Great low effort trail to the views from the tallest point in WV. If you go in the summer the views from the observation tower aren’t great. The views from spots along the surrounding trial are much better.

Being here is one of the most beautiful places in West Virginia to experience...The only exception is New River gorge bridge in Fayetteville... The scenery here is next to glorious I can see why they call it almost heaven West Virginia... This was my first time visiting Spruce Knob as a West Virginia native... And I am so thankful to see this place... You truly feel almost on top of the world here... Lots of beautiful scenery and lots of peace and tranquility if you are a visitor to West Virginia then Spruce Knob is a must.

Views are amazing! Can't see much of anything from the tower. Walk the trail just past tower for much better view.

This is the highest peak in West Virginia and has a nice trail and spectacular views. The forest road up to top is narrow and nerve wracking to drive. It is worth it though but I don't think I would drive it in ice or snow.

Breathtaking views, amazing red spruces and a short fun walk/hike at the top (whispering pine trail) that goes to a lookout platform. Highest point in WV. There are several pull offs for you to take in the sights and also take photos. Would not recommend driving at night or with bad weather. This was a really fun and unplanned drive we took-- it was totally worth it.

Even though the elevation is not that high, this place is very amazing has all kinds of attractions a Tower that is the highest point in all of West Virginia. Tons of amenities maintained year-round worth a drive Gravel Road is kind of bumpy avoid potholes but make sure you bring food and have a picnic in this amazing secluded dark place at night where you can even see satellites and the Milky Way. I haven't found a place as great as this since North Carolina. Everyone should go down the trail and see Seneca Creek it's worth every single second.

Very beautiful and busy, lots of traffic. A few boondock camping spots with fire pits. Not well suited for medium size or large size RVs. Several hiking trails.
