Sprout Café

Very disappointed with the Café at the Arboretum in Canberra. I asked if they could warm up my 11-month-old baby’s meal, as he has severe allergies to milk and soy, and the staff refused without offering any solution. I ended up having to order fries and chicken for him — far from suitable for a baby — even though I was already a paying customer, along with four other people. I understand hygiene rules, but a bit of empathy and common sense would have gone a long way.

Great views. Tasty coffee and bacon and egg roll but the roll should've been hotter given how long it took to make and be ready for me to collect.

The food menu here are extensive for a café and features some of the most delicious food served at any café. Add that to a good location and view and it makes a great place to come and eat. Definitely worth trying. Regards @fooderarri

Beautiful place, very nice views. We only had coffee and it was ok, service was fast.

Sadly 1 star 😟😤 Not quite sure what is going on there. Many staff at coffee station however all orders were coming out late and incorrect... it took SO LONG for my tea and latte. 20 mins wait and it was a takeaway. Staff don't seem to be to bothered either. Very over priced for such poor quality food and service. Sad as it is one of the best venues in Canberra but don't waste your time or money here

Lovely view and building. Very busy when we arrived but a 30 minute wait for nachos and fries? A number of people who ordered after us were served before us. Staff were polite but very disappointed at such a long wait. Food was ok. Can see why it rates so poorly.

Wish I read the reviews before heading to the cafe. Had a bacon and eggs roll. Bacon seemed pre cooked and sitting there for couple of hours before serving, it was burnt(black) and very dry. Sausage roll was also burnt and dry, couldn't eat it. The food was bad and overpriced. Will visit for the view but not for food.

Not going back as I ordered a gluten free pie only to b given the other pie full of gluten. I asked a second time n the manageress come out n said yes its gluten free only to bit into it n discover it was a gluten pie. Not happy as I suffered 2 days of pain n problems because of their lack of knowledge of the food they put out. People have allergies n they need to realise it's just not in our head. One day they mite have a food allergy n realise the pain they have put onto others through their incompetency

Pretty good food, but the winner is the value. A long way from anywhere, so they could gouge their customers if they wanted to. But they don't, and they should be commended for that. Worth a visit to the arboretum as well.
