The 15 Best Boutique Hotels in Colorado to Book in 2023 - AFAR

"A 2019 renovation of a 1955 motel created a bright, utility-focused stay in Palisade’s wine country: comfortable rooms, a dog-friendly vibe, and wine-focused conveniences such as a welcome glass of Grand Valley vino at check-in and a locally stocked motel bar. On-site bike rentals with baskets make it easy to pedal between vineyards and nearby tasting rooms." - Bailey Berg, Allyson Reedy

I loved everything about the Spoke and Vine! We enjoyed the outside community area and the little bar in the office. The spicy cucumber marg was perfect after a long drive! Breakfast delivered in the morning - coffee with yogurt and locally made granola was *chef's kiss* perfect. The single queen room was good for myself and my husband. I know everyone says it doesn't matter what the room looks like because you don't stay in the hotel that much on vacation but I disagree! I want my hotel experience to be convenient and relaxing. The room was small but comfortable. It was super clean and the personal touches with the notes from the staff made us feel welcomed. The customer service was 11/10. And the location and town was so cute. Stay here. Its just nice.

Excellent experience at Spoke and Vine. Much nicer than the typical chain hotel; they did a great job fixing it up and making an old motel into the perfect hub for today's adventurer! We stayed in the one bedroom apartment with our small family. The kitchen was so nice and fully stocked. Everything was spotless and the sheets were soft and high-end. The free breakfast was top notch, beautiful and as a coffee snob, happy to say their brewed coffee was very good! We also loved the Motel Bar - a fun place to hang out! Also - walking distance to the very cute downtown and only a mile from a gorgeous trail with petroglyphs.

The rooms are really clean, the breakfast and coffee delivered in the morning was an added bonus and of high quality. We loved our stay. Definitely not your average motel. The owners truly do go above and beyond to make it an experience and not just a motel stay.

What a great hotel to stay at. The service was outstanding. We always felt like we were able to get what we needed. They had a little cocktail bar in the lobby that had some great choices. Breakfast was served to the room and was on time every morning. We had some bikes with us and we were able to store them securely overnight and didn't have to have them in our room. We would definitely stay there again next time we are in town. The beds were very comfortable.

I had an amazing two nights here. The rooms are clean and designed to match the bicycling theme of the place. I also met the owners and it’s clear they care a ton about their business. There’s a cool patio with seating & tables and every Monday there’s a food truck out front. Close to all the wineries, bike trails, and fruit/veggie stands. A must visit!

Fantastic motel, centrally located in Palisade, CO. Walking distance to multiple wine tasting rooms, downtown, the palisade brewery and distillery. Had a great time biking from this location with our dog to multiple local vineyards. Jeff, Jody and the staff were amazing with breakfast brought to the room every morning and the dog friendly nature of the motel made it super helpful traveling with our pup. Rooms are newly renovated and very clean, would recommend this motel to all traveling to Palisade.
