Sport-Hotel Victoria

The only good thing about this hotel is the location. The price does not reflect what you get at all. This is a very basic 3-star hotel with a tiny bathroom, basic furniture, a tiny 20-year-old TV, and a smelly ski room. Breakfast is extremely poor: low-quality pastries, supermarket toast bread not even removed from the plastic, no vegetables, no proper fruit, cheap bottled juice instead of fresh orange juice, tasteless coffee, all at €330 a night! There’s a fantastic bakery next door with excellent croissants, ended up buying breakfast there instead of eating the hotel’s supermarket-quality food. Overall, everything reflects the owners’ attitude: maximum prices for minimal effort.

The hotel is located alongside the main street of the village and is reached within a couple of minutes from the railway station. The guest room is simply furnished but clean and full of tradition. The breakfast buffet is freshly prepared and very tasty.

Horrible value for money - never felt so unwelcome Positives: clean rooms, great location in city centre Negatives: dated rooms; basic outfittings; staff is untrained and extremely unfriendly (except the cleaners); if you want your towels changed they charge 30CHF; checkin closes at 4pm, bathroom fan VERY loud and non-functional. We just hated every minute, mainly because we were treated with such condescension….

Vanessa, the receptionist, was incredibly welcoming and helpful. We were pleasantly surprised to find that our room had been upgraded without prior notice. The location is fantastic as well! The breakfast was nothing special. The restaurant had good soup.

I have come many times to have lunch at the hotel, it was always a very good experience, delicious food, friendly staff, reasonable prices and everything very clean. The last time I went on 12/28/25 it was horrible.We ordered a fondue and a fish and chips, the potatoes were frozen, the bread was not fresh and it took them 1 hour to give us the food. What a disappointment, it was my favorite place but something happened that the quality of the place went down. a shame

Great location, right in the city centre and close to all good restaurants. Free parking on site for 4 vehicles. Public transport is at walkable distance. Staff is very helpful and extremely friendly. Their restaurant is one of the good restaurants in the area. Our 10 month old baby was taken well care of. Decent breakfast menu for the area. An extremely well deserved 5 stars.

Great family boutique hotel in an excellent location, just in the main middle of town.| |The Room was large for one person and spotless, had all the amenities more then I needed.||Just 5 min walk from Gstaad train station, in the center of the main street, near everything.||Breakfast was the tasty and fresh, warm drinks to warm up everyday before going out to a snowy day :-)||Bottom line - A high Swiss quality of hospitality, It was great visiting Gstaad and staying at Sporthotel Victoria.||I truly recommend 11/10 :-)

Great German restaurant in Gstaad, unfortunately there wasn't too much snow and it was windy so we couldn't take the gondola up. Instead we had great German food, nice services, overall great experience.

We went eating dinner there as a group of three (in the brasserie) Food: Good food for reasonable prices. I had the simmentaler steak on a hot stone. Service: Eventhough he didnt really understand us he always was very kind and friendly. We did not get everything as we ordered it, but that wasnt a big deal Ambience: French looking brasserie Good place to eat for normal prices in Gstaad.
