Sporty Bar & Grill

Visiting the Port Hardy for a couple days and was looking for a nice dinner. Sporty Bar and Grill was the place to eat. We were there on a Friday night so I was able to enjoy the Prime Rib special. Outstanding meal. Great mix of vegetables as well. My wife enjoyed the mushroom ravioli. Also great service!!!

First time I went here, it wasn't the best, but decided to give it another try years later. Was really good. Had the fish and chips, fish tacos, pizza, salad, wine, beer, and desert. Everything was really tasty so I will give it 5 stars.

We decided to take a 3-day trip to Port Hardy recently and had the occasion to eat lunch at Sporty bar and grill. We were lucky to sit at a table by the window with a wonderful view of the water. The menu was excellent for pub fare, and service was one amazing. Kaity was an excellent waitress and she provided us with some hiking tips in the area. I would definitely recommend a stop at this restaurant if you like pub food, the pizza was amazing, the salads were fresh, and the chicken wings were baked and flavorful. A truly excellent experience!

This place was amazing with a sports team, we got our own room off the side and the waiter was fantastic, he came in fully prepared and served over 30 of us on his own. We pre ordered our food and they used the players jerseys numbers to keep tabs on drink orders. It was the smoothest group restaurant experience I have ever had. The food was regular pub food but everyone’s food looked amazing. There is a kids menu as well and the kids loved it. Highly recommend.

I walked in and it was busy - I was advised food would be over an hour. I was fine with that, and asked for a table by the window to watch the sunset, which they happily accommodated. Server Cynthia was great - friendly, personable, efficient. Food came out within half an hour - a decent burger and fries for regional BC. Not award winning food, but the service deserves 5 stars!

Wings were hot, crispy and large. Wedge salad was well presented and delicious - fresh crispy lettuce, feta, avocados and large pieces of real bacon. Spiced ginger cake was yummy and nicely presented. Server was pleasant and attentive. Would recommend.

I was here 10 years ago and recently came back on another fishing trip and made our way over to sportys on our last evening in town. Had some great local island craft beers, great food, I had the fish and chips, the chowder was excellent aswell! Beers were cold, pleasant waitress greet spot to stop if your ever in port hardy!

We came here for lunch. The staff was very friendly, the Pizza was delicious.
