Spruce Nail Shop at Walnut Hills

This was my second time at spruce at their walnut hills location and I will definitely be coming back! I scheduled a tier two with Danielle and showed her an inspo pic with French tip and florals. I am in love with it, she did an amazing job! They are very considerate of you and always ask if you like how it’s looking and if you want to change or add anything. There are a lot of gel and polish colors to chose from and are versatile with designs and letting you chose the nail shape. I would definitely recommend this salon to friends!

I got a repair manicure and my eyebrows waxed and tinted on Tuesday as I had gift cards to here. Everyone was super friendly but I just had a couple of issues. I had scheduled a ‘repair manicure’ which looking back I’m not sure what was $20 more about it than a regular manicure. I got a tiny sugar scrub but no hand or cuticle message and I think I was expecting some tips or something about my weak nails for a $70 price point. It just felt like a regular manicure which is fine but not for $70. And then come to today, Friday my nails are already chipping. I paid an extra $20 for nail art and I can’t help but feel if this were my money and not a gift card I would be really disappointed spending $90 for what I got. Again everyone was really nice and i enjoyed my time I just felt a little jipped at the end. Especially going back and looking at the description of a ‘repair manicure’ on the website.

It was the best manicure I've ever had! So happy with my nail art as well. I did tier 1 and got stickers and small painted designs.

I booked a Gel-X set with Lexi and couldn't be happier! I always have trouble find nail artists I click with and give me something close enough to what I want— Lexi gave me EXACTLY what I wanted! Will 100% be returning EDIT: I did take away a star due to some unclear policies that have really irritated me. I work with kids, and one of my nails was accidentally kicked off. It was within the 7-days for the nail fix policy I was told. When I called and explained what happened, I was told the nail could be fixed for a charge. Apparently, because it was kicked off and did not naturally fall off or lift or something, it does not qualify for a free nail fix. After the phone call, I looked at their policy online (as I was told in person if anything happens, it can be fixed) and while the online version does specifically include things like lifting, the way it is written still implies that its just based on the time period, not whatever caused the need for the nails to be fixed. Although I know and understand I'm not entitled to any sort of exception or exemption, I feel like this policy was enforced without empathy or compassion. While I will be returning because I thoroughly enjoyed the work that Lexi did, I do have some resentment following this interaction.

I was really disappointed with my first visit to Spruce. I got a the tier 1 gel manicure and it started peeling off as soon as I left. I went in the next day to get it repaired, which was complimentary. The nail tech was really aggressive with cutting my cuticles. My cuticles were in great shape when I went in. Now they are swollen and covered in little scabs where she cut into my skin.

There are so many reasons that Spruce is hands down the best nail salon in Cincy! It's such a unique, high quality experience and I get so many compliments on my gels and the nail art. Each staff member has been warm, professional and attentive to detail. The cleanliness is clear and consistent. I love supporting this gorgeous & fun local woman-owned business!

Spruce has always been a happy place for me. Everyone works so hard to create a relaxing environment. The techs and estheticians are some of the best in Cincinnati. I’m ecstatic they opened a new location!

This was my first time at their new location and it was a great experience. Sonne did an amazing job with the design I requested. They took their time and it turned out amazing! Awesome nail salon if you care about the health of your nails!
