I just really love Mediterranean food

Loved everything we ordered - the Berliner bowl was especially delicious. Highly recommend the beef/lamb combo for your meat choice. It upgrades any dish to flavortown!

Google
Really good casual Mediterranean, kinda pricey once you add on an appetizer/side. I got the bowl and fries.. my husband got the wrap.. the fries were really good. Portions were fair. We are spoiled coming from a place where there was an abundance of Mediterranean for low prices so that’s why we complain about Spitz being on the higher side but beggars can’t be choosers.

Garrett Sinclair

Google
The street car fries are absolutely amazing. We go to Spitz at least a couple times a month. The fries are so good and the meat and sauce is right on point. I will say I think I like the regular fries more than the sweet potato fries. But they are both still so good. So many flavors on the plate and they all work so well together. I highly recommend going to Spitz if you have not.

Google
Delicious Spot with Great Service We stopped by Spitz and had an awesome experience. The staff was super kind, the food was fresh and flavorful, and the whole vibe was really laid-back. We ordered the gyros and they did not disappoint, packed with flavor and perfectly made. If we ever find ourselves in Utah again, we’d definitely come back. Great food, great people, and a super easy dining experience.

Google
They seem to majorly skimp on meat portions on busy days. Don’t go on Sundays. On days when they make it right it’s absolutely delicious. 3 stars for the inconsistency. Every time I go it’s a guessing game of if it’ll be made correct with right portions or not.

Google
I loved Spitz when I was visiting from out of town. The staff is amazing and the food is even better! It was all so delicious, flavorful and packed full of my favorite veg!

Google
Visiting from NY and stopped in for some eats. Good vibe, great service. Family Got a donner wrap , classic chicken gyro, Cole salad bowls and we all loved it. It’s very casual, they have alcohol, sodas , plenty of water. Walking distance from hotel. Would definitely return !

Google
My husband found a piece of steel wool in his to-go chicken remix bowl. This is really disappointing because we love Spitz.

Yelp
Spitz delivers bold flavors, fast service, and a vibe that makes you want to stay for one more round (or two). I stopped in for a quick bite and was totally blown away. The star of my meal? The Street Cart Fries. Imagine a decadent pile of crispy sweet and regular potato waffle fries loaded with Mediterranean magic--feta, olives, onions, pepperoncini, a drizzle of creamy house sauce, and fresh herbs tying it all together. Every bite was a texture and flavor bomb--salty, spicy, tangy, crunchy. Absolutely addictive. Their draft selection features local picks that complements the food, not just fill the menu. I went with Kiitos Blackberry Sour - tart, refreshing, and the perfect match for all the richness on the tray. For hydration they even have a few different infused water options that just go so well with overall casual, colorful and energetic vibe of the place. Oh and trying all the sauces is another must!

Yelp
Spitz used to be my favorite place. Everything was on point and so tasty. Now it is fine. Food is okay, flavored water was a weird combo. Parking is confusing (can you park in the Sugarhouse Commons lot?!?! Who knows.) They do have a lovely outdoor area, which is always a plus. I don't know if the Spitz of yesteryear was real or has inflated in my memories.

Yelp
We recently moved out of Utah and when visiting last week this is the first place we went when we got off the plane. Spitz has been a favorite for years. The food is solid and the portions are great. I love that they have great outdoor seating as well. You can tell this place is constantly improving how they serve and it makes all the difference. The last time we went in the staff was friendly. The restaurant itself is fun and upbeat. We love Spitz and recommend it to everyone we know!

Yelp
Fun casual date night tonight!! A lot has improved since my last review, so I wanted to update. We dined in for the first time in a while, which I think made a huge difference! I had a refreshing beer and the Gluten Free Street Cart fries, which I've wanted to try for a while. They were delicious! My husband got the Vegetarian Remix Bowl, which he also enjoyed!! Even though it was a very busy Saturday night, the service was excellent!! There were a lot of to-go orders plus all those who dined in. Everything seemed very efficient. Will need to come more often!

Yelp
While visiting SLC Utah for a work trip we enjoyed a delicious dinner at Spitz. The restaurant was super cute and the food was amazing! The employees were friendly and the food came out in a timely manner. I would definitely go back to Spitz again and highly recommend if you are in the area.

Yelp
I'm not a big fan of Mediterranean food, but this place is delicious. I had the Berliner Bowl and it was pretty good, and balanced with the quinoa and veggies. I got an extra side of chili sauce, and that had a good spicy kick to it, though it reminded me of Mexican Valentina sauce lol.

Yelp
This places food is amazing! Came here because pictures online looked amazing and the food matched the photo quality. Everything was fresh, flavorful and presentable. The only draw back I had was the falafel was a little drier then I'm use to but with a little sauce on it , it fixed that. Food came out pretty fast hot and fresh! Only thing that was confusing was when we walked in couldn't tell if it was full service or order at the register. Then when we ordered we didn't know to take the number so we sat down confused. Only got our kombucha not our water right away. Other then that, Service was great! The girl who took our order helped us get our loaded fries mixed when we were stuck between regular or sweet potato. I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Fantastic. My one regret in life may be not coming here sooner! The food was absolutely packed full of delicious on so many levels. I got the doquitos while my friends got gyros. You could tell everything was fresh and the fries? Amazing. Seasoned so perfectly and had the perfect texture. Calories for everything? Maybe don't think about that part though. I also love the aesthetic. They support local artists and you can tell they've left their mark on the place. I also loved the cute little sticker vending coin turner thing so that you can even support local art. The staff was also very chill, nice and attentive. They bring the food to you and make sure you have everything you need. I hope everyone has this experience and gives this place a try. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
This place understands that food porn can look good and taste even better. It's been a while since I've been at Spitz and I was amazed at the freshness, quality, and demonstration. We got the street fries and Mady bowl. The street fries are so tasty, especially if you get regular and sweet potato fries to mix it up. We had lamb and beef on top. I love all the cheese and the sauces and everything goes together really well. The media is good, with lots of good hummus and great sauce. Nice to eat outside, and the service was very kind, and FOOD!!!! was quite quickly served to us. .

Yelp
I love getting Spitz when I'm in the mood for Mediterranean food. My favorites are their Gyro and Berliner Fries. They don't skimp on the meat at all and everything tastes very fresh. Their fries are also insanely crispy and the portions are massive. A gyro or wrap is usually two meals for me, and when I order the fries it's to share. The service has always been great and very quick. I usually order online for pickup, but the one time I ate there my food came out less than five minutes after ordering. There's free street parking right outside. I definitely recommend giving Spitz a try!
google avatar

Channing M.

Yelp
It's a decent spot for some quick and dirty Mediterranean food. The Donner basket gives you a bit of everything. The food is good but even having dined in sometimes it is not hot which begs me to question how long it sits out before being served. Come in do NOT order pick. up as things can get mixed up on the phone and on Door Dash.
google avatar

Christian E.

Yelp
Good service. Just genuinely my least favorite restaurant I've ever eaten at. Don't care for anything on their menu.
google avatar

Maureen W.

Yelp
Spitz is a great Mediterranean/greek chain in Utah. I wish there was one closer to where I live. The gyro, the loaded fries, the wraps, and salads are all delish!!! I have never had anything not good here. The service is great, love that they have adult drinks too and the place looks great. My son wanted to stop for dinner this week and it hit the spot and then some. I always forget just how good it is and always want to come back for more.
google avatar

Brandon Z.

Yelp
This is an Uber Eats review as I didn't visit the restaurant nor meet with the servers. The food delivered was great. Ordered the Berliner with Falafel. Worked late one night and didn't feel like seeking what restaurants are open to visit. The delivery was fine. Taste was very good. I'd highly recommend doing this if you're not sure what to eat and don't feel like going anywhere. Reasonably priced, too.
google avatar

Kristy A.

Yelp
I tried the Berliner bowl, and it was really tasty! I enjoyed the sauces on it, the fresh veggies. The feta . The dill quinoa and the lavish strips. The serving size was good and easily two meals. The only item I wasn't a huge fan of was the chicken. I'm not sure if it was actually chicken it may have been the lamb option or something. (Or dark meat chicken just done a different way). It was odd and had a sour-like, gamey taste. So, if I ignore the meat option, it was pretty good, and I would try Spitz again. I also had a falafel ball with hummus. That was really good!

Yelp
This is my OG spitz location and it's always been my favorite! Although the employees change a lot, everyone is always nice and the food is very consistent which means management is on point. Anything you order from here will be good and the drinks are delicious. It is a little pricey so I consider it a treat for myself. It's in a fun location and the ambiance inside is unique. Everything is always clean.
google avatar

Corey R.

Yelp
Delicious food! Big serving definitely gets your moneys worth. Fun environment didn't get any drinks but cool they have a full bar.
google avatar

Missy M.

Yelp
I love Spitz! My favorite menu items are the sweet potato fries, zesty feta wrap and the Berliner bowl. The restaurant has such a fun vibe and interesting lighting. I love how they have board games you can play while you eat but they usually are missing pieces. My kids are always entertained with the games. The service is great here as well. This Spitz is in the heart of Sugarhouse but you have to park in the lot down the road from the restaurant.

Yelp
Spitz had the best French fries in town! Every fry is crispy and seasoned perfectly. Their garlic aioli is delectable, creamy and bursting with flavor. The wraps are consistently flavored and have a delightful texture with a mix of veggies and meat. If you're a vegetarian or vegan, this place is perfect for you! They have many vegetarian and some vegan options. They serve beer and alcohol, and they have drink specials, too! The service is exceptional. You will go up to the counter to order, and the employees are competent, fast, polite, and helpful. The ambiance is casual but hip. They have unique, long tables for at least 20 people to sit. The place is clean but busy, and you will clean up after yourself by throwing away your trash and taking your tray to the designated location by the door. There are condiments and boxes to grab for yourself up toward the far left side of the counter. I would highly recommend this place to people of all ages! It is expensive, but it is worth the price.

Hannah R.

Yelp
They forgot items in my order, were very rude and did not believe me when I told them it wasn't in my bag. Service was terrible, do not go to this location!!
google avatar

Summer O.

Yelp
Donner dinner party themed menu in this fast slow-food cafe. Order at the register and find a seat. They delivery to you and they will also bus your table. Alcohol is available but kids are welcome, this is not a bar. The restaurant is small and most tables are share-style. There is a patio when the weather is warmer. Very Mediterranean with their fries on each meal, Tzatziki, lamb, and flavor profile. Even my kids said it reminded them of Greece and Israel. We overhear our table mates saying this is their go to when guest come to town. I can see that - the atmosphere of the place is casual, the menu is specific and tasty, and the service was fast.
google avatar

Holly N.

Yelp
Our neighborhood go-to for a good, fast meal. Love the ambiance, outdoor seating, flavored water, and available games. The alcoholic choices are excellent, and you'll always get plenty of food to fill you up.
google avatar

Bonnie B.

Yelp
I have to start this review out by saying that spitz has some of the best fries and the best dipping sauces in the area. Both in person and take out their fries are amazing. I was less impressed by the Gyro. I've had the wraps before with no complaints but the pita on the gyro was so dry and crusty. Overall love spitz, but I don't know that I will be getting the gyro again.

Ron T.

Yelp
I remember the food being better with larger portions. I will pay higher dollar amounts for quality food however for this cost, it wasn't worth it
google avatar

Erik D.

Yelp
Excellent service and the Berliner bowl compared to the excellent experience I had at the Spitz Lehi location. The bowl was made super quick, and I love that I can ask for as many extra sauce as I need. This location is a little more cramped than lehi and less open, other than this, a great spot to dine!

Amy M.

Yelp
We are visiting SLC and my daughter brought us here for lunch. Cozy, cute interior with lots of stickers and flyers on the walls. There are 3 or 4 long, high top tables meant to be shared or for large parties with a few smaller tables. It's quite a tight space. We ordered a zesty getaway wrap, medi bowl, a donner salad and fries. The ingredients were all so fresh and crunchy. Everything was amazing. The crunchy garbanzos were so good. We had chicken in the wrap, falafel in the medi bowl and beef in the dinner bowl. Even the fries were special! Fried and seasoned perfectly with a yummy dippy sauce. I'd go back for dinner tonight if I could. Excellent food and service

Paige M.

Yelp
Everything! I love Spitz in general, but we always stop at the SugarHouse location when we're in SLC. Consistent, great food. Clean and fun atmosphere. Great customer service. Love it!

Karah G.

Yelp
Food was ordered To-go and came cold fries were the worst crunchy and no flavor the wrap was okay not anything to write home about.

Yelp
Where to start I went to this place thinking that it would be similar to all the other Mediterranean joints. I was not expecting all my food to be mixed and sort of set up weird. I was thinking my fries would be separated and I ended up getting a bowl filled to the rim with mostly veggies now I like veggies but I was looking forward to meat and fries. I maybe got 5 sliced or meat and it was not chicken which I ordered and I just can't describe how all the ingredients went together. The place was decorated nicely and the bathrooms were really decorated with the theme of the place. We did get a lot of help once we entered and sort of got a guide to what people order. Plenty of seating and a we did not wait very long for our food. All in all it was an ok joint if you're on a diet lol me I have curves and need FOOD haha so I am not ashamed to say the food didn't hit the spot. Parking is along the road btw so that is a hit or miss.

Yelp
Spitz is one of my go to's for healthy Mediterranean type style food it hasn't been open longer than somewhere between now and 10 months ago perhaps. There is a second location downtown I've never actually eaten at that location but I probably will now that it's so easily accessible! Fun style and vibe of the place. The drinks are amazing I've had the sangria and loved it. I also loved a Moscow mule I had by them as well. Excited to check out the other locations!! :D

Kevin R.

Yelp
always top notch! Ordering online for pickup is incredibly easy. Quality is always consistent and flavors are perfect. Hits the spot every time.
google avatar

Jason K.

Yelp
Great quality food. Excellent selection with a wide variety. Darwin and Luna were very accommodating of allergies and the music was a great addition. Tons of seating.
google avatar

Ashley P.

Yelp
After driving by this daily I finally stopped in and gave it a try! I was a big fan of the wrap! It was really filling, but still felt light because it was loaded with some veggies. The sweet potato fries were delicious, and the sauce that came with the fries was the perfect. The staff working was also friendly and our food came out quick! Will definitely be back!

Meg A.

Yelp
Food was very overcooked. Not like it usually is. It was a pick up order so not sure why that would be the case. I love the food here but it just was not up to snuff.

Lisa C.

Yelp
Delicious bowls. Everything tasted so fresh! Great friendly service too!! I would definitely come back here the next time I'm in Salt Lake City.
google avatar

Timmy D.

Yelp
I love the Street Cart Doner Wrap with a side of Pita Strips and Hummus. (Highly recommended) The beef and lamb protein is the way to go when selecting a protein. They are loaded with vegetables that gives you fresh and healthy vibes, so it's perfect for lunch or dinner. The tzatziki sauce just brings everything together and is delicious. The pita strips and hummus are a must. They always come out hot, crispy, and fluffy on the inside. A unique side dish/appetizer here In Utah. Environment: - Beer on tap - Plenty of Open seating: indoor and outdoor (shaded)

Nathan S.

Yelp
Best Mediterranean I've ever had! Service was great! Only question is when they're coming to San Diego County?
google avatar

Maria M.

Yelp
I love Mediterranean food, but this is more like the tex mex of Mediterranean food. They add fries to everything and the service has been sub par anytime we visit with something missing on our order. Their app is super hard to use, also. The portions are large on the sandwiches and bowls. The side of falafel is a joke, though. It comes with one piece of falafel and a ton of hummus. The falafel is tough and tastes like the batter was beat for far too long. I recommend getting a bowl if you go here. I gave an extra star for the infused self serve water and clean lobby. Probably won't return.
google avatar

Tyler S.

Yelp
everything about spitz is inconsistent-- you will always get something different every time you go, even if you order the same thing every time. some days, the food might be fresh and warm; others, stale and cold. the sauces taste different each day. portion size is never consistent, which is so odd to me. as far as vibes go, all the restaurants are basically the same, which makes the inconsistencies more bizarre. ultimately, i paid nearly $40 for a side salad and fries, despite the fact that i ordered a full sized salad, and a large fry........ i gave it many chances and i'm tired of being disappointed. i won't be coming back, though; you do not have to worry about me beloved.
google avatar

Chimene M.

Yelp
These folks were AMAZING yesterday. I called with less than 24 hours' notice and a catering order for 24 people. Between my first call and the time of delivery the next day, I needed to make changes three times. Not that I would recommend anyone do this...but the staff at Spitz Sugarhouse were SO KIND and so accommodating. They were right on time, right location (after a couple changes) ... the order was perfect. Everything was perfect. Thank you all so much for being so accommodating and on short notice. The lunch was a huge success and eveyrone loved the food!
google avatar

Tahs L.

Yelp
This place is so great. I always love a good vegetable bowl and I love the sauces that go with their food here. It came out pretty quick with how went people were there as well. They had a ton of options and I liked how there were gluten free and vegan options as well. Defiantly try the sweet potato fry's too if you decide to come here.
google avatar

Grace M.

Yelp
I love the falafel here!! Super cute inside and the outside space at this location is great too. Thanks for everyone who made my food and took my order.

Mala G.

Yelp
Amazing service and delicious, flavorful and fresh food. Definitely would come here again. Loved the infused water choices Rosemary & Strawberry, Mint & Lime.

Yelp
Just landed from the airport and need a spot to eat. Didn't realize that a lot of places close quite early. Got this recommendation from a lady at the car rental area. Called the spot and asked them if it was okay to come in since it was almost closing time. My guy came said come on down. We headed there and it seemed in the middle of town and there are a few bars located near by. The location has street parking (free on weekend) or a paid parking garage ($10) The spot has artistic chalk board lettering, pop punk era graffiti art and listings of local music artists playing inside. Tables vary of height and there is even a outside area (outside has that date vibe) we ordered "the gyro" w/ beef and lamb and the garlic wrap w/ mixed meat. I don't know if I was just tired of the airplane food or just hungry but they food was really good. Ingredients like the banana pepper and cheese gave color to the taste. I would give it a 4.2789/5 stars. Wished i ordered more food.
google avatar

Dynasty Y.

Yelp
This place was cute. The service was friendly and fast. We ordered a couple of drinks and a couple of Doner wraps both with the beef/lamb meat with FF and sweet potato fries. The Berliner Doner was good it was flavorful and big. The Zesty Feta Doner lived up to its name. I liked the pepperoncinis. The Tzatziki is yummy. The Lavash is very nice. The fries were good but i preferred the sweet potato fries. They both came with a bbq/fry sauce. We liked the sauce. Next time I want to try there Doquitos.

Yelp
Came here tonight for dinner. Interesting area with some businesses and a few restaurants and bars tucked back here behind the Sugar House Whole Foods area. Was kinda grossed out by the cashier sucking his snot back into his nose when he was ringing me up. They also don't let you insert or swipe your own card, which meant that he had to touch my card while continuing to suck snot back up his nose. I wanted to give him a Kleenex. I ordered a Mediterranean wrap with the free spicy upgrade. When I got home, I opened up the bag and started to unwrap a half of the wrap. The thick brown paper surrounding my wrap looked gross and old, but I was still willing to give this place a chance. The wrap itself was pretty decent, but not too much protein. It was mostly the slaw inside. The wrap fell apart since the brown paper was tucked in on the bottom like someone shoved their finger in there. When you finally get it out of the thick, brown waxed paper substance, the lavash type bread is falling apart, and you have to get a plate to eat this with a fork. At least the wrap is a little less expensive than their bowls. Just open it over a salad bowl at home and it's basically the same thing with some crumbly pieces of bread added to the mix!
google avatar

Bekah C.

Yelp
I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this place. The food is mouthwatering good, always. The moment you walk through the doors and smell the distinctive and uniquely Mediterranean aroma, you'll know you've made the right decision. My top three favorite menu items are the doner salad, the Mediterranean doner wrap, and street cart fries made "the works" style. They're hard to beat! DONER SALAD: it's a hearty salad that won't leave you feeling hungry. So many flavors and textures in ever bite. I personally love it with the lemon-herb tahini dressing and an extra helping of tzatziki. MEDITERRANEAN DONER: This wrap has all of my favorite things included in the salad but rolled in a well-baked flatbread. If you're looking for an introductory doner, give this one a try. STREET CART FRIES: Holy hell. These things are dangerously delicious. They're famous for a reason...you NEED to order these every time you go. (Be ready to share--our group of four struggles to polish off the basket because they're so hearty.)  If you're looking for a new favorite food establishment, get your butt over to Spitz immediately. It reminds us of what good food is supposed to taste like.
google avatar

Todd S.

Yelp
Great spot for lunch, drinks, or both. Spent a lot of time here with work team members. Great good service and atmosphere in a great nook of Sugarhouse. Go for the Donor bowl!

Rylee B.

Yelp
I love Spitz and have been to this location and their little cottonwood location, I prefer the little cottonwood location but the food here was still delicious. It was very crowded when I went but the service was friendly and fast. I got the doner basket with falafel, it was delicious but the falafel was nothing special. I also got a glass of their seasona sangria which I enjoyed. I like the sauce choices at the other location. I enjoy how many vegan options they have at this restaurant. We ate outside on their patio, it was super cute. Overall a good experience and will keep coming back to Spitz.
