Splendida Palace

From the warm welcome when we arrived through to our departure the hospitality was superb. The accommodation was very well located for exploring Split, clean and very comfortable and the served buffet breakfast was delicious. The only reason we have delayed posting a review is because my husband was taken seriously ill on the next leg of our holiday and we have only now returned to some sort of normality. The memory of this hotel is however one of the best of our trip.

We had a fantastic experience at the Splendida Palace! It’s super conveniently located, right near the Diocletian Palace. The room was immaculate and very comfortable. The staff were extraordinarily friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The breakfast was incredible— delicious ious breads, fruits, crepes, juices, eggs made to order and excellent coffee. Our best experience in Croatia, and we stayed in some very nice hotels!

Out of the 3 hotels we stayed at in 3 different cities in Croatia, this was by far the best. We have never been treated so well- they are not wrong when they say you are treated like a jewel. Our room was clean and comfortable. The service was absolutely spectacular, and the location was perfect and just a short walk to everything. Every morning we had the most wonderful breakfast and the staff remembered how we liked our coffee and brought it right to us. When we first arrived the staff welcomed us with a special drink, and walked us through a map of the city and everyhting they recommended. I cannot recommend it here enough!

Lovely hotel, just outside of Diocletian's Palace (5 minute walk). The house was a traditional stone house which was refurbished recently and it is very beautiful with elegant, well furnished rooms. It has a small courtyard at the back with a small plunge pool but as it was 5 foot deep it was really refreshing on a hot day. The breakfasts were good and plentiful. Maria, the manager, was so friendly and helpful. She gave us lots of information on the town and recommended and booked us 2 restaurants. She arranged our taxi back to the airport, which did turn up a little late due to rain, and she even offered to take us to the airport herself if the taxi didn't turn up. But it was fine and Maria called us on our journey to make sure that we were under way. On our last day she brought out to the courtyard, a complimentary bottle wine. Really superb customer service. Happy to say we really enjoyed our stay at the Splendida.

We enjoyed our brief stay at this b and b. |The entire staff was welcoming and would do anything to help you. |The suggestions were all perfect from sites to see, to gelato, to dinner. |Room was extremely quiet. We thought we were the only guests, went to breakfast and the b and b seemed full! Never heard anyone. |Room was spotless. Balcony was roomy. Room was spacious. Bed was very comfortable. Shower had great water pressure and hot water! |Location convenient to historic area, but quiet. We enjoyed visiting the old town after the cruise ships left. When it was time to leave, we were able to walk to bus station. |As you can tell, we enjoyed our time here.

The hotel arranged for a transfer from the Dubrovnik airport which is 3 1/2 hours away. The transport went by a few sites and delivered us directly to the hotel which is on a narrow street very close to the Diocletian Palace. Mikhaila gave us valuable information about restaurants, grocery, banks, sites to see and mapped them out for us. Maria provided us with breakfast the next morning when it seemed the entire hotel came to breakfast at the same time and she did not falter. The breakfast was special and beautifully served. She also makes a great Aperol Spritz. I love this cozy and homey type hotel. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at Splendida Palace for the first 5 nights of our Croatian honeymoon. Marija and the team went above and beyond for us. Providing great recommendations and being so attentive. The location is ideal, a few minutes walk to Diocletian's Palace and the busy centre but still nice and quiet to sleep at night. Spotlessly clean and really kind to our tour guides and transfer drivers. Perfect. Booked via Unforgettable Travel Company.

Hotel is in a perfect location, really cosy and clean. Marija is a shining star that need a raise. We have never been treated so good in a hotel before and we have travelled a lot. If we go back to Croatia someday this will be our number one choice!
