Spitakia Cottages bed & breakfast

Amazing natural place, great people! we felt at home the cottages are very well kept, clean and welcoming the breakfast is really delicious with local products George is the perfect host ...ask and follow him on his journeys around the island, he's a real treasure. Don’t miss this place!

We spent a wonderfully quiet and refreshing week at Spitakia Cottages in Avgonima. The village in winter was heavenly, I look forward to returning in early spring. Our host George was extremely welcoming and helpful. Many thanks.

We enjoyed a great week staying in Spitakia 3. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable and very well equipped with a really nice shower room and small kitchenette upstairs with access to a small roof terrace with amazing views over the coast. George, our host, was very welcoming and gave us lots of information about Chios and places to visit, best beaches etc and provided an excellent breakfast. On a couple of days George also accompanied us on walks, firstly a great walk to the deserted village of Avantos and then also a tour of the Kampos area and passed on lots of interesting information on both. Avgonyma is a very attractive and quiet village with three restaurants and a cafe, all of which were good, our favourite being To Asteri, great food and amazing sunset views. A great location for exploring the central and northern areas of Chios.

The best place to stay in Chios, if you like peaceful places! Beautiful traditional cottages, renovated with absolute respect to traditional architecture. As well, Mr George-the owner is amazing guy, very friendly and helpful, with a lot of deep knowledge for his island! We look forward for the next time!

Room was very cozy. The owner was so helpful. It felt like visiting an old friend! Would definitely recommend.

If you like to experience village style accommodation along with great hospitality, don’t go anywhere. George is an excellent host… I only stay here… and will stay here…
