We stayed for two nights. The first night was OK, the room was very small but clean and the breakfast was adequate. But on the second night, when we went to sleep around 11PM, there were other guests above our room shouting loudly and constantly, aswell as moving around furniture etc. After midnight the shouting went worse. Then we decided to go to the lobby to look for a number to call, since the reception isn't open at night. We found none, so we called the police. There was no other choice, and it sounded almost like domestic violence. We have no idea if the police came or not, but the shouting continued until morning. When the reception opened, we told them what happened and the lady was sorry. Nothing offered to compensate. She just told us that we should've known the contact number for night time is outside. Oh, wow... At the same time we realised that they had messed up our payment, but the lady said that the manager will fix it later. Later, when we went back to retrieve our bags, we received an envelope containing a 10 CHF note and some coins. They reimbursed the extra payment taken from us, which they should, but again, nothing to make us feel compensated about the whole night of lost sleep on a business trip. So: if we return to Gstaad again, we will not be staying in this hotel. I mean after all, isn't sleeping the thing we paid ~250EUR per night for??
