Such a lovely place!!! I previously visited the Livingston Manor store and was blown away by how beautifully decorated the space was so I didn't expect any different from the Callicoon location. The big difference between the two are the historical aspect of the Callicoon location. I can't imagine the obstacles they had to overcome to make this functional and sophisticated but they certainly accomplished it. The fairy lights give the space a beautiful ambiance and the walls give it a level of character you just can't help but admire. This whole space is just beautifully designed. I truly enjoyed our visit.

Small shop located in an alley off the Main Street with great products. The British products caught our attention including all the baked goods the owner made herself. I picked up a roll with prosciutto and cheese and it was a wonderful afternoon pick-me-up. I also bought their ramp pesto and holy cow is it to die for. Don’t sleep on the ramp pesto!!! If she has it in the case make sure to get it! Lovely store with a lovely owner, don’t skip this shop.

My favorite shop with the best cheese selection in the county, some homemade delicacies and the best and friendliest owner you’ll ever meet. David will miss you this summer. Hope to see you soon. Stop, grab a coffee and say hi to my friend David.

I'm disappointed to leave this review, especially after being a loyal customer for 7 years, since 2018 when the store opened. Our family has always enjoyed shopping at this store during our summer visits to Catskill, NY. However, our most recent experience was a letdown. When my 5-year-old grandson picked up a stuffed animal, excited about a promise we'd made to him, the owner walked from behind the counter and abruptly took it from his hands without acknowledging us adults. The manner was stern and unwelcoming. My daughters, husbands and I felt disrespected, and we decided to leave without making a purchase. As we were leaving, the owner followed us to the door, and a brief exchange made it clear that our long-standing customer relationship didn't matter in that moment. It's unfortunate that a business we've supported for so long could handle a situation with a child so poorly. The encounter left a bad taste, and it's clear we'll not return.

Stopped in to get some local bread and my boyfriend was walking the dog outside and the owner saw him outside and told him to come in because “he didn’t like to break up families.” Gave us some great recommendations for some places in town for our visit and their last loaf of bread. Best bread and butter we’ve ever had. Wanted to go again, and were sad to see it was closed for the rest of our visit. Definitely a must visit.

A must stop! Dave is awesome — I walked in and he offered me a delicious piece of cheddar cheese to try. My partner was thrilled that they carried had Iron Bru. Beautifully selected home goods, a delight selection of meat and cheese, wonderful pastry, coffee and bread selection on the weekend. Trust Dave’s recommendations, he knows his stuff!

We love visiting Spruce Home Goods when we're visiting a friend's lake house hearby. They have a fun selection of pastries and treats - the apple cider donuts are a must! I wish I could fill my apartment with their home goods. We love the Lovett Sundries hand and body cream - we've purchased it for ourselves and as gifts for others. I am also eyeing their birch tree vases. The husband-wife duo that owns the shop are also a delight; be sure to say "hi" when you pop in.

We periodically drop in to see what is new and are always pleasantly surprised. A warm inviting little hideaway. And to our delight they have added an espresso machine. Dave offers browsing customers a small taste of some delightful espresso or cappuccino. Well done. We like to stop in to browse, enjoying the seasonal change, always finding some small (or not so small) this/that which is a must have for the season. Great quality and while not inexpensive, we did find everything reasonably priced. thanks

What a find? David has curated a lovely & diverse selection of cheeses, spices, coffee beans, and other food items ... Plus, housewares that are timeless & attractive. While not inexpensive, the quality is top-notch & supporting a local business is a worthwhile endeavor.

I love this magical little hideaway cozy store in Callicoon. It makes us so happy popping in, just being in that beautiful space. We are always met with a smile and a warm welcome by the lovely owners. Amazing olives and cheeses, beautiful homeware, lovely gift ideas...so nice!
