Built in 1908, the hotel is living history, with elegant architecture and a charming atmosphere that sets it apart from modern resorts.||We stayed in a suite, which was a bit of an investment but absolutely worth it for the comfort, spaciousness, and unique character of the room. Breakfast was excellent, with a generous selection of fresh and delicious options.||The staff were professional, attentive, and always ready to assist. Relaxing by the pool was another highlight, with well-kept facilities and a calm, inviting atmosphere. Evening on the front porch was unforgettable — enjoying a drink while looking out across the channel at the city lights is an experience not to be missed.||If you are visiting Büyükada, the Splendid Palace Hotel offers more than accommodation; it offers a step into the island’s history, combined with warm hospitality and outstanding service. Highly recommended.

Splendid Hotel on Büyükada offers a truly mystical and romantic experience, with its beautifully preserved historical charm. On the ground floor, you’ll find the Splendid Patisserie, where you absolutely must try the profiterole before leaving. Easily reachable by ferry from Istanbul, Büyükada is a perfect spot for a short weekend escape. While here, don’t miss the chance to explore the island by bike or on foot, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere and feeling as if you’re living the island life. In the evening, also known as the Prince’s Island, Büyükada offers lively entertainment venues where you can experience both joy and nostalgia in equal measure.

Stayed at the Splendid Palace Hotel on Büyükada and loved it. The building itself is historic (1908) and has so much character. We booked a suite — a bit pricey but worth every bit for the comfort and views. Breakfast was delicious, the pool was relaxing, and the staff couldn’t have been more attentive. A highlight was sitting on the front porch in the evening and at breakfast, with sweeping views across the water to the city. A beautiful mix of history, relaxation, and great service. Definitely recommend if you’re planning a visit to the island.

The manager of this hotel is extremely rude. Today we were visiting Büyükada and stopped for a coffee downstairs. I politely asked the security guard at the entrance if it would be possible to go inside and take a look at the first floor. Instead of showing any courtesy or asking what I needed, the manager abruptly replied “Yasak” (“forbidden”). His attitude made me feel as if I were asking for charity rather than showing genuine interest in the hotel. We had been considering booking a stay here for the upcoming weekend, but after such unprofessional treatment, I would much rather choose another hotel. It is a real pity, because the building itself is historical and beautiful, but the staff’s behavior completely ruins the impression.

The interiors are refreshed with light renovations every year, so the rooms always feel clean, bright, and well-kept without losing their original character. The hotel features a beautiful saltwater pool with a bar — perfect for lazy afternoons — as well as its own restaurant and an in-house patisserie that serves fresh, delightful pastries each morning😍 If you’re looking for peace, atmosphere, and a touch of old-world glamour, Splendid is the place to be. A rare blend of heritage and hospitality on the Princes’ Islands. Highly recommend🙌🏼

Waitress Sude does not fulfill her duties. We booked a table, the employee forgot to write it down. Sude started lying that she did not know when the guests would arrive, while she had a sheet with a schedule in her hands. All the tables were empty, but they did not seat anyone. It is a pity that such a beautiful hotel has such bad service

Having stayed here twice before, and having thoroughly enjoyed my stays, I decided to host a celebratory meal for my graduation at Splendid Palace. The food was delicious, the atmosphere exuded elegance, and the service was attentive and friendly. 🤍
