Spontini has amazing pizza in Milano..! The taste is rich, cheesy, and really satisfying definitely worth trying if you’re in Milan. The only downside is the long lines, especially during busy hours. It can take a while to get your food. Also, the seating area is quite limited, so it might be hard to find a spot to sit and enjoy your pizza. Still, if you don’t mind waiting or grabbing your food to go, it’s a great place for a quick and tasty bite (:

Google
A great on the go option! And a good meal deal for €18 you get a very large slice of pizza (very filling because of the dough), a large drink and a dessert. The dessert also came in a glass pot, so it was like a mini souvenir. The pizza was tasty, there are lots of options and you can see them bringing our fresh pizza in front of you constantly. Obviously it's not gourmet or the best pizza you'll have, but it's a really good choice for a quick, fast food style place. You have to eat standing, or take it away, it would be great if they added chairs/stools for sitting.

Google
The pizzas are truly delicious, made with quality ingredients, and the dough is exactly how I like it: thick, soft, and satisfying. The menu is simple but effective – and you can even customize your pizza to suit your taste, which is a big plus. However, don’t expect top-tier service. It runs like a typical fast food restaurant – quick and efficient, but lacking in warm customer interaction or attention. Still, thanks to its central location, generous portions, and great pizza taste, it’s definitely worth trying. 👍 Taste: 9/10 👎 Service: 6/10 📍 Location: Excellent, very close to the Duomo!

Google
Street food, pizza with a toasted crust - an interesting idea. Prices are above average for a slice of pizza, but it’s an interesting experience. The place is small, and after a day of walking, you want to sit down, but in this establishment, that’s not possible because it’s designed for eating standing at the counter.

Google
You go to milan you have to try this spot its a no brainer We took 2 regular size slices the ingredients were fresh the presentation was instagram worthy and the taste was there. Allittle bit over priced you pay the tourist tarif haha bit its a good experience I recommend it

Google
Spontini serves very good pizza — big, tasty slices that are definitely worth trying. You usually eat standing inside, and while the lines can be quite long, the service is quick and efficient. The large size is really generous, perfect if you’re hungry. A true Milanese pizza experience!

Google
We visited this place a few times as it was fast and tasted good. Not the kind of pizza you would expect in Italy deep base and tasty tomato sauce. It was so good we went back twice more, the last day of our holiday we tried to visit another branch but they closed in the mid-afternoon. Next visit to Milan will be a visit to Spontini!

Google
I had the regular sized pizza and that was more than enough. Pretty big and great for a day of moving around in the heat. I won’t lie, I would’ve appreciated a chair but I get why they don’t provide them. Pretty good quick food that’s not too expensive.

Yelp
we were near the duomo area and reviews had recommended to try this place if you are in the area. the place was PACKED with lots of rush but the service went by quickly. we got the cheese pizza and pesto lasagna. the cheese pizza was thick and large and pesto lasagna was a huge slice - what was lacking was flavor and taste as both were minimal in both products. the pizza toppings were not good but the thick bread was decent; the lasagna had decent flavor underneath but the green beans were not good. overall it seemed more like a late night adventure after enjoying the town rather than a sober event.

Yelp
Man this pizza is affordable and delicious! Located right next to duomo and the famous galleria, if you want a good and cheap bite, this is the place to go. If you order to go you CAN NOT, I REPEAT CAN NOT eat inside it is their rule, don't try them because they do not play about that rule, I saw it for myself. They are very friendly, the pizza is made in house (you watch them make it). I plan to go back to Milan and this spot will be on my list to stop at again.

Yelp
Location is great near galleria Staff is very nice and welcoming Pizza lovers must come here! It's so tasty! I love the cheese pizza! Over all 5 stars

Yelp
Spontini makes a classic Milan pizza and is popular for a reason. They've been around for decades and use very good toppings. The cheese is fresh cut, the salami is savory, and the tomatoes are juicy. The base of the pizza is their weak spot. The bread is a bit airy and soft without flavor, but the outside crust does hit home pretty well. The slices are huge so two of them will more than fill you up. They cut the slices into manageable pieces you can handle. Prices are a little high at €8 a slice for the ones with bacon or salami. Just be conscious about what you're ordering before you fully commit. The Primavera and Salami are probably worth something close to that cost, but the bacon is weak.

Yelp
I went to this place once in 2015 and it is still hands down the best pizza I have ever eaten in my life. I dream about this place. If I ever go back to Italy I might take a detour back to Milan just so I could eat their pizza again. It was absolutely delicious. My compliments to the chef for making the most wonderful pizza.
google avatar

Jesan A.

Yelp
Fun place to try something different, those Milanese style pizzas. Be warned. This slice is enough for one person, maybe two not to hungry people. You can choose one of the options and add/remove to it. Highly recommend. Wish there was more of a sit down atmosphere.

Yelp
Came here to get a snack, this was close to the shopping area. I got a pizza margherita to go and sat by the duomo. The pizza was really fun, they're like little pillows and each is so bite sized! It's a fun and casual snack to grab to eat on the go.
google avatar

Tom T.

Yelp
The bottom crust is similar to a deep dish pizza with a crispy bottom crust. Top cheese reminds me of the corner pieces on an American lasagna. Had it Togo so I didn't experience it fresh but I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked it given how much different styles of pizza that I ate in Italy.
google avatar

Gabby R.

Yelp
Saw this place on lots of girls' study abroad pictures when I was younger and when I eventually did have a chance to go to Milan I decided to check it out. The pizza was really good! Great grab & go snack if you're near the Duomo and are hungry.

Yelp
Visited: Spring 2019 Ordered: -Margherita Thoughts: We arrived late afternoon, but the place was super busy and we had to wait in a line. However, it did move along quickly. There aren't any seats to sit down and eat comfortably, you have to stand by the tables. The pizza was different and good, but I'd have better pizza in Italy.
google avatar

Rebecca E.

Yelp
Best pizza to try in Milan!!!! Convenient, cheap and bursting with flavor!!! There is standing room only for tables which if it is super busy, you will be taking your pizza to go. I ordered the large portion of the cheese pizza to really capture the flavor and based on other reviews. The ooey gooey cheese, the tasty sauce and the bite sized squares made it super easy to eat. For a chain they had good quality, great service, spoke English and took credit cards. I would definitely come back any time.
google avatar

Jasmine Y.

Yelp
I've been staring at pictures of pizza from this place on instagram for a good 2 years. I was so excited I was coming to Milan to finally try it! It's fast food. They have tables but no chairs. You get your pizza almost immediately and it's a gigantic slice cut into small pieces. I liked the flavor but the piece I got was kind of burnt on the bottom and extra crispy. For it to be so bready looking I was kind of hoping for it to be soft and chewy as opposed to a bit hard and crunchy. It ended up having a more oily focaccia type bread taste. The toppings were great though (I just got the margherita so cheese and tomato sauce). Definitely not bad though. Worth a try.

Yelp
Fast, Fresh, Tasty and easy on your wallet. One of the best lasagnas I've had locally. Pizza was also fresh and flavorful.
google avatar

Mark M.

Yelp
A nice thick crust slice of pizza that is made fresh right in front of you. I had ham and spicy salami on mine. The crust is crispy on the edge and soft inside. Staff was friendly. Unfortunately no restroom here.
google avatar

Tianhang D.

Yelp
A nice Milanese pizzeria for a quick bite! The line went really fast and the staff spoke great English. I got a regular slice of Spontini for 5€ and it was larger than some American pizza slices. The dough was soft, the Mozzarella cheese was on point and there's anchovies as well. The bottom of the pizza was fried and crunchy. They also had set menus that included water, beer and beverages. A must-go for some Milanese pizza!
google avatar

Steven W.

Yelp
We had a few hours in Milan and we were craving pizza! So we walked the 3km to Spontini for some good pizza. So you enter in one door, choose what you want then hand the receipt to the next station and they will serve up your pizza with your desired toppings for you to enjoy. There are quite a few options on the menu and you can choose between a large or medium size pizza. These aren't your normal slices-they are much thicker (like a Chicago deep dish) and very tasty. I had the large and it filled me up for sure. I thought is was great with lots of flavours with the crust being like a buttery crispy taste. When you get your food, they have communal style standing tables (no seats here which was a shame as we just wanted to sit for a bit) Overall great pizza, great location and would def be back!
google avatar

Zemin H.

Yelp
It is small pizza place in the crowded duomo area, take out only. My daughter found this highly rated store, and I am totally surprised by the quality of the pizza at such tourist crowded place. Also this was first pizza we had since entering Italy, it reminded me the deep dish pizza at Chicago. The crust was crispy, cheese was creamy, one larger slice could feed two people.
google avatar

Julia T.

Yelp
This is strictly a fast food place. Something to eat while on the go. Do not depend on this to be what real Italian pizza is like. The portions are huge, prices are good. You get a big slice for 5 euros+. The cheese is heavy and the dough is thick. Nonetheless, satisfied a pizza craving, but too much for me to be eating in Italy.
google avatar

Eric L.

Yelp
This small pizza shop is hidden within a nest of touristy stores. The offerings are few but excellent. Pizza Mediterranean, margarita, and prosciutto. They also offer lasagna, beer, soda and water. We ordered one slice of the prosciutto which is pretty much the margarita with meat added. The bread is thick and pillowy with a nice crust. The cheese is gooey and the sauce is savory. The pizza comes chopped in 1.5 inch squares for easier consumption. Very tasty pizza for just 4.50 Euros. Next one I will try a Mediterranean since it looks as if there is a lot more pomodoro sauce, which is all I need as it turns out. See the cathedral, get some pizza, feed left over crust to pigeons if you like, take a place twin whisperer photo. Atmosphere: 4/5 Food/drink: 4/5 Cost: 5/5 Service: 4/5 Overall: 4.25/5

Yelp
this pizza is breathtaking from start to finish. Watching it cook in the oven in that huge iron cast pan is memorizing. And when it comes out and the cheese is all bubbly I want to just eat it right out of the pan but then they cut it for you in large bite size pieces. The margherita was plain and simple but when done this way it's simplicity can be appreciated by how well executed it was. The crust is thick like foccachia but light and airy still. The sauce sweet and a bit tart. And the cheese, stringy and creamy and never enough.
google avatar

Jessica Y.

Yelp
Located very conveniently near the duomo this place is great if you just want to grab something quick that will satisfy your stomach. Thick and fluffy crusts! If you're looking for thin crusts or Napoli style pizza you're in the wrong place. I had the double mozzarella Margherita small slice for 5.5 euro and that was hefty enough to satisfy me. Ends of the crusts were also delightfully crispy and not plain. Throughly enjoyed my slice! Standing space inside only.
google avatar

Julie L.

Yelp
I stumbled upon Spontini two years ago while visiting the duomo. There was a little bit of a line up but it didn't take too long. Two years later, I am still thinking about and craving this pizza. I've never had anything else that can compare. The thickness was just right with the perfect amount of sauce and cheese. They've achieved the golden ratio! I also like that they cut it up for you so it's not messy to eat at all. If I ever go back to Milan, Spontini would be my #1 destination. I can't wait to devour this again!
google avatar

Tanya A.

Yelp
Their pizza slices are huge. It was a perfect slice: somehow crunchy on the bottom, soft in the middle, with hot and gooey cheese on top. They cut up the slice for you in squares. I only wish the cheese and sauce were distributed more evenly. This place has no seating, just standing tables.
google avatar

Lisa L.

Yelp
Went to Spontini per the recommendation of Conde Nast Traveler (lol). But the pizza surely didn't let me down! For 6 euros you can get the margherita (hopefully I'm spelling that correctly) pizza and a Pepsi, which turned out to be the perfect quick lunch I needed. The pizza itself was very good. Fluffy dough with lots and lots of cheese. Granted I just came from Naples where the BEST pizza is, but I would definitely recommend Spontini if you're in need of a quick bite to eat. There is no seating available. They give you your pizza on plate, sliced up. You stand there, eat, and then leave.
google avatar

Brian W.

Yelp
I agree with Daniel W. Of all the pizza in Milan, this is the one that I'll remember. It was unique and fantastic. I came in for a snack my first day in Milan and had the special - margherita pizza slice and drink. For a stand up, fast food pizza place I was utterly wowed! Such a fluffy, flavorful crust and simple, delicious sauce and cheese. Cut to bite size pieces and served fast. I tried several restaurants (and lots of pizza) during my visit, but I craved this pizza the rest of the trip, and I made a point to revisit before leaving Milan. I would have it again if I could!
google avatar

James M.

Yelp
For what it is, fast food, Spontini does it right. Two Prosciutto slices (€4 each) and two Pepsi Light (€2.30 each), and we refreshed, reinvigorated and ready to go. Wish they had Coke products, pizza was hot, very good, and fast. Four Stars.
google avatar

Yelp
Aight so it was night and we tryna be Italian and eat late so homegirl pulled up yelp and we found this joint. They got small and large slices, I went large cos u know, I'm greedy. It was SO good (can u even get bad pizza in Italy??) They even cut it up for you which was a nice touch cos I'm too lazy for that ish usually. Rounded off the meal with a bottle of water and then we fled into the night (to get bit by mosquitos all over my body which, nah I'm super mad about, I got bit on my back 8 times !!!, but you don't care about that I know)

Jay F.

Yelp
Eat here. Simply amazing I've never had pizza this good in my life. This is the kingdom of all pizza
google avatar

Hen A.

Yelp
fast pizza slices cut to bite-sized pieces...fast moving line, simple 3 pizza menu and order counter...prosciutto 4€....margherita 3,50€....mediterranea 3€...thick crust and slightly salty pizza slices....sliced in cubes and fork to eat...can soda 2,30€...pizza and drink combinations available with choices of water, soda or beer...standing tables, so turnover is quick...crowded at times, but always a place to stand...keep valuables close and never behind...very thick and mostly bread pizza, so a single slice should satisfy hunger for most people...margherita slice was very light on the cheese, but eyeing neighboring pizza slices with more cheese...bit inconsistent from slice to slice...
google avatar

Matteo M.

Yelp
Hell yeah this is a sick place. Menu is pretty straightforward, which is always a good thing! You should distrust places with a menu of 50 different pizzas!! They do a very good thing: they keep it simple. Three kinds of pizza, very good ones, and they kill it. This is the "al taglio pizza" not the round one you normally eat. It's a thicker pizza, sold per slice. It's pricey, yes, it's true. But that comes also because the place is located basically at duomo, and the pizza is really good so you won't mind paying for it. Staff was kind. Only thing: I would have loved to seat, there are no seats in the place, eating standing it's not a very Italian thing, and to be honest, it's definitely not a healthy habit. PUT SOME CHAIRS PLEASE!
google avatar

Andrés I.

Yelp
As an American, I was totally turned off by the idea of eating American pizza in Italy but honestly this place is amazing and totally blew my mind. it's American style so it's like greasy and bready but the crust is incredible and in general the pizza is pretty good and this location in particular is super close to a bunch of sights so I highly recommend it if you're just looking for an on the go street food/snack. Don't come here for dinner or expecting an authentic Italian experience because this is for sure fast food.
google avatar

Lemuel L.

Yelp
Spent a semester abroad in Milan studying at Bocconi and this was one of my lunch spots between classes. Tucked away in the Galleria, Spontini is an absolute gem of an institution. The buttery and crispy crust, the sweet and tangy tomato sauce, and the satisfyingly stringy and mellow cheese - absolute perfection. Eating it with a fork is a must and always go for that cheese pull pic. Service is quick and there is no seating - just standing at long tables. Can't go wrong here at all.
google avatar

Nik A.

Yelp
Good honest comfy Italian Pizza and a bit of an institution in Milan. Simply line up and order from a choice of 3 types and magically your pizza appears..ok maybe not magically. The pizza chef then slices and dices the slice in front of your eyes into convenient bit size squares. Perfect for a quick snack but don't let your eyes deceive you! You only need 1 slice. Trust me. Think more pizza pie then thin crust. Takeaway it is but Pizza Hut this ain't!
google avatar

Karen C.

Yelp
The only pizza I got in Milan and it was delicious! After being stuffed from pizza with thin crust in Italy, I was glad to finally find a place with thick crust. Everything was great about this place - the quick service, quality of the food and the convenient location, but the only thing is that there are no chairs here, so you basically have to stand while you eat.
google avatar

Helen P.

Yelp
I live in Italy and this is my favorite to this day -- I first tried it 2 years ago and have not stopped loving it since. Its fast, simple, big, and filling. It's a unique type of pizza because it's by the slice which is rare in italy, and the slice is then chopped gently into cubes so you eat it easily with a fork. The pizza itself is unique because it is a thick crust, with a consistency and taste similar to focaccia. It is soooo delicious.

Nick V.

Yelp
I've had pizza all over the world. I don't just throw this statement out left and right. THIS IS THE BEST PIZZA I'VE HAD IN MY LIFE.
google avatar

Anna S.

Yelp
We only ate here because we arrived at Luini on a Monday (it's closed on Mondays!!!!) :(. And we were very hungry, so Spontini it was. Honestly, the pizza was just ok and nothing spectacular (of course, it's fast food). My slice was burnt and barely had any cheese. This would be a two-star review, but adding a star because of the ability to get a beer with the combo. Everything is better with beer! Plus, the location is super convenient.
google avatar

Mar L.

Yelp
After today's visit, I must update my review and take a star off... I am a regular of this Spontini (in fact I'm the Duchess ;)) but in the past months I've seen the quality decrease every time. It is still the same pizza slice but the crust is almost always burnt, the ham in the prosciutto pizza is half of what they used to add and even prices are higher now. It is still one of the fastest places to have lunch in the center (the queues have decreased as well, together with the quality) and even if they have just raised the prices - now the Prosciutto pizza is 4 euro (used to be 3.60 and had more prosciutto...) - they're still a cheap option. After a few months they finally realized they needed to start giving plastic knives, hopefully in a couple of months they'll find out how to use the big screen that has been hanging there since the opening (or is it only meant to show the pizzeria's logo?). Also, since there are no chairs or stools, perhaps coat hangers under the high tables would be appreciated. I'm not a big fan of Luini so I'll still come here for a quick pizza , but this in no way has to be considered the "real" Spontini pizza, just a quick and cheap centric option.
google avatar

Jenny N.

Yelp
The ONLY meal I had in Milan the entire trip! ...because I ate the pizza here for dinner upon arrival and it gave me a stomach virus. The doctor, who had been called to my hotel room due to my inability to crawl out of the bed, diagnosed me with viral gastroenteritis which is most commonly caused by improper food handling. AKA via fecal-oral transmission. Let that sink in for a bit.
google avatar

Allison B.

Yelp
I love spontini pizza! It reminds me of an Italian version of Giordanos in Chicago. It is a thick, fluffy pizza which is not the norm in Italy. It is always hot, buttery and a little crispy on the edges. Definitely worth a visit. Lines move fast!
google avatar

Oguzhan T.

Yelp
One of the tasty, fast and cheap place in milano! Its near by duomo piazza and good for fast lunch! You can eat a great ice cream across this rest!

Jeffrey N.

Yelp
Hands down one of the best pizza place to eat in Milan! Not to mention its cheap n filling! Went around 1pm and line was literally out the door. But don't be intimidated as the line goes extremely fast. We we able to order in about 10 minutes and was eating in literally 12 minutes! : ) had the margherita (3.20 euro) and wifey had the prosciutto (3.60 euro). Both were super delicious!!! Sauce was tasty with a super buttery and crunchy bottom. This place only allows standing room so be prepared get cozy with others enjoying this great pizza!!! Definitely recommend this spot!!!

Victor S.

Yelp
What can I say, there is just no better place for a quick meal than here. Think globs of mozzarella cheese on thick tomato sauce on top of piping hot and fluffy focaccia crust. It doesn't get any better. Alright it's standing only and can get crowded but I did say a quick meal.

Souzan N.

Yelp
people are crazy about this restaurant , yes it is a good pizza but I couldn't find any difference comparing to other pizzerias we paid 15 euros for two big slices of pizza with two coca cola , fair price
google avatar

Daniel W.

Yelp
So much pizza in Milan but this is the one I'll write home about. Simple but so good. One slice is definitely enough but I wouldn't judge you if you go for two ;)

Denissa A.

Yelp
Try the spontini .. it's so good, and the service is fast. but make sure you already known what to order before going to the cashier.

Tony C.

Yelp
We found a pizzeria with this long line outside - Spontini. It took us a few minutes to get up to the front counter. We had a margherita, prosciutto, and mushroom pizza (E5.00), lasagna (E4.50), and water (E1.00 each). The prosciutto and mushroom were just placed on top of the cooked pizza. We had to wait for them to warm up the lasagna. The pizza was thick crust with lots of cheese. It is pre-cut into bite size pieces, so it made it easy to eat. The lasagna had lots of layers of pasta and was really soft so it was easy to cut. We stood at the side counter eating our lunch. It was packed inside. We enjoyed it. The slice of pizza was filling.
google avatar

Sim M.

Yelp
Delicious, quick, THICK and easy pizza! It was really crowded so i decided to try it. I ate it cold because I got it To Go, and waited until I was back in my room to eat it, but it was still on point. Only a four star because a small portion where the crust would be was burnt a little, but I still ate it because it was that good. Gonna try again with a hot slice tomorrow... (Will update... Maybe)
google avatar

Tia K.

Yelp
Spontini specializes in a thick pizza with an ultra-crispy bottom. While maybe not very traditional Italian pizza, it's still delicious and pretty cheap for how filling it is. Actually my first pizza in Italy when I arrived for study abroad. It's fast and cheap, so it's a win. This location can get ultra busy sometimes but the line moves fast so don't be too intimidated.

Tracy L.

Yelp
Cheap, fast, delicious. What more could you ask for? We found this place by chance while we were roaming around Duomo area, although I had read about it on Yelp previously. The menu is very simple, there are three types of slices to choose from and you can choose to get a combo (with a drink). We went with Margherita and shared one slice between the two of us. They pre-cute the slice for you, so it's easy to share. It was fresh, hot right out of the oven, so cheesy and so delicious. It was so good that we had to go back for another slice right before we headed to the train station!
