Splendid Hotel

The hotel was in a great location but the rooms were smaller than expected. On the plus side, the hotel is within walking distance to old town, but not in old town so the location is less touristy. There are restaurants around the corner from the hotel. Our room was smaller than expected. I made a reservation for Deluxe Room - 1 double bed, terrace overlooking lake. There are pictures of the deluxe room on the hotel's website that differed than the room we got. We ended up with a much smaller room with an entrance way that although useful, we would have preferred the bigger room. We were street side which was noisy at times. We had a balcony but the divider was not completely private. We could hear and see our neighbors. Overall, we liked our stay but with a few negatives.

USA traveler stayed here for 2 nights. I'll give you a very non bias review. If you want the Ritz Carlton then book the Ritz Carlton. The price and location for this hotel is amazing. My experience with the staff was also amazing, everyone went out of their way. For any American travelers book it. Loved my stay

3 star hotel at best. No amenities: no room service, no restaurant (for lunch or dinner), no mini bar, no valet, but a great location. Beds were comfortable, rooms were clean but tiny as are most European hotels with exception to hotels we stayed in, in Germany. Definitely not comparable to Marriott or Hilton standards!

We paid extra for a Lake View room and ended up with a tree view room (see photo). I asked the front desk woman and she said the room is a lakeside view. This is very misleading because my hotel confirmation clearly states the room is a lake view room . The room was decent with a patio but housekeeping never changed the sheets and left dirty towels in the bathroom. The best part of the hotel is the location. It’s a short walk to Old Town Annecy and the lake. The 22 euros breakfast was basic with some fruits, bread, and cheeses. However, the server was always friendly and she helped make the breakfast more enjoyable. If you want a hotel with a great location then this hotel will work but your lake view will not be Splendid !

We are here on a short city trip with our 14yr old daughter. The hotel is extremely central and opposite the lake which is a bonus, everything from shops, cafes and bars are within reach easily and within minutes. |We arrived from Geneva on a blabla bus and the hotel is only a short walk from bus/train station. |Upon arrival the staff are smiling and welcoming. The room was nice (sofa bed for 14 yr old was very comfy). Small fridge for items like water and beer we bought from a supermarket across the corner. Bathroom Grohe shower was lovely and clean with plenty of hot water. The rooms have hair dryers, shampoo and body was abs irons on request for those like us who flew with hand luggage only. There is a bar too which is nice for a drink before you head out into the centre!|We booked a boat trip on the lake (petrol boat 70 euros for an hour) and it was the highlight of our trip, since the weather was hot we went out at 10am as the lake wasn’t overcrowded and there was a nice cool breeze (they do ask for ID so do take something with ur pic on it eg drivers licence or passport). There are also options of pedal boats etc but we wanted to save our legs and go far out onto the lake for a swim!|Annecy if absolutely beautiful and your stay here at the Splendid will only add to that experience it was a lovely hotel.

The hotel is perfect for long and short stay Its located in the middle and at the lake which is perfect to walk everywhere at all directions to the old town The staff at the reception as well as the house keeping are extremely nice and helpful The hotel is clean and well maintained There is an elevator which make it easy to move the luggages. The Room is good size for single but may be tight for a couple! There was a small balcony on the lake side in my room which i liked The cleaning is done daily until 3 pm so it’s good to know that before arrival. There is a coffee machine and the fridge is full of soda, water, and snacks free for the guests which was a nice gesture! The products used for the toilet is attached to the wall, its a very good and luxuries product which gives a spa feeling The only thing for the toilet set up and the decoration need to be updated as well as the carpet in room Otherwise i would choose this hotel if I come back to annecy in the future!

The staff makes this an excellent and welcoming hotel! The rooms are spacious and clean, and the front desk and bar employees were attentive and helpful. We really enjoyed the breakfast in the morning and the great location near the water. Also, parking our car was easy and affordable.

A lovely hotel in an excellent location, within walking distance of the railway station and restaurants. Would recommend paying the extra for breakfast an amazing choice every day. The hotel had a welcoming and friendly vibe. Every member of staff was very professional. One small issue with the air conditioning in our room was soon rectified. Special thanks to Thierry on reception and staff at breakfast. We had a room at the back of the hotel which was very quiet. Would recommend this hotel.

Situated just across the street from the lake, this charming boutique hotel in Annecy impressed with its clean and surprisingly spacious rooms, especially by European standards. The thoughtful amenities provided added to the overall positive experience. I highly recommend staying here!

Excellent location right next to a large park and the waterfront and one block from the pedestrian only area with restaurants and shops. Staff was great, room was nicely appointed and very clean. Hotel was extremely helpful in picking out great restaurants nearby as well as suggesting bike rentals and boat rentals.

Absolutely loved Hotel Splendid - central, a really great breakfast, a very cosy room and right opposite the stunning lake. We just stayed for one night but I would not hesitate to stay again. They do not have parking but it was no problem to find a carpark a short distance away. The gentleman on reception could not have been more charming and helpful. Loved it!

Admittedly, this will be an odd review as I in fact did not stay here. BUT!! Jerome helped my parents and I immensely on a Saturday night trying to find a cab; providing us maps, numbers, directions, only for him to run out and spot a magical taxi for us. Mind you, we were NOT patrons of the hotel. That level of hospitality and service is quite rare and I can only imagine it translates to the rest of the hotel. I'm now sad we did not stay here. Jerome was our little Saturday night savior :)
