"Start a few miles south of Morro Bay with what’s referred to as the “Back Bay - Baywood - Los Osos” area. In Los Osos, Spooner Ranch is lined with tall, twisted and fanning picturesque trees, opening to Spooner Cove below. Tour guides Sue and Al Pawlowski will tell you all about how life once was in the 1800s there, transporting you back to when it was a working dairy farm with the chief product of butter."

An absolute gem in Montaña De Oro State Park. Plenty of history, pictures, vintage items, and items for sale at this cute little home. The cashier was super friendly and had plenty of helpful information on the park and history. This is a beautiful home surrounded by beautiful scenery. Sit on the rocking chairs and relax. Take in the ocean air, go to the cove, walk the bluffs, and hike a trail. Well worth your time.

Lots of period furniture and pictures of ranch life. Cool saddles, and kitchen gadgets.

My Grandma grew up in this ranch house way back when it was a working ranch. I have been back several times and the staff there are always great and take such great care of the property!

Lovely, historic house to check out for free with a little shop at the front. Doesn’t sell any food or drink fyi; just clothing, toys and some cute books, etc.

It’s extremely lovely up there and they have a very informative and wonderful little gift shop. Be sure to check out the video in theft wing of the house. There was a lot of history being made there back in the day.

Loved looking at how people lived and especially all the furnishings. The kitchen was my favorite.

Fascinating place! We really enjoyed touring the old Spooner Ranch House. The volunteer was very informative and this place has a lot of history. The house itself is lovely and the property surrounding is gorgeous. They even have a scavenger hunt for the kids to search for all the mini cow figures scattered about the house as you tour. It was a lot of fun finding all of the cows. It's a very neat place to visit if you're enjoying Montana De Oro.
