This funky, delightful hostel was a fun place to spend a week exploring a very interesting, non-touristy town. Drogheda gave me a real sense of life in Ireland, with plenty of good restaurants and shops and a great, long bicycle/walking trail along the river out to the Old Bridge House and the Battle of the Boyne site. The owner, Rory, does a fine job of providing a good place to stay with a delightful staff. The kitchen is roomy and well equipped for doing some cooking. It’s an interesting town and area away from the big city Dublin scene, yet Dublin is easily reached. The amazing prehistoric Newgrange burial hills are fascinating, and easily reachable by bus.
