Everytime I visit Kaoshiung I have to stop by this place:
It’s so insane and cool.
It’s tacky but for some resin there is a lot of spirituality here.
The first time I came it was very hot and sunny and this second time it was grey but the charm was still there.

It is a beautiful place. You can stroll alone as long as you bring your own selfie stick. There is a bike trail, so it is more convenient to go around using ubikes. There are plenty of them around the park.

Good exercise walking round the lake and towards the Pavilions. Lots of locals exercising and the younger generation are all hanging out possibly due to the Christmas holidays.
Scenery was beautiful. But since restoration works were going on so the photos didn’t turned out nice.

We went there at night, it was nice, no people everything was lit up, the only problem was, there were lots of bats, we saw turtles in the water. Construction was still going on at the Dragon and Tiger Pagodas (November 2024) which was a little disappointing

I loved visiting at night with the lights giving the place an other-worldly vibe. The massive dragon is amazing to see up close and you can enter through the mouth of the dragon during opening hours. There's a turtle/tortoise pond too! The golden carp sells fish food and there's a machine that tells your fortune.

The tiger pagodas is still being renovated but the other statues are okay, although it needs to be maintained; I went here when the sun was literally high so, I did not enjoy fully. Better to go here around 16:00.

Well worth the trip to see these Pavilions, inside the Dragon and Tiger were closed but that’s okay, we went inside a few others and they’re a bit musty, but beautifully designed inside.
(Outside renovations are completed)
I’d recommend going first thing in the morning to get photos without people in it.
