We had a great experience last night at Spring Shabu-Shabu. you have to come in and check in because there is usually a wait, we waited around 30 minutes to get to our table. Kelly our server did a great job helping us choose all the selection available to eat. I picked vegetable broth, and my husband did kimchi broth. You can pick from all vegetables to meats from mushrooms to noodles. There is a great variety to pick from to make your Shabu-Shabu experience feel at home. We are definitely returning for more thank you Spring Shabu-Shabu for making this night a great night for us.

FIRST TIME HERE BUT NOT THE LAST I WILL BE BACK!!!! Food was amazing had many varieties to choose from and they were all good, the facility was clean, and comfortable the environment was perfect I was able to have conversations with my friends without having to scream at the top of my lungs the best part of this experience was our waitress Kelly M, if you get Kelly M as your waitress she will take care of you I promise you you’ll be lucky. She is friendly and pleasant I told her it was my first time at this restaurant and first time having a hot pot experience. She took time to help give me recommendations and insight on the menu because my friend and I have dietary restrictions she was attentive to us always checked up on us, when we were running low on drinks she would realize and without having to ask she would make sure our cups were full. Kelly M was friendly she would talk with us make jokes and she made it feel like a welcoming environment like she was happy to be there, help us, and take time to talk to us too. I can whole heartedly say Kelly M as our waitress for the first time at this restaurant made the experience better we were lucky to have her as our waitress and when we go back we hope to have her as our waitress again cause she’s the best.

I’ve tried a lot of hotpot places, but this one is truly my number one. Every time I come here, the food is super fresh, the service is fast, and the whole vibe just feels cozy and welcoming. Their mala soup is honestly unmatched — the perfect balance of spicy, flavorful, and comforting. It’s the kind of soup that keeps you coming back because nothing else tastes the same! The ingredients are always high quality, and everything cooks beautifully in the broth. I’ve brought friends here and they end up loving it just as much as I do. The staff is always kind and helpful, especially if you’re unsure what to try. And I HAVE to mention the vanilla + green tea swirl ice cream at the end — it’s my favorite treat! It’s creamy, refreshing, and the perfect finish after a warm hotpot meal. Overall, this place never disappoints. Amazing food, great service, clean environment, and such good value for the quality. Highly, highly recommend to anyone who loves hotpot or wants to try it for the first time!

Get the spicy broth. It’s delicious. Even if you don’t add meat, there is plenty of protein to add. I recommend the lamb if you do. The crabs aren’t soft shell. The egg needs to be broken first. The whole party needs to be there to be seated. Everyone gets their own broth regardless if the size of your party.

This is a great Shabu place : clean , fast service and great food quality. It’s a bit noisy but you can still have conversations without shouting. I’d definitely go again and the ice cream was definitely a great thing to finish off such a great meal 😉 Just a side note that the building has two entrances , the one with the stairs is the easiest but if you end up like me in the rear door , no panic, you just need to walk a bit and take the elevator and you will end there

Went on a Saturday evening for 2. They were really busy and told us it would be a 45 minute wait but it was more like 20 minutes. Totally worth the wait. You can't beat the price for how much food you get. We ordered the pork broth and kimchi broth and enjoyed our choices. We loved all the fresh noodles, vegetables, and the variety of add-ins. The service was also excellent. Would definitely recommend stopping by while in Flushing!

This is my favorite hot pot in the city! It’s always super clean and you can see all of the food prep right behind the buffet. I’ve never had to wait in line and I love how you can really customize your experience however you like.

Absolutely an amazing experience with a plethora of fresh vegetables and noodles, beef, fish, lamb sauces, etc. Super clean place, one of the cleanest restaurants I've ever seen, waitress was really attentive and nice, explained how everything worked. Ice cream 🍦 is really really good. Fresh vegetables don't take long to cook, as well as the meats and fish 🐠. Noodles are also pretty fast. I will definitely be going back to this place, and I highly recommend it. Parking is somewhat of a crunch but just be patient, there are places to pay for parking if you're not the type to drive around looking. Price is definitely reasonable for what you get, and how much you can stuff yourself.

I've been to the Flushing location twice. Once for an event and another time for my birthday with close friends. For those who do not know what Shabu Shabu is it's a Japanese hotpot dish of thinly sliced meat and vegetables boiled in water and served with dipping sauces. Through the years of trying different Shabu-Shabu restaurants and this one is my favorite / go-to. This place stands out because 1) the variety of veggies, noodles, meats, and fish cakes , it's seriously a wide variety 2) the sides are all you can eat (this part is standard but the quality is top notch) 3) the make your own dipping sauce station is my favorite and I probably made about 6 different sauces last time I visited Very quick service. Once you order your base it comes out quickly. I would suggest taking things slow, don't fill up on noodles or rice before your meat comes out to cook. When I go I usually get: pork bone broth , Whitefish plate , Shrimp , Beef ribeye , Pork belly . On top of the unlimited veggies, noodles, rice this (fish and meat option) could be shared with 4 people. Everyone picks their own broth btw. We didn't make a reservation on a Saturday, we just showed up. Do know you will not be seated until the whole party arrives. I just saw on instagram a new location opened in Westbury Long Island! I can't wait to visit that location as I'm sure it'll have the lovely ambiance and the parking situation will be much better.

They have a great selection of noodles, assorted fish balls, and veggies at the basic buffet price point. You would need to pay more for the meat. The food is decent, nothing special. Noodles sort of all taste the same. The dipping station is great and there is a vast selection of aromatics, condiments, and sauces to make your dipping sauce. Pretty standard. The service is okay. Last time I visited, there were some issues with my pot where it didn't boil my food properly. Took a lot of time to fix so I wished they could have moved us to another table instead. They also have green tea ice cream, which is okay. The green tea isn't really that strong but it's good enough for the AYCE buffet price. Would probably come back for a casual lunch or dinner with friends. Cheap, affordable, and AYCE.

First time visiting. Very impressed. Fresh ingredients. Attentive service. Reasonable pricing. Good variety of vegetables and sauces. As long as you are not a big meat eater, this is a place for you. My kids enjoyed it very much too. Starting at 8 years old, you can have your own pot. And of course, free soft serve ice cream. Green tea or vanilla or mixed. Gloves are provided but no one I saw used them. Two things I don't like: first, the seating is congested. Very crowded and feeling no space to walk around the tables. The new Westbury's site doesn't have this problem. Also, minus one star for no longer validate parking ticket. Basement parking available. Used to be $5 for 2-3 hours parking if validated. Now I have to pay $13 plus tips.

We LOVE coming to spring shabu shabu! It's an easy walk once you exit Flushing Main Street off the 7 train. I swear I eat the most vegetables whenever I come here, especially the bok choy! We also love the meat, noodles, cocktails, soft serve (green tea!), etc. The service is always good too btw...most of the workers know us already :D

Spring Shabu place is a Flushing Main Street landmark. If you're looking for a family friendly spot to get some nice good quality food look no further. Service Is fast and easy also it's mostly self service as well since it's all you can eat you need to walk around to get what you want for ur shabu shabu. Since you pay for the meat by portion It's understandably better in quality and tastes good. My fave part is sauce stations and frozen yogurt machine. Enjoy get the pork bone broth best one.

This is one of my favorite AYCE hotpot places overall, and within the NY area. Have been here many many times over my time in NY, and I plan to sneak a visit any time I'm in the area. Strengths of the Spring are obvious, it has a near unbeatable selection of veggies, fish ball products, noodles, and a great/diverse sauce bar; I appreciate the very consistent service I've had over the years and the vanilla/green tea soft serve to boot - all at a competitive affordable price. First thing to note, it is AYCE for everything except for meat and select items like dumplings/sausage. As always, drinks are also extra. Second, there is an adjacent parking lot to the plaza at this location. I usually make a day of it and park a skyview mall simply for convenience/laziness, but it can be pricey. Service: as above very consistent and tentative to water/broth refills. Even when the place gets pack with what looks like in the 100s, the service is excellent. Food: Overall their strength is selection/diversity, I'd say each individual item/broth/meat isn't crazy high quality/memorable. Buffet bar-wise, consists of a wide diverse selection (just going to list what I frequent) of veggies that showcases eggplant, yams, carrots crown daisy. Enoki mushroom is usually there seaweed, black fungus, tofu, tofu skin. Fish cake wise, love getting their CHEESE FISHCAKE. Other than this they have a variety of other fish balls, fish ball with roe. Noodle selection is wide with glass noodle, vermicelli, and green tea noodle as favorites Sauce bar-wise, the best selection I've seen. i always get the shacha (sometimes at the bar it can be on the oily side) and a house mix sauce they have with ponzu. Their in house mix sauces are pretty nice. Broth-wise, I normally get their chinese mala which is a typically porkbone based spicy broth. A little too much on the mild side and somewhat oily but enjoyable nonetheless. Meat-wise, can't go wrong with beef ribeye, lamb, beef top blade, and pork belly. Quality is pretty good and consistently fresh. Dessert-wise, they have softserve which is nice. They have green tea, vanilla, and mixed.

I like the all you can eat veggie concept, which includes non-veggies like fish balls and noodles! I just ordered the base without any meat add on and got quite full. The spicy pork broth was delicious and just the right amount of spiciness. Veggies were all very fresh and tasty.

I've been to Spring Shabu Shabu's Cambridge location, and their Flushing outpost has been on my list for a long time. If you're a vegetarian, this is definitely the best hotpot option in the city. Here, vegetables and a wide selection of noodles take precedence over the meat options. You'll find everything from Korean sujebi, traditionally often served with clam soup, to pumpkin noodles, udon and ramen. I do wish they had a few more tofu options - many hotpot places in the city now regularly carry more obscure tofu options like bai-ye and black sesame tofu.

This was my first time visiting this shabu shabu restaurant, and even around 2 PM, there was still a lot of people eating. Thankfully, there was also plenty of seating. The place felt clean and modern, and the service was quick. I loved the DIY sauce station. There were so many options, and there were even pre-made sauces. The ma la broth wasn't overly spicy or underwhelming either. I loved how you could grab different types of noodles in small portions. The vegetable stations were filled with various options, almost like the produce section of a grocery store. The meat wasn't overpriced for the portions, and it looked fresh. The soft serve wasn't as watery or icy as it was at many self-serve soft serve places. The green tea flavor was amazing, but there was also vanilla and mixed options.

Overall Thoughts: One of the best value spots for AYCE hotpot in NYC/anywhere (especially if you're cutting down on meats) offering a diverse array of fresh ingredients and sauces; individual hot pots; a large, clean space; efficient service; and unlimited delicious soft serve ice-cream (the matcha is a must-try). The base rate is $23 for dinners / weekends and $20 for weekday lunch. Adding meat costs extra per order, but honestly the selection of other items is so expansive that you could be completely fine without even ordering meat or just splitting one order among multiple people. If you do go meatless / low meat, definitely don't skimp out on trying all the different veggies, fish cake types/flavors, and fresh noodle options-- they definitely offer more options for those here than other AYCE hotpot spots I've tried. -- Price (relative to peers): 4.7/5 Food: 4.5/5 Ambience: 4.8/5 Service: 4.8/5 Overall Value: 4.6/5

Even though there's no shortage of hot pot restaurants in and around flushing these days, spring is a wallet friendly place to eat till your heart's delight Variety is amazing. All the asian vegetables, a ton of mushrooms, some fish cakes/balls and an amazing row of noodles to choose from. You can load up plate after plate and get full on healthy items without breaking the bank. My fav noodle is the fresh ramen noodle. Although it does taste different (thicker and gooey this time) than in years past, still my go to. I recommend the pork bone broth- I always drink 2-3 bowls of it after cooking my food and the taste is amazing. Not too salty and the flavor is perfect. I usually add some jalapenos to it for a nice kick. Definitely need a few cups of their green tea ice cream for dessert!! As for meats and seafood, it's honestly a really good deal for their price. It's barely higher than the price you pay at the supermarket so you can feel free to order a few plates of meat without being ripped off. Service: great and attentive. Lots of waiters and bussers running around to take dirty plates and offer you more broth and tea. Cons: Avoid the white portobello mushrooms. They do not wash them and are covered in dirt. They don't have anymore japanese sweet potato and it was one of my favorite hotpot items!! A huge line for parking downstairs when we left about 6:30pm on Saturday. Definitely come before 6pm if you don't want to wait for parking and seating. Parking is $5 for 3hr parking at the underground garage in Queens Crossing with validation.

AYCE individual pot hotpot? Come on, sign me up. I come here quite frequently, and am a big fan of this spot since everything is very customizable to your own tastes. This is a fantastic spot to go when people have dietary restrictions, or when you're just craving hot pot generally. There's no reservations though, so I'd be wary of that and set aside a bit of time to wait. They are fairly quick though, which is nice. The veggies and starches are AYCE and included in the price, but meat and seafood is extra. For the deal and sheer amount of food you can eat, I think this a great deal. Also, it's a great way for me to eat veggies since I often neglect doing so... Also, theres always green tea soft serve at the end, which is just icing on the cake. Great spot, great food, definitely check this out.

Great hotpot! Base price for a weeknight was $23 which includes broth, noodles, fish cakes, mushrooms, leaf vegetables, root vegetables, sauces, and ice cream. Pretty nice variety of each of those categories. Meat and seafood are additional but reasonably priced too. They have beer, wine, and soju. For beer, they have kirin on draft plus an option for frozen kirin. A glass is $5 and a pitcher is $15. Service was attentive. All the self service items were well stocked and continually being replenished. There were gendered restrooms. They no longer validate parking in the building's basement. Atmosphere is casual.

Wow! I love coming here with my husband even if that means taking 2 buses or 2 trains to get there. The pricing is amazing, and all you can eat veggies, sauces, rice, noodles, and even ice cream for 2 hours is great. Everything is fresh and ready to be dunked into your desired soup flavor. The staff are always so nice and attentive to your needs. I just wish I had one close to home, then I'll never cook

This is now one of my favorite AYCE hot pot spots! I came to NY from CA and one of my friends recommended this restaurant. We came in a group of 8, there wasn't a big enough of a table to seat all of us, but we were able to get tables next to each other. I ordered the mala broth, it had a nice balance of spiciness but keep in mind it's on the oilier side. I wish I got a photo of the bar, there is a LOT of selections of veggies, fish/meat balls, mushrooms, noodles, etc. to choose from. The raw meats are at an additional cost, I remember a plate each was maybe around 3-5ish dollars. Don't forget to finish off your meal with soft-serve, they have vanilla or matcha at the station. Service was great, our waitress came by to check up on us every now and then and she even took our group photo before we left. The restaurant is located on the 2nd floor of Queens Crossing Mall.

Majorly downgraded each visit. They used to have this mushroom soup base that was the absolute best but now it's nonexistent. The restaurant is not as busy as it used to be and I'm sure it's because of the wait time, cleanliness or maybe the food options available. I must say, it's very inexpensive compared to other AYCE hot pot spots but if you add on things like meat or seafood, it becomes ridiculous.

Spring shabu was an amazing first time experience for hot pot. The food is fresh and the ambiance is perfect for families. I went with my girls for my birthday then returned again with my mom they all loved it. My girls can't get enough of the soft serve matcha after their meal. Everything is delicious and you can grab as much as you want which is great because our appetites differ. I don't know who makes the kimchi there but I'd totally kiss their hands because they really put their foot in that recipe the waitresses and waiters there are so sweet and informative. The place is super clean. Family friendly not sure if I'd go there for a first date since it can get a little loud but definitely for friends and family.

It's been a few years but was craving this healthy meal. And perfect for a rainy day. Beautiful array of noodles, fish cakes, mushroom and more veggies than you can ever have in one place. Hard not to go overboard since veggies are low caloric. Just remember you have to eat it all. Stuffed but not stuffed like eating Korean bbq. For once I got enough veggies in my system. A well run restaurant and staff was friendly, attentive and asked if there were any allergies. nice. Felt busy but not too overcrowded.

Absolutely in love with this AYCE hotpot spot! Pretty quick to be sat at a table. Friendly staff, the establishment has always been busy when we've gone on Friday nights. Since discovery, me and my partner come and dine here every 2 weeks hahaha. First you order your broth! I love extreme spice so the Mala is my go-to. Awesome selection of fresh veggies, mushrooms, noodles, and sauces. My fiancée enjoys the pork bone broth. Raw meats are available for order at additional cost. Hotpot controls are on underneath right in front of you when sitting. Don't let your broth boil over! I love cooking their corn (always sweet) and their green tea noodles. Finish your meal with vanilla, green tea or swirl soft serve. Small plastic cups or sugar cone. Can't beat the prices for what you're getting. Additional notes: -avoid paying high prices at the nearby private open lot. There is an underground parking lot in the same complex (entrance on 38th Ave). Your ticket can be validated at the restaurant which you'll only pay $5 for up to 3 hours.

Had the best time visiting spring shabu shabu , it's a great value and huge variety to choose. I like my own personal pot or broth ( Chinese mala ) , we ordered Prime beef, Rib eye, pork belly, pork dumplings and seafood combo, they was so fresh. Love the variety of the greens and so many fish ball and noodle to choose from. They have D.I.Y. sauce station which you can personalize your own dipping sauce. Can't leave without trying the matcha ice cream. This is such a fun experience, we are definitely coming again .

June 9 this month i was there with my friend. Place noisy so it looked like everybody rushing. Attendants were attentive and knew their duties and responsibilities, had kniwledge how to order and knew what to recommend. Veggies so fresh , selection of soup were good.. meat superb cut well and served well. Lots of selections of sauces. Table and utensils clean. Lighting not bright to eyes. Restroom clean not messy. Ill go back again maybe next month.. Oh havent seen dessert menu.. suggestion: variety of ice cream yogurt would be awesome after eating soup with meat and seafood..

I went during lunch hour and it was only $20. If you want extra meat it's only about $4-6 which is so worth it. The food definitely matched its price point. The quality of the ingredients and the overall taste were commendable, making it a decent value for the price. The kimchi broth was a bit too spicy for my liking, but it was still good. The ice cream was delicious and creamy and I love how you can get it in a cone or in a cup! The ambiance was calming, with soft lighting and comfortable seating that set the perfect mood. The music also wasn't too loud. Our server was friendly and attentive, ensuring our meal went smoothly. She checked in on us many times and she was nice and accommodating.

Really Ioved our meal here. The amount of fresh veggies, noodles, rice and fish cakes were awesome. Meat and shrimp cost extra but were still at a good price point and arrived fresh. Staff was attentive which also helped. It's a bit loud with music playing on high but overall I appreciated that veggies were fresh and the restaurant is well spaced out and clean. Normally we go to Haidilao but this no frills version of Hot Pot still feels like a party because of the unlimited options.

Located on the second floor of the Queens Crossing Mall, Spring Shabu-Shabu is another excellent spot for hot pot, especially when it comes to AYCE hot pot. Their broths are rich and flavorful, and their menu offers an abundant selection of fresh vegetables, fishcakes, and noodles, as well as quality meats and seafood for an additional charge. I always go for the Chinese mala broth (also called the spicy pork bone broth), fresh ramen noodles, soft tofu, and cauliflower. And, of course, the best way to end the meal is to grab a cone and self-serve ice cream-- I am in love with their smooth and creamy green tea soft-serve, though the vanilla is just as good.

If you're out in Brooklyn, you know you have to leave early before rush hour traffic to make it to Flushing at a reasonable time. There's a paid parking lot across the street and there's plenty of options to park. It's worth it to save time. Then you'll will head upstairs to the hotpot place. When you arrive, it's like a buffet style for veggies, noodles, fish balls, and a make your own sauce station. Unlike a lot of hotpot places I've been to in Colorado, the selection of veggies is huge. This is a great location to bring for those who are vegetarian as well. The meat option was pretty good too with a nice selection. There are a lot of soup options to choose from. Everything that I had tasted fresh and clean. I wish they would have had a better dessert selection though. The ice cream was quite liquify and runny. It's from the ice cream machines. I would skip dessert.

I've been to alottt of hot pot places but this one takes the cake The options are endless !! Literally anything you can think of they have it !!! It is all kept soo clean too which we loveddd and they and always on top of refilling everything . The broth flavors are delicious we absolutely will be eating here over and over again !!the staff is very attentive and constantly checking up on you and cleaning

located on the second floor, this hidden spot was WAY bigger than I thought. The wait was short but we got there at a good time, later on the wait was LONG and it was crowded. The restaurant is huge and there were plenty of options to choose from. You get up and serve yourself and grab whatever you'd like to add to your hot pot! The sauce bar had good options and I loved seeing all the laid out veggies and noodles. Everything is AYCE except for the meat. You order the meats with the servers and they bring it to your table. I think this is a great hot pot spot for vegetarians or those who don't eat a lot of meat. Your meal will be pretty cheap if so! I went with my sister and we don't eat a lot of meat so it was a great value. The broth was delicious and the restaurant was gorgeous and clean. Amazing service as well!!!!

Huge buffet with lots of options. Drinks are not stupid expensive. Everything was really fresh and great. Good for large crowds too! Definitely perfect for a large group.

Great spot for all you can eat hot pot in Flushing! Meats are an extra cost at $5-6 extra and there are a ton of veggies, noodles, fish cakes etc to choose from, along with a station to make your own sauce. Alcohol is also an extra charge, but the ice cream machine is included!

Paid: $23/person [All day hotpot option] Food: 4/5 For a hotpot option that does not include hotpot meats or seafood, their selection of everything else was vast. Service: 3/5 While the majority of the workers were nice and welcoming, we just did not have a good encounter with this one lady when we were paying the bill. Maybe she was just having a bad day, but her tone came off as incredibly condescending. Cost for worth: 3/5 For $20 per person [Hotpot lunch option], I just can't say that this is worth it when there is NO hotpot meat or seafood included. Most of the worth from hotpot comes from seafood and meat.

Must try: Pork Bone Broth! Why: Love this Japanese style Hot Pot! Amazing deal for only $22 you get broth and buffet style AYCE veggies, noodles, and dumplings. The meats were also a great deal for $6 a plate. Our table of 7 people shared beef ribeye (3x), beef belly (2x), pork belly (2x), and seafood combo (1x). Let's talk about the buffet items! Wow, so many dang choices of veggies, noodles, and dumplings! Definitely try as much as you can in the broth! It's healthy! Notes: I've been here a handful of times and it's consistent friendly service, high quality, and an interactive fun dining experience with family and friends. The restaurant is spacious and each person can make their own hot pot. It's always clean, including the bathrooms.

This is usually my go to hot pot spot! It's reasonably priced and the space is large and clean! It can definitely accommodate large groups but try to get there early on the weekends. The veggies are super fresh and we love the fish cake and noodle choices! The ice cream is my favorite! Unlimited green tea absolutely perfection! The sauces and seasoning station is also large and has great variation! It tends to get busy so the wait staff are usually running around a lot so give them a moment and try not to get too upset! They are trying their best!

Upon checking in we were advised there'd be a 25 minute wait, which we thought was reasonable for a Friday evening. We were pleasantly surprised when we received a text (literally a minute later) saying our table was ready! The place is nicely decorated, clean and well organized. Server was very friendly and efficient. There are 5 choices of broths and a huge selection of fresh veggies, fish cakes and noodles included in the buffet. Variety of meats and seafood also available for purchase. To end the meal there's free matcha and vanilla soft serve ice cream. At $23/person the all you can eat buffet is a great deal!

I love this place so much - been here a few times and you can't go wrong with the hot pot here! Specifically, you can not go wrong here for the price and quality of the food. I love all the veggies and noodles at the AYCE buffet. They have really a really fresh and large assortment of veggies and noodles. Also really good assortment of fish cakes and such. They have all the sauces and anything else you could need. For meat options, they only have one pork option but quite a few for beef. They have shrimps and a seafood platter which are not included with the AYCE price. The service is good and the ambience of the restaurant is very family friendly. Love Spring Shabu-Shabu!

This is my favorite and the best hot-pot spot I've been to. I've been here many, many times and the service and food is top-notch and consistent. The vibe is casual, clean, and cozy. You're always greeted when you enter the door and the servers are very nice and attentive. All the veggies and carbs are fresh. I usually order beef as an extra which I recommend to do if you want some kind of protein. I haven't tried the seafood so I can't recommend that. And the best part is that you get free ice cream at the end; it's a self-serve with favors of vanilla or green tea which are both delicious. Over all 10 out of 10 easy. Highly recommend if your looking for the best hot-pot spot not even in just Flushing, but overall NYC. I'll definitely be back again soon! :)

Took my parents here for mom's birthday celebration. My older brother and parents have never been here before. This shabu shabu spot is known to be vegetarian haven. My parents had expressed they wanted more vegetables in their diet rather than the typical seafood/meat hotpot. They didn't think regular hotpot is worth it since they wouldn't eat the meat/seafood so I suggested Spring as it was more vegetarian-friendly and cheap. My parents were very happy and full at the end of the meal. My siblings and I ordered a few plates of meat to share but the dinner's goal was more vegetarian friendly... so we all loaded up more on veggies. I love their selection of freshness veggie and noodles. So much different noodles and you can really see the freshness of the veggies. The mushrooms are still firm, no wilted greens and everything was stocked well. My only concern was that I saw some non-asian guests (seems like tourists as they spoke limited english) was using tongs as their own personal tong. They were hoarding the tong to grab everything. That is Cross-contamination! As someone that have food allergies, I didn't like that they didn't follow the rules and use the dishes' tongs for that dish. I even told them but they didn't understand. This was in the frozen seafood/fishball section. I have a crustacean allergy but I can eat certain seafood. They (couple) were using 1 tong each and going back and forth in that section grabbing items with the same tong. That would explain in that area (noodle section as well) some had missing tongs and others had 2 tongs on the same plate holder. I pointed, explained and said I needed a tong of a certain dish to grab. They looked confused, the lady gave me her tong of that missing dish and then grab the nearest tong to grab other items ‍. There are lobster and shrimp balls there... I can't eat those but can have the fishballs and fried fish tofu cakes. That turn me off and I didn't grab anything else afterward. Other than that, food quality was good. Service was slow... they took awhile to bus dirty/empty plates and to refill water/tea and soup broths. It also took them awhile to bring tea... we asked 3 different staff at the beginning (before ordering, during ordering and after ordering) for hot tea for my parents. They brought glasses of cold water and a can of coke but no tea until way after we started cooking our pots. Suggestion: also have Chinese signs of each dish for our elderly Asians. My parents can't read English and just looked at each ingredient to figure out what is it. Yes, each ingredients can be obvious but there are some that is unknown if not labeled like those frozen shrimp balls vs fishballs vs jalapeno scallop balls. The noodles were different in texture, shape and colors which would be awesome if also labeled in Chinese. I noticed my parents grabbed swiss chard which isn't a typical Chinese vegetable and I didn't know how to say that to them but they thought it was a pretty color (purplish).

Price per person is $22.95 for dinner. That includes all the selections at the buffet and your broth. The meat/seafood is additional. You can go wild or you can be selective and just enjoy the large variety of vegetables. I honestly didn't miss all that meat and had a healthy alternative to AYCE. The vegetables can be filling as they also have fresh handmade ramen too. Grab the pitcher of beer! It's a much better deal even if it's just 2 people. The servers are always attentive and courteous. I love that service. It can get crowded on weekends so make sure you plan ahead. They have parking 3 hours for $5.00 but you need it validated. It's in the same building. Try to avoid that rip off of a parking lot across the street. Lol!

After the tragic closing of my favorite hot pot place (Lan Ting) I have been trying to find a suitable substitute. Spring Shabu Shabu is currently a serious contender. The restaurant appears new and modern and was very hospitable to a solo diner. I was seated immediately on a Sunday after noon and was impressed by the affordable price ($22 for the buffet.) The Mala broth was comparable to most of the chain hot pot places in the city, maybe slightly less spicy. The buffet contains every vegetable that exists, some I've never seen in hot pot before, and a huge selection of different types of fish cake and noodles. The selection here is wider than any other hot pot place I've been to for a vegetarian. The one down side? No spam. The meat options are more limited but high quality and come in large pieces. The portion size of each plate feels right for a single person. More than anything else, I need to commend this restaurant on the cleanliness of their buffet and sauce bar. The entire time I was there, even though the restaurant was full of people, the buffet looked picture perfect and abundant. It was constantly being refilled and wiped down by the staff and I was very impressed by their ability to keep it looking spotless consistently despite the constant flow of people. 11/10 service here, I was very pleased with my experience. Also I don't know if it's just been a long time since I've had soft serve, but the soft serve here is absolutely incredible. Definitely hits after a hot pot meal.

Spring Shabu-Shabu provides a solid and consistent experience. I haven't had a visit yet where the staff that attend to you at the table are always observant and at the ready. Whether it's to refill your broth, refill your drinks, or bring you extra napkins, they always seem to check just as you're thinking about needing those things. Unlike some other hot pot buffets with awkward island layouts, what they have here flows pretty linearly so the amount of bumping into other patrons is pretty minimal. The raw ingredients look fresh and well kept and tended. No wilted vegetables or melted ice tables that make you wonder about their food safety.

Came here with my family yesterday and LOVED it! Our waitress Yeonju was very attentive and had a beautiful smile! Manager EJ was also very nice and let us know about how this place works as it was our first time! The place is huge with lots of seating and beautifully decorated. AYCE Shabu Shabu with varieties of vegetables, noodles and fish cakes! The meat have to be bought separately but it's about $5 per 4oz which is good for about one person! We all did mala spice soup which was very flavorful. You can also go make your own dip sauce on the side, lots of choices! Perfect dessert at the end, AYCE ice cream! There was matcha, vanilla and a mix of both. The matcha was actually sooooo good! Best way to end the dinner. We will definitely be back with more family.

I have been going to Spring for a while and I find that it is a great place to take those new to hotpot. I just wish meat was included in the AYCE price. Food: 5/5 WARNING: All food here is raw and needs to be cooked! They do not give instructions on how long to cook the food so, you cook at your own risk. I love cooking so this one of my favorite restaurants due to the large selections of veggies, sauces, and noodles. They even have raw eggs for adventurous patrons like me. They also have multiple sauces you can try or make yourself for a personalized experience. With one meat (pork belly is my favorite) at the dinner base price after tip, I spent about $35pp. Service: 3/5 My most recent visit their service was pretty lacking. I had to often signal my server to refill my pot with broth and give us napkins. They let our plate pile on our table and did not even check on us which happened every other time before. So I was disappointed but, luckily my friend did not seem to mind so, it was still a great evening. All in all, I do not mind going here for lunch or dinner. However, because their AYCE price does not include meat I will probably go to other places if I plan to eat more meat that night. But, this place is nice for those that are more veggie forward in what they like in their hotpot.

One of my favorite hotpot joints in NYC. Spring shabu shabu provides great variety of vegetable and noodle items (AYCE) and a small selection pay per item for proteins. Unlike most hotpot places in nyc, shabu offers its ayce selection buffet style and each person gets their individual pot. One may argue it's less worth because it is not ayce meat - but it helps me not overeat meat which I do appreciate on occasion. Luckily for us, on the Saturday night we came, we were able to get seats for 2 after a short 15 minute wait. Other waits for Flushing hotpot around the area at that time were 45 min-3 hours... Highlights from their ayce buffet - their many greens (favs include watercress), their many noodles (favs include green tea noodles, pumpkin noodles), and a great mushroom and fish ball assortment (favs include oyster mushrooms, lobster balls, fish tofu, Masago fish balls, dry bean curd). I always look forward to their complimentary on tap green tea soft serve. It's the perfect end to a fantastic shabu meal! They have vanilla too - and you can do a swirl of both vanilla and green tea if desired. My only wish is that they provided spider strainers instead of slotted spoons - spider strainers would have made fishing out food from our pots much easier.

My first time experiencing hot pot and i HIGHLY recommend it. I went with a friend that loves hot pot and she recommended that this be my first place to try. When you are seated you choose a broth- i went with the vegetable mushroom broth. They then as if you want a protein, that is an extra charge depending on what you pick. When i went i wasn't eating meat and i believe that base price was $20 for all you can eat. I loved that they had a huge vegetable selection and a whole section just for mushrooms! I was pleasantly overwhelmed with all that i could choose from. Since it's an all you can eat restaurant the servers refill your broth when it runs low. Another dope thing is you can make your own sauce. There is a station with everything you can think which was an added plus. Lastly their matcha soft serve ice cream is was everything! I would go back for the ice cream alone.

Incredible variety of noodles, veggies, meats and sauces. It's so fun to pick your noodles, veggies, sauces, fish cakes etc at a serve- yourself gigantic station and then you choose broth and meat to be brought to your table. Amazing for big groups and a fun night out. I can't wait to go back!

Spring is one of me and bf's favs when the weather gets cold. While the meats are not AYCE, the veggies, noodles, rice, sauces, and desserts were. Always a good time when we come. We always leave satisfied with full and happy bellies!

This place is great. Food is good, service is even better. Meats charged separately, but it's fairly priced. Don't miss out on the soft serve at the end which is kind of an icy texture (maybe frozen yogurt?) My kids ask to come here all the time. Kids 12 and up are full price.

Spring is a budget friendly AYCE hotpot place. I personally like how meat is charged separately, so it takes away the pressure to eat so much meat to make the AYCE experience "worth it." The AYCE price includes a wide variety of vegetables, fish balls, and noodles. Sauce bar and ice cream are included in the AYCE price. For meats, they are around $4-5 per plate, which is honestly not too bad. Giving it a 4 star because the broth is pretty basic and I did end up having to use a half broken cooktop. The worker didn't offer to have us switch table so it was a little inconvenient. Overall, if you are don't eat a lot of meat, this will be a perfect place for you (~$30 after tax & tips, including meat). If you only go to AYCE hotpot place for meat, I'll recommend going to Happy Lamb Hotpot (down the block)

I have never tried hotpot before but I am glad I tried this place as my first hotpot place. I got many different things to try. I would say you should come here with a VERY empty stomach or else you are gonna have a hard time finishing a whole plate of food. I would definitely come back here to try more things. I got the veggie broth and it was okay but I think you may need to add some sauce to the broth to give it more flavor. I wanted to try more things but I got super full. Overall I had a great experience here! Would totally recommend coming here!
