My husband and I had a romantic dinner at Spoon on our recent trip to Tahoe City. I was expecting a good experience because of the numerous high reviews on this platform but the restaurant exceeded those expectations. The food, service, and atmosphere were perfect for a dinner in Tahoe. Outdoor dining under the trees was beautiful. Everything we ordered was wonderful and we really enjoyed speaking with the chef/owner. You can tell the food is made with love and they take pride in what they do. The service was amazing and attentive. Everyone at this establishment was so nice and welcoming. It feels like fine dining in your neighbors home. We purchased a bottle of wine at the market across the street and we wete brought glasses and a wine opener, we loved this as we got the exact wine we wanted without a restaurant markup. We will definitely be coming back! Thank you for an amazing meal.

It's rare to find food that feels like you're eating passion, love, art, creativity, and the splendor of life all in one –– and Spoon has it! The chefs here clearly live their craft, as everything I've ever eaten here has been one of the best meals I've ever had. And I grew up around gourmet food, so I'm not easily impressed when it comes to food. Everything is always perfectly cooked with just the right flavors... and often with creative cuisine that you can't get elsewhere (or if you tried, it would be very underwhelming in comparison). In addition to the amazing food, the atmosphere is lovely -- both indoors and outdoors, and the service is friendly, knowledgeable, and all-around great. And the owners/chefs seem like such wonderful people –– which is a big deal for me, as I prefer to only support businesses run by good people... and given how amazing the cuisine is, that makes it soooooo easy to do here! Oh and if you're thinking to have the meatballs (which are the best ever!) you will be so happy to sub veggies instead of linguini - it has nothing to do with carbs and everything to do with amazing flavor! My advice: Do not leave a trip to Tahoe without visiting Spoon!

Google
Excellent food quality prepared simply but ever so simply delicious! I wish my stomach were bigger as I would have ordered a lot more! The staff was extremely friendly and inviting, and you can feel that they really care so much about their guests, food and hospitality. I will definitely come back the next time I’m in Tahoe. Yum!

Google
Quaint dinner spot nestled in the trees of Lake Tahoe, at Tahoe City. Food is delicious run by a beautiful family. Gluten free options are top notch!

Our tremendous thanks to Zhee Zhee & JC for a truly magical rehearsal dinner. The setting was beyond beautiful, the service was impeccable, and the food was absolutely divine! You brought our vision to life and far surpassed our expectations. We were wowed and are so very grateful for your hospitality.

Google
Really great food! Little pricey for the area, but authentic flavors with super fresh ingredients.

Google
Absolutely phenomenal place with incredible people and food. This is a Tahoe must try, quite literally the best vibes and flavors. Perfect for those looking for gluten free and vegetarian options. Carve out a night for appetizers, drinks, mains and a yummy dessert. Next time I am coming and saving more room for dessert!! However, flavors of the tofu dish WERE AMAZING. So truly every bite is worth it.

Google
Spoon is nestled between a grove of towering trees, where if you weren't looking for it, you'd probably miss it. That would have been a huge loss because this little spot is the perfect place to go for a cozy, delicious meal. The staff is welcoming and each of my dishes was perfectly prepared. The Mac and cheese has a wonderful crust and a just gooey enough center, that's already enough of a reason to come back again. And the homemade meatballs of the linguini and meatballs dish were the best I've ever had.

Yelp
We had an absolutely phenomenal dining experience at Spoon in Tahoe City! From the moment we walked in, the husband and wife team of owner/operators and their staff made us feel right at home. Their warm hospitality and knowledgeable recommendations set the tone for a fantastic meal. The Soup of the Moment, a Poblano Chowder, was a game-changer - a perfect balance of spicy and creamy that left me craving more. The Pan Roasted Fish was cooked to perfection, and the zucchini noodles added a delightful twist to the dish. But the real showstopper was the Rosemary Maple Blondie dessert - a unique and refreshing take on the classic blondie. I'd order it again in a heartbeat! What truly sets Spoon apart, though, is the love and care that the owners put into every aspect of the restaurant. From the carefully crafted menu to the warm and inviting atmosphere, it's clear that this is a labor of love. Don't miss this hidden gem in Tahoe City. We can't wait to come back and try more of the menu!

Yelp
I've been coming to Spoon for years, every chance I get when I'm Tahoe. It's the best homemade, cozy, comforting meal you can get in the area. The food portions are large, there is rotating specials and alwayssss get the dessert. Their menu is always a classic combination of: protein, carb, & veg + sauce. Meatballs have always been on the menu but the type of fish rotates. It's always delicious. Whatever the house soup is, you should get it. The fresh salad with homemade dressing also changes but remains impeccable. Space is tight; they only have 7 tables. YES you should make a reservation. They open at 3PM & you should call them asap. Bonus! It's BYOB.

John G.

Yelp
I was on the fence about coming to Spoon compared to other Tahoe locations due to it not having a view of the water, but the food and intimacy of an 8 table restaurant was the perfect ambience. Everyone was friendly, enthusiastic and interested in what we had to say. Everything on the menu has its own small twist to a traditional dish that makes it completely original. These chefs know what they're doing, I think that among all the positive feedback I'm giving this place, the food is by far the most impressive part of Spoon. Shoutout to Nicholas, who was extremely attentive to our table, ensuring water was filled, coffee was brought out quickly, and that our food was up to par with their extremely high standards. Cannot recommend this place enough, but make sure to get a reservation. You will know you want to eat here just off the bubbly personality of JC, one of the owners that took our reservation. Coming from Sacramento, I will try to get a reservation here every time I'm on the west shore of Lake Tahoe.

Yelp
The food is always amazing when we come here! We've dined here back to back days because the food is unreal and the staff is super welcoming. The moment you step into the restaurant, it feels like having dinner at a great friend's house. We ordered the soup special which was a lovely tomato bisque with cheesy toast. It transported us back to our childhood but was also extremely elevated. We also had the salmon with a side of polenta. The salmon had delicious crispy skin and the polenta was luxuriously creamy. We saved room for dessert and ordered the bread pudding. If you choose to dine here: ALWAYS save room for dessert! You won't regret it. There is some parking in front of the restaurant and on some nearby side streets. Also, there is no alcohol on the menu, so you can bring your own drinks and glasses without any corkage fee. Remember, there are only 7 tables, so it's best to call ahead to make a reservation!

Vivek R.

Yelp
1 star for service, couldn't get to try the food. We recognize you can get full as it a small place, being polite to customers you turn back is not a high bar.

Cheryl S.

Yelp
Service was top notch. The food was amazing. I had the garlic marinated tofu. It was the best to find GF vegan meal that was so tasty. Ambiance was great

Yelp
Phenomenal restaurant and insane value for the quality of food that you get! We came with a fairly large group (5 people) and this is a small space, super cozy on the inside and it felt like being in someone's house or bedroom. Really inviting and warm feeling. It's BYOB which is nice for those who indulge, and no cork fee which is quite generous. The food was bomb. Can't go wrong with any of the options. My favorites were the chicken thigh with beans, as well as the scallops (delicious and juicy). Had the millionaire's dessert which is a do not miss. My friends who don't have quite the sweet tooth that I have were turned on this and glad that I pressured them to get this. Highly recommend if you're in the Tahoe area!

Yelp
Spoon is a charming little restaurant that has been wedged into an old cabin. They make excellent use of the limited space. Interior seating is a table for six downstairs and two 2 tops and two 4 tops upstairs in the loft. The loft is up a steep, somewhat narrow staircase. Even the downstairs is up two steps. Folks with mobility issues can enjoy patio dining - which is where most of the seating is anyway. This is not intended as a slam. This building at least 75 years old and was built as a summer cabin. There is no practical way to increase interior accessibility. Even if you could get in, there is no room to maneuver a manual, let alone an electric wheelchair. Our server was friendly and efficient. The wife had the King Salmon which she said was delicious. I had the Linguine and Meatballs. The meatballs were very good; nice texture and density with a nice pan sear. The linguini was oversalted. We also split an excellent Green Goddess salad (plenty to share) and finished with the "Million Dollar Slice". Chocolate, caramel and shortbread goodness. The food was good but a bit pricey for what we got. Next time we will probably go to Zas.

Amy K.

Yelp
First: Must have reservation! Very small kitchen and staff, plan accordingly. We planned a trip to Tahoe for just one night and really were flying by the seat of our pants. We were looking for dog-friendly restaurants along our route on the map and came across Spoon. Had no idea we needed a reservation and we pulled up at 2:30, 30 minutes before they opened. We were able to go in to grab a reservation for 3:30 so we could walk around and explore a bit. We ordered a few apps, entrees and a few desserts. Really blown away by the food. The carrot curry soup is amazing with a perfect texture and light comforting flavor. Also really loved the herb oil that came with the ciabatta bread, so delicious and refreshing. Everyone loved everything they ordered, including the fish special and linguine meatballs. The mac and cheese app was easily the best mac and cheese I've ever had. I am very thankful we were able to eat here despite our last minute planning and appreciate the no-frills vibe of the experience. The food is awesome and really made our day!

Randal M.

Yelp
My entire group agreed: this place is legit. It's a higher-end restaurant than your average spot, but the experience justifies it, because not only was the service all you could ask for in that tiny cabin, every dish we got was a hit. We did listen to them turn down more people over the phone than there were tables, so plan ahead during ski season! What we got: Poached pear Mac - Somehow balanced the flavors perfectly! Mac and cheese isn't my favorite dish yet it was impressive. Soup - Served with a little bread so everyone got to try. Rich. Linguini and meatballs - Certainly done right. Nothing too crazy. Scallops and asparagus - Wow! Huge standout dish, and was super impressed by the intense flavor of the sauce. Appreciate how the meat was juicy with a good crust. Million dollar slice - Super intense flavors, very sweet. My favorite. Banana cheesecake - More subdued for a cheesecake; my girlfriend's favorite. Dark chocolate truffles - Tasty and shockingly healthy, we later learned. We really couldn't hide our glee when co-owner JC came over to chat and tell us the story of the restaurant. What a night!

Yelp
I don't usually write yelp reviews but I just found my go to restaurant in Tahoe. Farm to table, made with love.

Michelle O.

Yelp
We went with a group of 5 for dinner after the Commons Beach concert on a Sunday night. It's only about 8 minutes south of Tahoe City on the west side in a wooded area. Asked to sit inside as it was a 7:30 pm reservation, but they put us on the main floor next to the open kitchen so the ambiance wasn't as good with people coming in and out and picking up food. (They also have upstairs seating and the outside was cute under the trees but chilly at night.) The restaurant is run by a married couple of former fine dining chefs and they call it "gourmet comfort food" with fresh ingredients which change seasonally. Service was attentive and the chefs really hustle, as we could see from our seats. They don't have a liquor license so it's byob which saves considerable money for big drinking parties. I started with the creamed corn soup special, which was delicious and the best thing I ate. We also had the cheesy chiabatta bread with sharp white cheddar cheese, which was pretty filling (two orders for 5 people). Others ordered the green goddess salad, which didn't arrive until the meal was served (so be sure to specify it's an appetizer). I had the linguini with beef meatballs, with 3 medium meatballs but pretty tasty. Not enough sauce for my liking, just crushed garlic tomatoes and spices ($1 for extra parmesan). Others had the Alaskan salmon special, which was charred on one side and very tender, so they enjoyed it. Served on a pesto veggie medley. Another had the white bean and kale ragout and raved about it. We'd definitely go back if on that side of the lake but sit outside and eat earlier. No view but the ambiance is nice under the trees.

Deanne H.

Yelp
Still fantastic! First time dining indoors (winter) and it's adorable! Service and food are impeccable! It really can't be beat. Great gluten free options too

Ally H.

Yelp
Time and time again, this place is amazing! Menu changes constantly and the food is always delicious. Service is on point. If you're visiting on a winter night, you might want to bring a jacket. If you sit near a window it can get a bit chilly

Rosie B.

Yelp
Really quaint little restaurant. We weren't impressed with the food which we felt was underwhelming and over priced but the service and ambiance made up for it. They allowed us to bring our own wine but they didn't have wine glasses. We also thought the paper cups for water took away from our dining experience. It's a really cute restaurant and we enjoyed the cabin atmosphere but I'd likely return for lighter fare.

Jessica F.

Yelp
The food here is phenomenal! Tiny, intimate, creaky small cabin home retrofitted with a kitchen with only 7 tables total. BYOB with no corkage fee is a great deal! If you're looking for a unique, romantic date night idea, Spoon would be the perfect setting. Just because it's so small, a reservation is recommended but I snuck in without one on a random, snowy early evening 5 o clock sitting. The three of us ordered the cassoulet, organic chicken and linguine with meatballs. The dishes were hearty, huge and scrumptious! The meatballs were giant! The andouille sausage in the cassoulet was packed with flavor. The chicken was perfectly moist in both dishes. So filling, I ate it all up! Can't wait to go back such a cute place and for Tahoe especially since you don't have to pay for alcohol, the prices end up being reasonable!

Mark S.

Yelp
Family run small outside restaurant. Limited menu with great food and friendly service. We recommend the linguini with homemade meatball and the marinated chicken breast with veggies/eggplant. Reservation required and bring your own drinks. Highly recommended

Johnney B.

Yelp
I was visiting Tahoe and I found this place on Yelp and AM I GLAD I WENT its a very cozy little restaurant with a home-y vibe and the food was pure culinary art! I would've ate their every day if I found it sooner. The service was also amazing. Our waiter was quick to get our food out to us and was checking in on us know if we needed anything. GREAT SPOT you will regret it if you don't go!

Stacey W.

Yelp
Visited Spoon for my birthday dinner with family. Excellent food- best meal we have had in Tahoe-stand outs were clam chowder and Mac n cheese! Adorable casual setting. Warm service. Took my millionaire shortbread to go! Big hit with my daughter who is vegan as well. Thanks Spoon for a fab birthday dinner!

Mike P.

Yelp
This past July, we visited Tahoe and so glad we found Spoon. What a wonderful restaurant with creative and delicious dishes and desserts. We had dinner there twice during our short visit to the area. Note: The pork belly sandwich was to die for.

Mark A.

Yelp
What a lovely dinner. I had the meatballs and linguine and my wife had the King salmon. So good! So many flavors! We started the meal by splitting a goddess salad which was mind-blowing good! The real upside to this little hole-in-the-wall place is the service. Diego, our server, was so nice and responsive. We talked a lot with him and he's so genuine and caring. Also our hostess, Zhee Zhee, was phenomenally nice and helpful. Eating outside was great and easy, as heaters made the area pleasant. Check this place out. You will love it! PS - no corkage fee - bring some wine!

Randy G.

Yelp
What a great place, I am so happy we found out about it. We were staying at Sunnyside and had had dinner there before so we looked for something walkable and with a good menu. This was it!!! Totally gourmet food (I should add we eat plant based) and they hqd

Paul D.

Yelp
Green Goddess salad was good. Desert was good. Meatballs and linguine noodles were fair. Meatballs were very dry. No alcohol was served which is weird. I have been in the bar restaurant business. And at least have a beer and wine license. Missed profits and inconvenience. I am not hurrying back.

M D.

Yelp
Spoonful of flavor! Reservations are a must for this quaint spot among the pine trees. We were fortunate enough to get a table and only waited about 15 minutes without a reservation. Friday night @6:30-7pm party of 5 no reservations and waited 15-20minutes. Indoor and outdoor seating available . Watch out for the mosquitos! As the sun set the mosquitos came by and said hello. I suggest wearing long sleeve shirt and pants, possibly a hat if you don't have hair. I didn't get bit, but my husband did and he wore a short sleeve and no hat. Food was absolutely delicious and flavorful. Seasoned well. 1.) mushroom soup (soft and silky, umami) 2-) shrimp -great and zesty 3.) Chicken legs -juicy and tender 4.) dessert- million dolla slice. Delicious and addicting!!! They don't have a liquor license so you can bring your own bottle of wine and I believe beer. They will give you glasses and a cork screw for the wine. All the staff were kind and attentive. Bathroom inside and plenty of parking all around the restaurant.

Allie G.

Yelp
Easily the most memorable meal I've had in Tahoe! I found Spoon on Yelp, about a week before our trip, and decided to make a dinner reservation because of all the great reviews. I'm so glad I did because our experience was absolutely perfect! We arrived a bit early for our reservation (yes, you need one), but they had a nice little outdoor waiting area to sit in. Once our table was ready, we were seated outside - all their seating is outdoors and dog friendly! The ambiance was incredibly cozy, with cute little string lights, and our server Zhee Zhee was sweet and personable. The staff was very good about bringing over water and even little treats for the dogs. We also brought our own bottle of wine, since Spoon is BYOB. We decided to order a bunch of items to share between the two of us - the Poached Pear-Mac (my favorite, absolutely incredible flavors), Toasted Ciabatta with Herb Oil (very good), Garlicky Sumac Shrimp (also SO flavorful), and 2 Beef Meatballs (my second favorite). All the food was delicious and clearly made with love - it really felt like home-style comfort food. We couldn't skip dessert at this place, so we ordered the Banana Cake with Pineapple Rum Sauce, which was the "decadence of the moment". The cake was genuinely mind-blowing, one of the best I've ever had. We also ordered a Million Dolla Slice to take home with us, and it was delicious the next day (very very rich). We had such a great time here, pricing was very reasonable, and all the food was such high quality. Absolutely NEED to return!

Alexa A.

Yelp
Food = yummy Drink = did not partake in, but they do have some fizzy waters and sodas on the menu, plus coffee and tea. And I believe you can bring your own wine! Service = great! Very kind people working there, happy to accommodate Outdoor seating is a must! It's so cute outside and they have torches to light up the area or keep flies away if needed :) Try to make a reservation! It'll guarantee you a seat for a 90 minute eating period

David C.

Yelp
DO NOT MISS THIS FANTASTIC PLACE ! Small and intimate but that what makes it so special. The food is amazing and carefully prepared to perfection. We had 4 in our group and had an assortment of appetizers as well as main dish offerings that were delicious. Reservations are a must. Enjoy

Casey W.

Yelp
We had the most wonderful dining experience here. The waiter and owner came up to our table and they were so friendly and accommodating and chatted us up. We weren't too hungry but needed a little something so they recommended the chicken legs and the pear mac and cheese. Both were great bites! Outdoor seating was nice and homey. No indoor seating from what I can tell. They have heating lamps and it was nice dining under the big trees.

Louise L.

Yelp
Food is amazing as always and our server was great, but boy was the chef in a mooood! Dined here Saturday night for our anniversary and with our children. As I always do when we dine here, I order 2 sides of pasta for my kids. It is listed as a side with roasted tomatoes and parmesan, which I ordered for one of my kids but I also ordered one with just butter for my other child. The first one arrived with sauce on side and parmesan on top, so I asked my server to confirm the butter-only plate would not have parmesan. She went to check as the plate had not been delivered, but then the chef accompanied her back to our table with the bowl of butter pasta with parmesan. Then she handed me a spoon and told me to scrape off the parmesan if I didn't want it. I was so shocked at this response! I explained that my daughter cannot eat cheese and the chef looked at the waitress to confront her so rudely in front of customers asking if she clarified "butter but with no parmesan" in the system when placing the order... She was making such a big deal over a small bowl of noodles and shaming the waitress in front of customers, when it was a simple miscommunication. I then asked if she was really refusing to make me a new butter-only dish, at which point she stormed off saying "I guess I'll have to throw this away." Then she passive aggressively wrote on my receipt "changed mind" next to the original order and up-charged me from $9 to $13 to remove the tomatoes and parmesan I suppose. Very passive aggressive and disappointing. We love coming to this restaurant, so this is a sad development. I am hoping she was just having a bad day!

Caitlin J.

Yelp
The food was incredible. The service made me want to hang out and chat all night. And the small house vibe was so cute. I felt like I was eating the best meal I've ever had at my beloved aunt's house.

Ashley B.

Yelp
Some of the best food my hubby and I ever had. We look forward to eating there every year. Reasonably priced for the quality you receive. We are fairly picky and this place is top notch 5 star

Steve W.

Yelp
Have been to this restaurant a couple of times pre pandemic for take out. Was in the area with my daughter so decided to see if there was any room to eat at the restaurant tonight. Got lucky and they were open and had room! Ordered the fish special - king salmon and the spaghetti meatballs. Both were fantastic! I mean pop in your mouth fantastic! Truly on another level. Also ordered a coffee and a couple of desserts to go. I am so very happy this business survived the pandemic. The two ladies there were so very personable and attentive. Would happily recommend this business. Support small business! And support women owned business!

J H.

Yelp
Our tremendous thanks to Zhee Zhee & JC for a truly magical rehearsal dinner. The setting was beyond beautiful, the service was impeccable, and the food was absolutely divine! You brought our vision to life and far surpassed our expectations. We were wowed and are so very grateful for your hospitality.

Kathleen M.

Yelp
THE BEST FOOD IN TAHOE! Seriously so so good. Home cooking at its finest. Some of the best gluten free deserts ever. BYOB is just the cherry on top. Best bang for your buck out there.

Erik D.

Yelp
Let me start by saying, the food is really good. We started with the Bacon Mac & Cheese. Was good, but not ahh inspiring as was suggested. We also had the White Bean and Greens dip and chips. This was something to rave about. Was the best thing on the menu. A must. We then had entrees. I had the Linguini and Meat balls and my wife had the Salmon. They were fine. Not amazing, but was okay. The real flaws, for me, was the fact that we were given paper cups for water. We were also stunned that the only beverages offered were coffee, tea, and Le Croix. We were given permission to get alcohol or any beverages we wanted at the market across the street. I get the idea of the Bohemian vibe, was just not what I expected. The staff are very personable and friendly. I was just expecting more. Don't know how much more, just more. I hope you give them a try. Maybe your experience will be what you are looking for.

John W.

Yelp
Excellent, best meal I've had in a while. Food, service, and ambiance were/are all excellent. It is a lovely place and the owners/chef's are proud and friendly as are the wait staff. I highly recommend Spoon. The food is extremely well created and flavorful. I'll definitely be back.

Kevin D.

Yelp
As vegan we were a little hesitant about this place as their vegan options were minimal, but after eating our food we can't wait to come back for more. We started off with the Loco Topos which had an amazing flavor combination and took traditional nachos to a new level (especially their use of pickled onions). For our main course we had the garlic roasted organic tofu and once again the flavor combination worked. Finally, we tried their vegan chocolate cake for dessert and it was the perfect ending to a great meal. We also loved the quaint outdoor eating which was very comfortable. We are looking forward to our next visit to Tahoe and Spoons is one of the reasons.

Amy R.

Yelp
We dined at Spoon 2 nights in a row because once was not enough. We went with our kids and friends last night and sampled 5 items on the menu one better than the next. The vegetarian white bean and tofu was tasty, the chicken legs were great, the rice tabbouli was yummy and might I add, gluten free. So many vegetarian and vegan and gluten free options to satisfy a variety of diners without compromise. Tonight we had the chicken breast with red pepper sauce, fingerling potatoes and haricots vert. We both had this because it was moist, perfectly cooked and seasoned. BTW I'm told the cheesy bread is to die for but I'm gluten free... so sad for me. The desserts are all decadent and home made. This married chef and pastry chef couple are the best thing to happen to Lake Tahoe taste buds. The service is excellent, everything is cooked to order and no one is rushed. Watching the chef is amazing in his tiny open kitchen. I highly recommend Spoon. We went 2 nights in a row it was that good!

Rachel C.

Yelp
Absolutely fell in love with this place. It's small but cozy and modern. The food is so fresh and their bisques are SO good. Try it! I had the salmon both times we went because I loved it so much. Desserts rotate too and are great

Henry C.

Yelp
This place is a unique place with amazing charm, great food and service. I had the best seat in the house (second floor) which included an above kitchen view. I can say the staff has the utmost attention to detail and true love when making and delivering the food. The best food in town is made with natural ingredients and this place has it. Amy was our waitress and she also made this experience memorable.

Sharon G.

Yelp
Divine. Such a sweet little restaurant with very homey appeal. The staff was amazing and gave great recommendations. I'm a good cook and I always judge a meal by if I could do better. There isn't a thing I could come close to. I can't recommend this enough.

Lucas N.

Yelp
I was there the night they got the two star review and it seemed like the woman and her party were there for free food from the beginning. Also just to show you how much they know. I got the meatballs just like they did and it wasn't even fettuccine. It was linguini pasta. Feel bad for restaurants who deal with people like this. Food is amazing. Atmosphere is amazing. 5 stars (Friend got the pork chop which is displayed in the picture.) Beautiful plating.

Clutch R.

Yelp
This is not a typical restaurant. It's not a typical fine-dining restaurant. And it's not a typical casual restaurant. Nothing about Spoon is typical. The physical setting is atypical. The complete lack of a liquor license is atypical. The exquisite flavor profiles, especially in the context of the Lake Tahoe basin, are atypical. And the chef's undying passion for hospitality is most definitely atypical, in the most spectacular way possible. One of the best restaurants in the basin, hands down. No details required. This review and the others speak for themselves.

Hutch C.

Yelp
This place is awesome ! Lives up to the Yelp reviews. It's tiny, but the family that runs it, puts there all into it. Clearly a labor of love. Everything we had was amazing (don't skip the salad). Desserts were demolished quickly. But the personal service makes this a unique experience. If you can get a reservation, don't miss this place !!!

James F.

Yelp
We arrived at the dinner hour and were seated at an outside table. It was chilly (50 degrees) and so we asked if we could be seated indoors. We were led to a table near the kitchen and noticed it was just as chilly inside as it was outside. The front and kitchen doors were wide open and were never closed during our stay. The dinner didn't get off to a great start as the waitress mentioned that the fish and shrimp options were not available as they had not placed their orders until too late with their suppliers. We ordered the chicken and it was just okay. Tender enough, but there was really not too much flavor. The pasta dish was very good. The waitstaff was very attentive and pleasant. We were disappointed as we had heard it was the best restaurant in Tahoe City. It's kind of difficult to enjoy a nice relaxed dinner when you're literally shaking from the cold.

Yelp
Nestled beneath tall pine trees with the warm glow of string lights, the food was sublime, the service impecable and the dessert was sinful! You won't regret it!

Yelp
Oh my god! I would eat here everyday if I could. The food is great - some of the best I've eaten but what makes it even better is the host and the entire team. Cozy adorable and with the most adorable team serving you. You feel right at home and want to come back for more. All the fuzzy feelings at this hidden gem The salad the soup the mains - everything was a hit!
