Spruce Ridge Reindeer Farm

It was absolutely frigid when we went so it was a really nice touch that they offered hot cocoa to all. The talk about the reindeer was fascinating and the reindeer were so cool! Seems like a very well run farm, and it was the highlight of our Poconos trip. If I had any suggestion, it would be to find a way to have an indoor or protected space to give the lecture so people wouldn't have to sit in the cold so long before seeing the animals.

Super fun way to spend an afternoon!! Tour was very educational and cocoa was a nice touch!! Reindeer were well cared for and you can tell the passion the owners have to preserve and protect these special animals!! Highly recommend!!

This was a really nice event. We enjoyed listening about the reindeer. The staff were very nice and let us take many pictures and they took family pictures for us as well. They had complimentary hot chocolate and hot apple cinder. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was there was a fire pit but no fire going and it was so cold, like 31 degrees. The educational talk needed to be surrounded by bonfire or instead because it was just way too cold. We were supposed to have an hour but we stayed 40 minutes because we were freezing. It took us an hour and a half to get there so probably a one and done. But we did enjoy it.

Cassandra was great! The reindeers are taken care of here! I loved their dogs as well! Beautiful creatures. Would recommend to anyone!

I HAD THE BEST TIME EVER!! Every time I watch the videos or look at the pictures, the inner kid in me comes out! 😁😁😁 If you live in the area, you must add Spruce Ridge Reindeer farm to your "Things to do" list. You won't be disappointed. The first part of the tour is educational then you get to meet the local residents 😍😍😍. It's an amazing experience to be up close and personal with these majestic creatures.🦌🦌🦌

Such a cool experience! We learned so many interesting things about the reindeer and got to pet them up close. This is a great activity, even outside of the holiday season! Cassandra is so knowledgable about the reindeer and it is evident that she takes great care of them.

Truly a magical experience! The owner gave a wonderful presentation of reindeer. passing around antlers and velvet for the audience to feel. Then, we went into the pen, where they facilitated photos (and took many in case you blinked!). The owner and her assistant knew their reindeer so well, measuring their personalities so that you had the best experience. We even go to pet the Great Pyrenees pups who are so friendly and adorable. Free cocoa and apple cider, snow, and an icy cold day made me feel like I was at the North Pole!

My family and I went the day after Christmas and it was so great! We were in the 10 am group. It was especially magical with the snow. I loved the facts we learned about reindeer and I really appreciate how dedicated the owners are to keep the reindeer’s environment as natural as possible and mimic their native diet/surroundings. Seeing the antlers that were shed was so cool, some are huge! It was so amazing to stand next to the reindeer and feel how soft and thick their fur is and I was pleasantly shocked that we were allowed to mingle with all of them. I believe there were 7 of them! I thought the whole experience was very special, unique, and worth it (:
