Sport of Kings Motel

We had a great and very spacious suite with a hot tub which we appreciated after long days out exploring this region. The staff were friendly and super helpful. We were disturbed by car door noises and people outside our bedroom and the accommodation whilst being of a high standard had no outlook or charm.

Off the main road location in a lovely setting. Very clean spacious rooms with all the amenities available to make your stay feel like home. My room was more like an apartment and I only wish I was able to stay longer. Great location close to food, shopping and downtown Rotorua. Very friendly staff :). I highly recommend this motel and will definitely be returning.

We had a fantastic 2-night stay at Kings on Peace Rotarua. Our room (number 104) was spacious, clean, and well-appointed—everything we needed for a comfortable visit. The host was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the compendium provided was thorough and helpful. We especially enjoyed relaxing in the pool and spa, which were both well-maintained and a perfect way to unwind. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful and pleasant getaway.

It's really a great stay at Sports of Kings Motel very clean room, accommodating staff. My daughter enjoyed the big pool. We have a great soak at the spa pool in our room. Thank you so much. Surely recommended.

The pillows really are the nicest, we even checked the tag to see what brand to try and source our own!. Rooms were comfortable, warm, spacious and clean, bed and linen were so comfy and the private pool was an absolute luxury 😍 Hosts and staff were amazingly welcoming and friendly and just left us to get on with it. Quiet and peaceful, short stroll into town, highly recommend if you want a lovely getaway. My partner and I had such an awesome time, thanks Sport of Kings 10/10 👍

Lovely stay, friendly people, clean, comfortable bed and nice and hot private in room spa. Situated a short drive to town, nice and quiet. Happy with our stay.

Rooms were clean, tidy and spacious. We would definitely stay again. Tv didn't work when we got there. Rang and they came to the room straight away and sorted. The only thing we found was the water pressure was low in the shower. Gave the stay 9/10

Very clean and comfortable lodging. Four of us stayed in unit #1 and there was plenty of room. Staff was kind and welcoming. We enjoyed the hot tub and pool. Good value, would go back.

I thought I reviewed this earlier but it was only a comment so I will post again. We are here now and these people couldn't be any nicer! Rooms are clean and provide everything you would want. I understand why it is rated #1 on trip advisor. Real coffee, a carafe of cream, cookies, spas, bikes, a pool, plenty of suggestions, coupons for attractions, and friendly people. We searched and searched and this exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend this place. Check out my photo of the heated pool too!

This property and management are TOP NOTCH!! The room was perfect!!!! Cozy and warm with EVERY DETAIL thought of for us weary travelers. The beds were comfy and the geothermal heating most welcome on our cold July night. We had a late check in and the hosts (the most professional) were very accommodating. We loved their selection of teas and coffee and the layout of the space was perfect for our needs. Our room was right next to the pool and we didn't hear a thing. The hot tub/Jacuzzi was not hot, but the pool more than made up for it. Our only regret was that we could not stay longer!!

My group of 9 people spent two nights here. The best motel ever! The hosts Tristen and Pete are very friendly and nice persons. After we checked in, they showed us around and introduced many great scenic spots are popular and beautiful in Rotorua. They even gave us many discounts to each scenic spot. If I ever get a second chance to come to Rotorua, I will definitely choose this motel again!
