This place was insane. For such a small space, it really packed a punch. Gorgeous area with lots of rock structures and even a waterfall. Right in the creek (or river?). I had site 31, which was a great site for tent or car camping. The sites are relatively close here, so you hear your neigbors pretty well. Also, right on the train tracks, this helped me sleep but others might feel differently. Devils gulch was equally as beautiful. Would recommend.

Great little gem of a park in a gem of a little SoDak town. Perfect for kayaking, fishing, enjoying nature, or just relaxing. Make it a stop as it is also close to Devil's Gulch and the beautiful Palisades State Park.

A great park to visit or camp at with beautiful natural features. There is also a playground, visitor center, gift shop, pontoon rides to explore the river and kayak rentals from time to time.

It's worth the paddle!!!! One really cool thing that really stuck with us, was how the waterade the rocks "talk", we believe it's the small caverns that made the rocks make a popping sound... We just floated and listened to them, that was the most fantastic part of the day! Thank you for such a beautiful place...

Beautiful park with RV and tent camping right next to Split Rock Creek dam and reservoir. Great for kayaking and canoeing. Beautiful scenery and waterfall over the dam.

Lots of camping spots and picnic areas. There were several people visiting when we came and everyone was very friendly. They had a small gift shop by the dam. I wasn't thrilled with the outhouse bathroom but it is what it is. Also, the train did come past while we were there and it was a bit noisy so something to keep in mind if that would be something that bothers you. We loved our visit and took a lot of pictures. I also enjoyed the boat tour which I do recommend.
