Always have a good meal here. Interesting menu choices and enough vegetarian and vegan choices that you can bring people who choose that to this place. We chose to sit outside, but there is ample I door seating as well. An average of 25 per person is not too bad considering we had beers along with the food.

The menu offers both vegan and non-vegan options and the food was very good. Prices were reasonable. Loved the outside seating which is also pet friendly. Definitely worth checking out. Pictured is the Raspberry Tea (vodka, raspberry syrup and lemonade) and the Smothered chicken sandwich w/ fries

Dinner on my first night in Pittsburgh. Not a bad start. A recommendation from our hotel's shuttle driver. Lots of BBQ meat. Each on this platter was good, but the pork ribs was the best tasting. Server was friendly and attentive. Coincidentally, she's from British Columbia as well. Room was not exactly air conditioned, but was a good deal cooler than outside's hot and humid air. Didn't drive so can't comment on the availability of parking.

Truly disappointed. I'm not sure if it was the crunchy grits or the lack luster attitude of the server. She appeared to be bothered from the word go. Three of us came in and two are at the table. I'm taking a call from my employer and your trying to talk to me about drinks.? I asked her to please come back when the rest of my party is seated. Finally cam back and my drink is a hot mess. So after the nice gentleman brought our food the waitress still did come back for about 15 min. Told her about the drink. She left it on the table and brought water. I asked for my check, the same nice guy offered me a box and then 20 min later the bartender brought my check. this is how you treat people. Why be a server if you don't want to serve? Just to mention we were the first customers @ 10:59 so it wasn't that y'all were busy. 1st time in and probably the last. The gentleman was nice and the ribs & Ruben egg rolls were extremely good. The Cuban and grits not so much.

Hands down would recommend this to anyone on the South Side. The service was so fast and all the staff are super friendly. The outdoor seating area is very chill and VERY dog friendly which I love. And the food was of course above and beyond. Will definitely be back as this is one of my favorite restaurants I've found in Pittsburgh.

Great food with a wide variety of choices from serious BBQ to vegan. Went there for lunch today with people from Anne 75 to 4 months, with diets ranging from vegetarian to full-on carnivore. We all left satisfied. Great service (thank you Laura!), fun decor, will definitely visit again the next time I'm in Pittsburgh!

Google
We were drawn to this place based on its mix of options, including a selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes. Or waitress had a great personality and we loved the atmosphere (casual retro), which helped outweigh some of the issues. The main two issues we had were late food (appetizers and desserts) and the jerk chicken dish we ordered was not too good. The seitan wings (with the vegan sauce) were more spicy than the jerk. It was great that they had a whole separate section for vegetarian dishes. Drinks were also pretty good. Desserts were great and rich (Death by Chocolate and Oreo).

Google
This place was amazing. It had 2 full pages of vegan and vegetarian options! The menu was full of amazing items for everyone in my group to enjoy. The restaurant has a cool garage feel with a sweet truck bar. Pinball games and tons of room for large parties. They have outside seating when the weather is nice. This place is a must try!

Yelp
Wow. This place should soon be packed. Currently, a few tables are seated, as the large dining area is remodeled. But the food. Omg. Collard greens are perfectly cooked, smoky flavorful and not a second too long. No soupy broth. The other star is the smoked beef on homemade grilled wick bun with side of au jus! It's like beef on weck was made in heaven by an angel. We also tasted the hot sausage- delish and hot! Plus pulled pork mac and cheese- forget all that crock pot pulled pork, this comes out like sliced smoke brisket. Chefs kiss. Oh and vegetarians and vegans, they still got you covered, and it's nice and labeled easily referenced

Yelp
This place was formerly called the Double Wide Grill. It serves pretty solid BBQ type food. There are some sandwich options as well. I decided to try out their classic cheeseburger with a side of Mac and cheese. The burger itself was a pretty decent size. The patty was a tad over cooked, but the tomato added some freshness and moisture back into the burger. Not really any sauce except ketchup. Cheese was fine. What really stood out was the bun. It was almost like Texas Toast (not actually, but close to it). Crisp, a tad buttery, soft on the outside, and not at all soggy. That was great! The Mac and cheese was okay. Good portion for a side. I thought it was a little congealed and not creamy enough (more oily than I'd like). I agree that it's probably Gouda based. Decent. All in all, this place definitely has potential. I think it's new too. Give it some time and I think it'll be pretty great.

Yelp
I went here with my parents yesterday for dinner. We all ordered Brisket on weck and I got the tater tot casserole as a side. The sandwich its self was really good. The bun was fresh and perfect for the brisket. There was a generous portion of brisket on the sandwich and the brisket was tender and just melted in your mouth. The tater tot casserole was way better than I expected it to be. The waitress said it had tomato's in it so I was unsure how I'd like it but I trusted her judgment and it ended up being so good! Are service was great our waitress was wonderful. The food came out really quick and our drinks were always filled! I'll definitely be back especially when it is nicer out and I can bring my dog and sit outside.

Yelp
Loved everything about this place! The food was delicious, service was super quick and really friendly (shoutout our server Car!), and the whole environment was great. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch. We split a ribs and brisket platter with a side of Mac & cheese. The ribs were tender and tasty and the brisket was very good. The Mac & Cheese was a gooey style with a sharp tasting cheese, might be gouda cheese. A bottle of their Texas bbq sauce was there to add sauce. Service was good.

Yelp
The wings are so good! They are huge and come with buffalo on the side or your choice of dip! The salad was so good and fresh although I thought the salmon could have a little more flavor! So excited for this new gem in Southside! Great place to get a beer and good food with very attentive staff!

Yelp
So glad they reopened in the south side. I thought they had closed. It may seem overpriced, but when it comes to BBQ in the Burgh, you're getting what you pay for at SP at least. Few kinks to work out in new location, but the food is still great. Love the brisket, turkey, and greens.

Yelp
Stopped in during a quick visit to Duquesne University. Jeanine the hostess and waitress was a gem. The pulled pork was very good. The wings were smoked and had great crunch. Also the tater tot hash was like elementary school lunch throwback!

Chris C.

Yelp
Holy crap amazing food. The collard greens were the best I ever had. Smoked Turkey and brisket also were both delicious and just the right amount of smoke and perfectly cooked! Definitely will come back often.

Yelp
First time there the food was good. This time we were not told until ordering that they were out of most of the items we wanted. The bathroom needs a good cleaning, update and painting. Old Christmas and Halloween decorations were laying around the restaurant. Mac and cheese had little cheese and less flavor. Vegan sloppy joe on a hamburger bun was OK as were fries. Not much barbecue or smoke taste with the other meats. Very disappointing . Hopefully renovations will bring it. Back to a good place. For now don't bother.

Yelp
Five of us went to dinner at 7pm. Not late. No one told us until we went to order that they were out of brisket, bbq chicken and salmon. What? We should have been informed of this upon entering. The food we did get was mediocre at best. The ambience is awful. This place has no business being open yet. Boxes of Christmas decorations lying around, big tool chests lying around, cases of beer stacked around. Nothing on the door or walls to absorb sound so the acoustics suck. Will not be back.
