff was very attentive to our table. The golf course was very well maintained and provided a spectacular view in all directions. Very good visit.

We loved our stay at Spirit Ridge Resort! It’s the perfect place for a getaway, offering great amenities and service. The spa was clean and reasonably priced, the adjacent golf course boasted impeccable greens, and the Nk'Mip Desert Cultural Centre provided a truly interactive experience we both thoroughly enjoyed. Even the resort restaurant delivered on great food, and we plan to return. A special shout-out to the staff for making our 3-night stay comfortable; they quickly and easily facilitated a room change due to noise from a wedding, which was much appreciated. We will definitely be back!

Spirit Ridge Resort, located on the Okanagan Indian Band reserve. What a beautiful vineyard and facility. Everyone was very hospitable and kind! I loved the restaurant, they allowed me to order a few dishes and brought them out like a tasting order and explained each dish. The Wine suggestions were amazing. The suite I stayed in (Chardonnay #7) was beautiful and I took full advantage of the outdoor tub, and soaked up the view every chance I got. What an amazing and healing experience for me that I needed. Thank you.

We traveled with our two dogs and were able to stay at the Spirit Ridge. It is a condo experience. Our first one bedroom was nice but tight for two people and two dogs. We were moved to a two bedroom and that was perfect! We didn't need the second bedroom but the living space was super. Pool opened early (I love a hot tub in the am while the sun rises) and it was adult only. They also had great family pool and play area with water slides. The beach was crazy busy but there was free shuttle down to it. The food was incredibly good. Both the breakfast and dinner. Service was superior and we really enjoyed our time there. They had small off leash area for pets as well as wonderful on leash walkability. Vineyard was a nice touch. The EV charger is a slow charger and guests were rude about not sharing or keeping it plugged in v just using it to top off when it was clearly busy. That, however, was not the resorts fault and there was a fast charger only 1/2 mile away.

We stayed at spirit ridge recently. We go to Osoyoos every year, but usually stay at one of the two other comparable hotels in the area. The issue was cleanliness of the room. Our bathroom was not very clean at check in. There was a clump of hair in the shower drain, and overall seemed like it needed a better clean. At check in they ask you if you want morning or afternoon housekeeping. We picked afternoon but never ended up getting housekeeping because by the time they came around it was after 4pm and we would be back in our room by then getting ready for dinner. When we called down for things like extra towels or pillows it would take over 30 minutes to get them. So overall we found cleaning and housekeeping services poor, especially when considering we were paying about $500 a night. The room was somewhat dated and could use a refresh. The resort itself is very nice. We really liked the adult pool which has a great view of the lake and excellent poolside service. Definitely a nice resort, we just expected more from the rooms given the cost.

We were thoroughly impressed with our stay here! The accommodations were spotless, tastefully decorated, and well-appointed with all the necessary amenities. While the hot tub was unfortunately out of commission, the outdoor pool was a wonderful alternative. The breakfast was included with our room, with each guest able to order one dish and one drink (not a buffet). The staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

Everywhere we went, the service was spectacular. The views are great, and endless wine to enjoy. Had an amazing vacation weekend here. Room was very spacious and relaxing, and the electric fireplaces were a nice addition. Highly recommend

Great accomodation, atmosphere, service and stay at the resort. The suites are absolutely perfect with spacing and what it offers. The pools get relatively busy (adult only and also an open pool for all ages). The beds and linen were one of the most comfortable I've ever had. The only small gripe were that the gyms very relatively small and limited - can get very packed! There are fountains and eucalyptus towels post workout though. Limited food options on site but with a suite you can bring your own food to make as well
