SpringHill Suites by Marriott New Smyrna Beach

We visited for 5 nights at this Marriott and it wasn't what I expected for a beachfront Marriott property. We use Marriott exclusivly for travel and this hotel was worn down and in need of a lot of love. The location is amazing for New Symrna beach with easy access to all the strip and steps onto the beach. The staff was nice and did their best to help. The rooms are small and in rough condition. The desk workspace looked like it was from Ikea and had scratches and water damage to the top. The bed was worse with a permanent dip where you sleep, almost like the springs gave up years ago. This was brought to their attention, however they were fully occupied and didn't have a remedy. Pool and outdoor areas needed cleaning and the firepits featured in the ads didn't work. We would definetly go back once the hotel has it's next refresh. For now, I would compare it to a spring break motel.

The staff at the hotel were incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. The lobby area was clean and provided a relaxing spot to enjoy breakfast or take a break. The beach is just steps from the door and absolutely beautiful.|Unfortunately, the cleanliness of our room didn’t meet expectations—the bathroom and bedding had hair that wasn’t ours. Because of this, we chose not to leave a tip for housekeeping, which is unusual for us.|Overall, we loved the location and hospitality, but we hope the hotel improves its room-cleaning standards.

We stopped here for a night on our way through and it was such a nice stay! Everything was so clean and nice! The rooms were cozy and the breakfast (with a little Starbucks in the breakfast area) was so nice as we can look at the ocean while we ate! We will definitely return here with our family!

A bit of a disappointment! Was quite expensive for the time of year and how early we booked. Room looked out at the 7 eleven?! Could hear loud stomping above us at night and the worst part was the bad odor of the bedding. Bed was comfortable, but pillows smelled like sweat...yuck! Towels had a funky odor too. I brought lavender pillow spray to help. The refrigerator/freezer exploded a soda we had in the fridge section, what a mess to clean up? Convenient parking on site and at least the garage elevator was close to our room. Staff not the friendliest. Seems to be the norm in Florida these days?

We have stayed here a few times, each time the front desk is very accommodating. The staff from breakfast, to coffee to bar is just a pleasure to be around. |The housekeeping staff is very kind, rooms are spacious, view (when on a higher floor) is sooo relaxing.|A firepit by the beach is just heavenly.||We have an upcoming stay next week but had to write this review now b/c we are coming in this time for 2 rooms as a family of 8. This is the present for our family to celebrate the holidays together.|The concierge/front desk person (woman) was so kind when speaking to me and helping with special requests, I cant wait to interact with your whole team for a blissful holiday.|Keep up the great work team Springhill NSB!!!

I went here for the first part of my winter vacation in florida, it was great! Its really convenient lots of things to do near by and the beach is right there. The breakfast was like any hotel breakfast except they had waffles which I haven't seen from a hotel. My room had 2 beds so I didnt have to cuddle. Family is very close to the location so I visited. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This place has really gone downhill. We booked an oceanfront room for our 20th wedding anniversary and Springhill really disappointed us. When we checked in, they told us they didn’t have any ocean front rooms available. They didn’t give us the champagne service I requested either. I know it sounds pretentious, but it was our 20th wedding anniversary and screwing us over like that really sucked! We didn’t let it ruin our trip as new Smyrna beach has plenty to offer. Also, the place has some serious maintenance issues. We’ve stayed here a couple times a year for the last few years and each time we visit, it seems to be getting worse. This place is in dire need of a paint job. I know the ocean beats up the exterior of a building, but everyone else seems to be maintaining their properties around you Marriott. It’s unfortunate, but I don’t think we will be back for a while. There’s plenty of better options around for that price point!

Great 2 day stay at Springhill Suites. Our original plan was for one night but we loved the hotel, the location, the beach and our oceanfront room so much, we stayed an extra night. I couldn’t imagine a better place to stay at New Smyrna Beach. The hotel is right on Flagler avenue close to all shops and restaurants. This was a very memorable stay for us that we won’t forget.

If you want to stay in the quieter side of the building then request to be on the north side that doesn't face the noisy 7-11 on the west side of the building, or the beach ramp / Flagler Ave on the south side of the building where's there's also noisy bars. The beach access is good, the check-in at the front desk was pleasant, and the room we were in (221) was very clean and nicely designed. The room itself was also quiet and the bed / pillows were clean and comfortable. The shower head pressure was phenomenal- some of the best we've ever experienced in any hotel. The hallway was noisy at times, but late at night it was pretty quiet. The entertainment sucked - karaoke and a live performer. It was so bad, it was like being in a lounge-lizard bar. But the bar drinks were good and very friendly service. The lady playing the piano with electronic music sang off-key (a lot), but was very sweet. Get rid of the piano - it just doesn't fit the ambiance of the hotel lobby. We literally almost check ourselves out of the hotel, when we saw and heard what the entertainment was like. The pool was packed with screaming kids jumping in and out of it, until 10 PM. But at last the parents gathered them up and got them inside, which made the rest of the time out by the pool quieter and relaxing. Appreciate the front desk clerk putting us on the 2nd Floor so we would be above the little league baseball team on the 1st Floor. We skipped breakfast, because of the little league baseball team kids running around the lobby and being just kids. The room was a bit pricey, but I was able to use my AMEX rewards to save some money.

Had a great short stay at this beachside hotel. The location is everything! Not only is it right on the breach, but it's walking distance from all types of restaurants and night life. The attendant was extremely kind upon check and already had my key ready to go. Room was much more spacious than I expected. Nice seating area and kitchenette area with a refrigerator and a microwave. Nice sized bathroom and huge walk in closet. Perfect desk space if you need to set up your computer. They also have a nice sized gym on site. There is also guest laundry. The lobby area is beautifully appointed. There is even a piano and a full bar. They have patio seating as well as fire pits at night. Stays come with complimentary breakfast. Breakfast was decent. Coffee was delicious. Mini store on site for essentials. Private, paid parking garage on site. Hotel was clean and the beds were very comfortable. I recommend and would return.

Excellent beach front hotel, great breakfast, well kept, clean, friendly staff, larger rooms, all around a great hotel. Would have loved to stay longer than one night, I will return next time I am in the area. Would be great spot for a team meeting as well.

Just drove up from Miami to meet my brother who came down from Jacksonville. We checked in for two nights with two cars and they got $80 for parking ($20/night per vehicle). I realize parking is at a premium out here, but almost $100 for parking for two nights assures that I will never be back. If I wanna pay that price for parking, I'll stay on South Beach ‍.

I always stay here when I'm in town for work. The staff is always friendly and helpful, everything is always clean and the lobby/seating area is open and welcoming. Complimentary breakfast is fairly basic but the view always makes it enjoyable. The rooms are modern and I've been able to hear and see the ocean from every one I have stayed in.

We had a good experience overall. Great location and one of the few hotels (rather than inns or motels) that is right on the water. Flagler Ave is home to shops and restaurants so this location lets you easily stroll and check them out. The first room they placed us in had a really strong odor (musty, cat -ish). We hoped it would dissipate but when it didn't I let the staff know. They promptly moved us to a new room. We had a partial ocean view (which really does mean partial) but it wasn't really worth that significant rate increase. The pool looks over the water so you can enjoy ocean with less of the hassle of beach prep. Breakfast ended a bit earlier than expected but there are other places nearby to grab a bite. Our room was quiet and clean and was spacious. We would stay here again.

Service was great in the bar area. The gentleman working the bar was very short with guests but the rest of the team was great. Just looked like he was having a rough time some days when busy. Enjoyed the location best part of property. No mention of Marriot status and given farthest possible room from the beach even booking months in advance. Would be cool to have valet parking.

I decided to write this review in the hopes to boost up the hotel ratings. First off, I was truly worried and concerned about the fact that we had 3 surfboards piled on top of our tiny Prius, and whether or not we would have sufficient clearance from the 84" height of the garage. Instead of being bothered by this concern, the hotel staff gave my husband a parking pass to park all 5 days in any of the outdoor 15 min hotel registration parking. Secondly, the lobby is not only IMMACULATELY clean and well decorated, it smells amazing! Not that hotel stuffy smell, but rather, if Glaze and the outdoor ocean breeze had a love child together! (I love passing through the lobby just to get to the pool or beach). Lastly, the hotel itself is in such a prime location on Flagler. Right on the beach, in the corner by all of the restaurants. There is a tiny walkway near the pool to get down to the beach, and two small showers - one out by the stairs, the other inside the gated pool area - to rinse off sand. I know most guests aren't surfers like my surfer family is, but easy beach access and showers to rinse are an ABSOLUTE must to make things easy carrying our boards. Everyone is hospitable and friendly. The rooms are extremely spacious and clean. Thank you! It has only been day 1, but I don't imagine my next 4 days being any different. We are SO appreciative of how accommodating everyone is!

Nice location and was always nice in past. But this last experience was different. We were checked into a dirty room. The electronic card did not work to enter the hotel from outside, the garage or the elevators. The Front Desk official gave us a better and more accessible room, but didn't tell us about the electronic card. The reason why the electronic card was even more of a problem was all of the luggage carts were in the basement and it what is an able to come back up to the first floor or the elevator without having a plastic card . Entering the garage was impossible with the electronic card. We had to back out, drive around, get another plastic card. It would just help in the future to turn that off entirely for myself another guests (until fully operational) because it became a continued problem, entering bldg and elevator as shared above.

We love to visit New Smyrna Beach, and always stay the Springhill Suites. Rooms are always very clean, nice breakfast buffet and staff is always so friendly and the location is the best, right on the beach. Upon arrival, we had a slight problem with our reservation, and Colleen did all she could to make it right. She is so upbeat and friendly. Every time we would see her, she would ask how everything is, gave us great suggestions on things to do. Colleen goes above and beyond her duties as a front desk employee. Thank for a wonderful visit. Will definitely be back again on our next visit.

Some very mixed feelings about this hotel. Some very nice aspects but some parts need help. The entrance to the hotel property is right before the beach entrance on Flagler. When the beach is busy, it can get difficult to get to the hotel. The lobby is not clearly marked but located just on the right as you pull in. The reception is big and bright. Lot so of tables and chairs. There is a bar area straight ahead as well. I requested an early check-in. But when I got to the hotel, the room wasn't ready. So I took the family to walk the street and get something to eat. When we got back, the room still wasn't ready. The representative at the desk got on the phone to try to expedite things. We eventually did get into the room - earlier than the normal check in time. The hotel is right on the beach. You walk through the lobby and out to the pool or continue on to the beach. Interestingly, they have the various gates and doors set up with key coded locks. But for the gates, just reach over to open. The doors to the lobby weren't locked. Those on the beach not staying at the hotel have access to the bar and bathrooms in the lobby. For a brand new hotel, the rooms are okay but already starting to wear. Why would a beach hotel put carpeting down? The sand just wears out the carpet so fast. Housekeeping did a good job of keeping the room clean and accommodating to my requests. I think this was the first and only time that I actually had a member of housekeeping leaving me a note. (Kudos to Brittany!). The room setup is interesting. - You walk into a small seating area with a sleeper couch and ottoman. There is also a chair at a desk. I wish the chair was of the rolling type. - There is also a coffee machine and a refrigerator and microwave in the cabinet below. - The bathroom door is directly across from the beds - not my favorite setup. Why don't hotels use exhaust fans in bathrooms? Or is really that quiet? - We had a room with queen beds. These are decent - but not great. - The room does have quite a number of power outlets. - The TV is smart. You can hook up directly to your Netflix or other accounts. One big area of concern is parking. There is a small upper area and a larger lower level. The upper areas is designed for over-sized vehicles and handicap parking. But too many cars are parked up there. When we got back from an excursion, we had an issue finding a parking spot. Unfortunately our truck exceeded the height limit on the underground garage. When I asked about where to park, the person at the front desk was not very helpful. She told me to park anywhere where I didn't block someone in. Please direct the customers to park below or find additional parking for those of us with luggage boxes on the roof. On Friday night, the lobby had a piano player. That was a nice touch as we were able to get a drink from the bar and enjoy the music. Another improvement area... how about a wash off point for those coming from the beach. There is one by the pool but why should people stop off at the pool to wash off? So instead, people drag sand throughout the hotel and back into the room. Here are some tips that may help... Tip #1 - if you aren't ocean front, try to get a room on the top floor so you can have an ocean view even if you are looking at the roof of the building across the way. Tip #2 - A room on the north side is probably a lot quieter than the south side as that is where the various bars and clubs are located. We were on the north side so no noise! Tip #3 - If you want to lounge at the pool, get there early. The pool deck isn't that big. They need more lounge chairs. We saw chairs that weren't touched for hours but people left their towels and other items there to reserve them. Tip #4 - if you drive an over-sized vehicle, find a spot and don't leave it. You may not find one when you get back.

We booked a ocean front room and had a fantastic view of the ocean from the 2nd floor. We actually booked one room and my in laws booked an ocean front room also. Upon arriving, only our room was ready but within about 45 my in laws room was ready and they were able to give them the room next to ours and a $50 credit to the room. Both rooms were very clean upon arriving because of covid they were not doing cleaning every day but were more than accommodating when we needed something. I do wish the floors in the rooms were laminate because the carpets are a bit stained but not a surprise with a beach front hotel. Sand, salt and humidity will do that to any building and didn't disturb us at all. Breakfast was great! They had waffles, cereal, muffins, breads, bagels, yogurt, coffee and juices every morning. They rotated a menu of eggs, sausage, hash, bacon, biscuits and gravy. Plenty of seating inside and outside. Beach access was great and the pool was an added benefit to the stay. Our only problems with the hotel itself was that the air conditioning unit in our room was very loud but my in laws was not nearly as loud as ours. Also only 1 elevator was working while we were there, the other was always out of service. The hotel is on Flagler avenue which can get very loud with people revving their loud engines or playing very loud music. That is obviously not the hotels fault but something to think about if you are looking for a more secluded quiet area. Overall we enjoyed our stay and plan to be back. The few issues we did have won't deter another visit.

Rooms were cozy and comfortable. Beach access is the biggest plus. However, we found plenty of mildew in the shower, black mold coming through the wall by the AC unit, and gaps in the flooring. The most frustrating part was having to pay extra for parking in the hotels own private access deck. Not to mention the sand all over the lobby at all times of day, and the broken elevators.

I didn't have many expectations, this was just an easy place to stop while driving south, but the hotel was wonderful. I arrived mid-week during the off season, and was checked in quickly with a room upgrade - beach side! The room was clean and large, I appreciated the fridge, and wished I had time to enjoy the balcony. The next morning, the continental breakfast had GLUTEN FREE muffins *and* bagels. I have been gf for 5+ years and have never seen Udi's at a continental breakfast - such a treat. Getting a towel to go to the beach was easy though I did expect them to just be sitting out. If I find myself near New Smyrna again, will stay here without hesitation.

Stayed here on September 23-24 and it is gross. Right on the beach, but there was mold on the walls and roof in our room... it wasn't very clean (especially important in these times) with crumbs on the chair. Sink backed up, towels were gross with some black stains on them! All of these photos are from room 319. We've stayed in this brand hotel in so cal a few times and it was a nice basic hotel. But for this Marriott category it is NOT worth it!!

My husband surprised me for our 15th anniversary to stay at this hotel. All the staff we encountered, being a handyman, someone sweeping randomly in the lobby, the front desk-all of them were very nice and friendly! Which unfortunately, is rare these days. We noticed and we loved that! The room was nice and clean. Air-condition worked great, which was greatly appreciated in our Florida heat! Bed and comforter were super cozy and comfortable! They had wonderful smelling Paul Mitchell body wash shampoo and conditioner toiletries included. I do wish the showerhead was a handheld one. And I wish they would put shelves in there that can hold your things better. The wired ones everything tries to fall through and fall over. The water was nice and hot though. Girl that cleaned our room the first time didn't pick up the towels off the floor and I had to call to get them to come back and clean it all the way. But I still didn't sweep the floors and the bathrooms. Otherwise everything else was fine. Our view was a 7-Eleven so that was not the greatest LOL. We were hoping to get upgraded or get a better room with an ocean view but they were apparently all booked up. And when my husband called before we even got there they said if we had booked directly with them we could have gotten an upgrade but we booked with Hotels.com. Included complementary breakfast was lacking a bit. Eggs seemed instant and they alternate every other day with different items. Waffle station had sugar-free caramel sauce and syrup and that's it. No whip cream, no strawberries or other fruit. Down the line there were bananas with the eggs and sausage. They did have sausage gravy with biscuits one day. That was OK.

Front desk tries to mandate face masks to some guests and not others. Just walked thru with suitcases & observed guests without masks. We come back to lobby and she jumps us to put them on. Wont ever be coming back.

I consider this place my 2nd home, not just because I try to stay there as often as I can, but because of the care and kindness they have always shown me, my friends, and my family. From checking in to all of my favorite times hanging out near the bar. Emma, Gen, and Jose have always treated my mom and I like family. I could go on and on about everyone else who has been gracious to us. The hospitality and service they give has always been above and beyond. Love this place.

Our family booked multiple rooms for this weekend and experienced numerous issues and have multiple observations for the management: The lobby is beautiful and spacious with wonderful decor. However, that's where my great impression stops. -We noticed someone was stuck in the elevator on Saturday and the fire department came. The elevator was finicky all weekend and the on Sunday one of the elevators was not functional. -The rooms were nicely decorated but oddly designed. Why is the only mirror in the whole room in the bathroom? Why is the bathroom so narrow and the closet so large? -The deck area is nice for socializing. Luckily we had overcast skies but I can't imagine sitting there in the direct sun in 100-degree weather. Tip: get a canvas cover for part of the deck to have some shade. -An indoor-only bar at a beach hotel doesn't make much sense to me. Tip: if you can't re-design the bar, have pool-side service. -There is sand everywhere. Everywhere. There's no place to wash your feet when you come in from the beach. The walkway is pretty narrow from the beach to the hotel and causes a bottleneck. Also, the pool gate swings out, which slows down traffic. -The lobby bathrooms were pretty gross multiple times throughout our stay. We found out on the last day about the pool-side bathrooms. Tip: Increase signage and walking flow so more people would use these bathrooms. -The pool deck and pool water were full of sand due to the only wash area being ON the pool deck. This just makes no sense. -Why are the screws holding up the beautiful new white balconies already rusted? This is an eyesore from the beach and deck and very noticeable. As frequent Marriott customers, we will be calling the corporate office to express these concerns.

Rooms are beautiful - beds are amazingly comfortable - everything is conveniently located within walking distance - it's Right - On - The - BEACH!!! Staff is awesome. They take care of anything and everything. I just haven't needed to think about anything - What more can you ask for?

Stayed here for my birthday quick check in late check out beautiful oceanfront room amazing hot and cold breakfast pool & restaurant

We came for five nights to this hotel to celebrate our 40th anniversary. We splurged on oceanfront view and were looking forward to the luxury of having our bed made up each day and a hot breakfast awaiting us each morning. We had a lovely time because we were there with one another and the beach was beautiful, but it could have been a better experience with some improved communication. I expected our room to be made up. It initially was not. Upon calling the desk, we found that because of Covid, rooms were only being made up between guests. My husband expressed dismay that we were not informed when making reservations or checking in. Soon Tiana arrived with a smile and very adeptly freshened our room while we stepped out. She and her services were a bright spot in the stay. We also expected the hot breakfast that is characteristic of the Springhill brand. Again, we weren't made aware of this policy, and were greeted with only cold selections. Eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy are served by an attendant only Friday-Sunday. It bears mentioning that every employee wore masks throughout our stay and were clearly respectful of the necessary, but frustrating Covid distancing standards currently required. With one exception, most all the staff were professional, friendly, and customer-focused. The location of this property is stellar and there are plenty of nearby businesses in walking distance. Knowing the limitations before you go should help make your stay better.

Had some friends in town that planned to stay here for 1night but stayed here for the rest of their vacation because they loved it so much !!!.Beautiful room!! So clean !! Staff was friendly and helpful.These are people who are verrry hard to please,so Thank you to the entire staff for a job well done.I got to enjoy my friends for a few more days and they didnt have a SINGLE thing to complain about,which has never happened !! Thanks again !!

The location is amazing. If you can get an ocean view room with a balcony it's worth the cost. It is unfortunate that at less than four years old, things are not being kept up around the building. The couch in my room is stained and warn. The carpet is damp and dirty ( bring flip flops), the light is out in the bathroom, I called two days ago and it's still not fixed. The water faucets for washing off sand from the beach are broken, the shower to rinse off before going in the pool is broken. The result is that there is an abundance of sand in the pool and throughout the hotel halls. There are two fire pits, only one works, and I was told it's been like that for over a year. Breakfast yesterday was powdered eggs, so I'm skipping it today. I'm a big Marriott fan, I'm disappointed in this one. Such a great location, they should do better. Oh, and you need to use better nails when building on the beach. All the outside has rust where the nails are.

Thanks to Dusty for helping us get the bed height right for Mike. You helped us cheerfully and didn't bat an eye when we asked if you could remove the bed frame. This was a GREAT first night of vacation

Nice rooms and comfortable beds. Breakfast was good, too. Had a girls weekend and we all enjoyed ourselves.

Joeanne was the most hospitable bartender the whole trip. Truly made the experience. Staying here for a few nights and definitely recommending to our family and friends in Florida.

Two stars because the rooms are nice and the bar is great. Service is terrible. Couldn't get ice for our room because they allow guests to fill up their coolers. Asked an employee where I could get ice or find a vending machine and was completely ignored. Asked for a late check out at 12 instead of 11 and was told they already gave out 30 late check outs so no lol

We recently had a large group stay at Springhill Suites New Smyrna Beach. It was a wonderful experience and the Sales staff took very good care of us with getting all rooms set up. This hotel is absolutely beautiful...a top notch staff...and the views of the ocean were spectacular. The hotel is on Flagler Avenue...close to fantastic restaurants and shops...and conveniently located to the beach...a great place for all our needs. Thank you Springhill Suites New Smyrna Beach for making our stay a lovely one!

Amazing location, new building but bathroom was not clean with hair on the floor. No any respect to Spg and Marriott members. With 70% occupancy they 'did not have a room' to upgrade, instead they downgraded to parking view. And late check out was not available just because Frontdesk people did not even try to accommodate this request. They were ignorant and not attentive at all. Never stay here again.

Paid extra for a oceanfront room only to find that it's only an ocean view room. No balcony....nothing....you just look out of a side window down the street and see the ocean. Very misleading from what you are told when booking. Be careful if you are paying extra like I did. Also, I was told early check in should not be a problem. We planned accordingly only to find that we could not get to our room until regular check in time. Again...misleading from the phone conversation. We were told that we could park in the garage and go to the beach or pool until check in however it's very inconvenient and you need a key to access the pool, etc which of course they don't give you. Also requested a late checkout since we checked in later than we wanted and we are a rewards member only to be told they were booked and 12:00 would be the latest. Must say we are pretty disappointed with this new hotel. They should really work on their customer service especially at the front desk when you are checking in. Not a good representation of your company. Will be interesting to see what management says.

We enjoyed the hotel and the front office was very accommodating with our room requests. The rooms were clean and beds comfortable. The only things that need attention are: 1) Replace the frosted glass bathroom door with a solid door. The light is way too bright for people trying to sleep in the beds. 2) The patio area needs its own water area to wash sand off before entering the hotel. Other than that it was an enjoyable stay

I cannot believe the experience I just had. Used this venue as a funeral reception. At 10:00, when the occupants were saying their goodbyes, an employee named Elise shouted that the police had been called and anyone remaining would be forcibly removed. Have never been addressed so disrespectfully to a crowd of friendly people. Very disappointed with how the situation was handled and would never recommend to a family looking for friendly service.

STAY AWAY! Manager Elise could not have been more rude and disrespectful to our family who was staying for a funeral. At 10pm, she came out into the lobby and started screaming at our group to leave the premises, saying that she had called the police on us for being in the lobby after hours. Despite spending sufficient money on rooms, food, and drinks during a time of little to no travel, we were treated TERRIBLY. We had a night of nothing but positive memories and remarks, which were ruined by her complete lack of human decency.

I highly recommend this hotel! We stayed at this Marriott location in the middle of the summer when it was very busy. It is located right on New Smyrna Beach! We arrived earlier than expected and they let us check in early! The room was clean with a large shower and very comfortable. The pool was nice. The service was excellent. The continental breakfast included in booking the room was wonderful. The location couldn't be better. It is on the main street in New Smyrna Beach...walking distance to restaurants and shopping. The staff was so nice and accommodating. And the price was reasonable for beach front! We couldn't have had a better visit!

I am a lifetime platinum Marriott member. I arrived at this hotel at 1 pm today. I was told the my 4th floor ocean view room was not yet available but I would get a call when it was ready. I never received the call. I returned to the room before midnight to find my room was given away. It is not 12 32 am and I was just told that I would have to go to another hotel. My recommendation is to avoid this hotel at all costs. I wish I could give this place 0 stars

Matthew at the front desk is absolutely the best! He was very accommodating and friendly to us during our stay. He went above and beyond during our stay to make us feel at home at this hotel! He is truly the best

Just got back from NSB Springhill Suites visit. I am not a negative complain writer by nature. I have been a NSB visitor since my parents lived here for 30 years. Review. The view is to die for. Especially the ocean front rooms with balconies. The security is excellent.. Parking Garage under the resort $10 .00 a day be prepared. the breakfast is OK however it's almost the same meat everyday, no bacon all week. The hot water is almost non existent and the flow sucks. If you need to wash your hands run the water while you use the toilet and by the time your finished the water will be luke warm . A pigeon with a green band on his leg was camped out the whole time on the little deck outside the room under an awning and pooped all over the corner of the deck. Disgusting, there are bird prevention wires but the birds are to smart. No body checking the deck? The room closet had two hangers I had to call room service to bring up more hangers, Shouldn't have to call. There were two little drawers to put thing in I am used to having some sort of bureau with more drawers. The room door was heavy and it didn't fit right you had to push it open with your shoulder to open it after your card read the code. The shampoo and conditioner were tiny little bottles that hardly had anything in them. I am 71 and have been around the world this is not one of them people that are just complainers. These are all legitimate complaints. O , back to the security The entrance from the beach and the pool has a card reader on the gates however you can reach over the gates and just push them open without the card. I seen many people do that. Looked like beach people with no rooms were using the pool can't verify that. For a beach side new hotel I think it needed more inspection and thought as to the basic operation. For the money a beachfront view room should have been more enjoyable. 4th floor room 438.
