Google
If you’re looking for the ultimate tropical escape, this tiki bar is a total knockout. From the moment you pull up, you realize they’ve mastered the one thing most waterfront spots fail at: parking. It’s incredibly easy and stress-free, which sets the perfect tone for the rest of the evening. The atmosphere here is electric yet laid back. They’ve managed to capture that authentic "island time" feel with thatched roofs, bamboo accents, and just the right level of ambient music. It’s the kind of place where you can feel the breeze off the water and instantly forget about your work week. The real showstopper, however, is the location. Situated right on the riverfront, the bar offers an unobstructed, beautiful view of the water. But the "chef’s kiss" detail is the lighthouse standing tall in the distance. Watching the light sweep across the ripples of the river as the sun goes down is a world-class experience. The lighthouse backdrop makes for incredible photos, especially during the "golden hour." Stress-Free Arrival: No circling the block for 20 minutes; the easy parking is a huge plus. Prime Waterfront Seating: Almost every seat in the house feels like a front-row ticket to the river. Pro Tip: Try to arrive about 30 minutes before sunset. Watching the sky change colors behind the lighthouse with a cold drink in your hand is pure magic.

Having heard a lot about the Square Grouper, while out touring around I thought that we would stop by and check the place out. Right on the water at Jupiter inlet, they have live music, good bar style food, great atmosphere, and a great view with a full service bar. It would be a really great place to hang out with friends, so if you are in the area I would highly recommend that you stop by.

Google
We are visiting from Atlanta and wanted a restaurant with a view. And we got a beautiful one. The wait staff were awesome and the food was delicious. We are coming back in a year and for sure will eat there again.

Google
Didn't eat just had drinks. It had a great water outside view. Prices are ok parking is slim.

Google
I love this place. It just has a great vibe, with live music, a nice selection of inside as well as outdoor seating on the intercoastal, with views of the lighthouse and the boats. Great date night spot or daytime fun. Walk out onto the docks and talk to the fishermen and see them feed the pelicans their scraps as they clean their daily catch. The pelicans are amazing, and there are so many other wonderful birds and fish swimming where you can see them from the docks.

Google
Was not expecting a full on dance party at 9:30 on a Saturday but was very pleasantly surprised to learn that it was Ladies” Night! Free drinks and $5 cover for the ladies. Guys pay $10 cover and regular drink prices. Awesome DJ mixing fun new music with old school hits, rap, house, reggae, club music vibes! Beautiful view of the lighthouse! Also heard they have the best mahi mahi sandwich around!

Google
I didn't want to leave. This is the chill, beachy, sand and outdoor experience you are looking for. So absolutely chill and pretty that I didn't want to leave. Bartenders were fantastic, friendly, and fun, and the atmosphere was perfect. Great views, great food, great prices and so much more. We cannot wait to go back!

Google
It’s really an amazing place with such a great atmosphere but unfortunately when I visited this weekend with some girl friends, we had nachos and the fish dip, and I got food poisoning. I haven’t had food poisoning since I was a child and I NEVER get stomach sick. I will spare you the painful details but I did throw up. Great for drinks but I would avoid the food at all costs. Could’ve happened for many reasons but getting food poisoning is never a good sign!

Yelp
A friend recommended so we decided to visit. Located on the water near the inlet. The atmosphere was amazing. All the tables, bar and high tops are located outside. The weather was warm but it had a nice ocean breeze. No table service. You go up to the bar and order food and drinks. They give you a pager. When food is ready they notify you and you go pick it up. It's definitely a laid back atmosphere. They did have a pretty good live band playing as well. We ordered drinks, as well as coconut shrimp which were cooked to perfection, chili nachos tasty and very cheesy and a Cuban sandwich which was also delicious. What a great day. Looking forward to going back and trying more items on the menu.

Yelp
We came to watch the Eagles beat the Chiefs. Brianna took excellent care of us at the smaller bar area. It is a great location to hang out for drinks and bar food. There's a parking lot. It's mostly outside. When we arrived there was live music. Once they finished, there was great yacht rock and classic rock music. I love it here.

Yelp
My friends and I came out for a fun night at the Square Grouper Tiki bar. The entrance is fun and inviting. I love the way it's lit up. It would not have hurt my feelings to have been carded. . The boys at the front would have scored brownie points for that! We were able to walk over by the water and take some beautiful pictures of the lighthouse. The favorite drink of our group was the Inlet Breeze. Scott was a great bartender! We came to see my friend's band, Miss Dympsey's Class, perform. We found a table close to the stage and had room to dance as well. They played mostly rock, including Lynyrd Skynyrd. The great seemed to be having a blast as well. The weather was great and the breeze felt nice. We will definitely go back again.

Yelp
This chicken sandwich was FIREEE. Best thing I ate during the whole trip. It was really to die for I will tell ya! The chicken was so juicy and the Brie was soooo good with the sauce. The staff were super friendly and nice. Very quick too. The place is very chill and casual. They have live music sometimes too which is fun.

Yelp
Stopped in for a drink and to see the views. Drinks score a 3 with a $14 plastic cup not properly made mojito and an over priced $8 beer at 1 in the afternoon. Need to scan the menu to see what they have. Is a cool place with multiple bar set ups and seating is abundant along the jupiter inlet. Great views and relaxing.
google avatar

Yelp
This place Has grown from the old bait and tackle shop you used to be able to buy a red solo cup for five bucks and pour yourself one from the keg. It is now an iconic destination and has put the infamous Love Street on the map. Spectacular view of the Jupiter lighthouse spectacular view of the Jupiter Inlet, watching the boat traffic, communing with locals, listening to great music and taking it all in this is a true Tiki Bar.

Yelp
Had a great experience at Square Grouper in Jupiter. Received a warm greeting from Kim tho it was already getting busy. After taking our order Rebecca came by to check on us and promptly got our team on the TV for Sunday football. Then Ashley came by to give us extra napkins and some ice water to go with my salad. By the way the lime vinaigrette they have is excellent. I first had it at Square Grouper in Ft Pierce recommended by Douglas there and it's one of the reasons I went to Jupiter as well as to visit that location. Now I have 3 great reasons to visit in Kim, Rebecca and Ashley who worked hard to serve the bar, walkups and diners despite the dance floor rocking and the games all starting at the same time. Check out their menu and Thanks for a great visit and special shout out to Rebecca who took care of our go box accident lol. Well played!!

Yelp
I love going to Square Grouper. It is where all the young people are at night. I haven't tried their food because I usually get dinner elsewhere and go there for drinks. Great live music and vibes by the water and a good hangout spot!

Mc D.

Yelp
Casual local waterfront bar (21 age requirement) with beautiful view of the Jupiter Inlet and the Jupiter Lighthouse. Cold beer, limited menu. The Mahi tacos and fries were delicious. Live music on the weekend! Limited dock parking if you plan to visit by boat.
google avatar

Mary D.

Yelp
Chill tiki bar with a live band, 21+ crowd only which ranged heavily from age groups (I saw early 20s to even senior citizens here!) It's on the pier with views of the docks, lighthouse, and small islands. You can walk on the dock with your drinks, too, though you may be at risk of falling into the water. There are no fences whatsoever. The food was casual bar foods, the slushie drinks were the best (I didn't enjoy the lighthouse drink that much), lots of fried finger food options we tried the conch but wasn't a fan of the texture. The coconut shrimp was a double order! Majority positive vibes
google avatar

Ivy R.

Yelp
I went here last night I got a Pina colada and some wings, the inside had a really good vibe and was gorgeous, the servers were very nice as well The wings were pretty good! They fell right off of the bone and were moist, a little fatty though and the drinks were good as well! The buffalo chicken wing dip would've been better if there was more buffalo in it and the chips weren't stale Overall I would go back hopefully trying better food options in the future
google avatar

Yelp
What a place! I started off with a John Daly as any like mind would, and it was a good balance of Daly and Palmer. Decided to order some fish and chips made with local caught grouper, what a dish! Fish was perfectly crispy and flavorful, and the portion was more than enough! Had a few more drinks inspired by the bartenders who were wonderful. Great conversations and a good atmosphere to relax! Beautiful views all over and good music to enjoy it to. Would recommend this 100 times over, go here, NOW!
google avatar

Garrett M.

Yelp
Used to love this place. Rented a section out for my 30th birthday. But the prices seem to have gone insane. 6 coconut shrimp for $18? I don't know if I'll be going back any time soon. The view is great but I can get more food for the same price next door. Bartenders are always great though.
google avatar

Tammy M.

Yelp
Great place to eat but fell a lil short on the food but truly overall it was good an our first time. Will be back for sure and update has appropriate. Service was decent. Nothing over and beyond. Ambience is the reason people go. Worth all that for the view. Plus you can pull the boat right up and eat. It's nice to take a break from the water too. I guess my biggest thing would be is increase amount to appetizers. $17 for 5 pieces of tuna is a lil over priced but then the chicken Caesar was a good portion. Ok. See u again soon.

Yelp
This is one of the best things in LG, nothing like cruising around LG on a floating tiki bar! always a great time, the crews are great and friendly the lake is spectacular in late summer, they play your favorite music and it's BYOB, but the have plenty of ice and coolers for your libations.
google avatar

Deborah E.

Yelp
Impersonal place and the 2 "bouncers " at the entrance weren't friendly and didn't offer menus, we had to ask them but the place was dead. The food is pretty basic. We did love the smoked fish dip. My fish and chips were pretty much what I'd expect at a Dennys. Nothing special, mostly dry breading and a little bit of fish. My husband wasn't impressed with his mahi-mahi sandwich nor my FIL with his bbq sandwich. My drink was great. I think our impression is this is a bar that serves food but not a place you'd go to enjoy food.
google avatar

Cat C.

Yelp
We love taking guests in town to Square Grouper. Such a fantastic place to enjoy good weather. It's standard bar fare, but it's done right. I usually get the mahi sandwich, that's my favorite. Last night I tried their wings for the first time, they were really good. I appreciate that they consistently have live music.
google avatar

Jonathan C.

Yelp
Great spot for an evening hang out! It's tucked away, right by the water, with views of the light house. Mostly outdoor, with plenty of patio seating and multiple bars for drinks and food. Live music playing at the stage. ID's checked, 21+.
google avatar

Emma B.

Yelp
21+ !!!! Such a fun little spot tucked away in Jupiter on the water. Stopped in here for lunch after a day at the beach. You have to be 21 to get in here, you will get ID'd at the front by bouncers (if you look young). You go up to the bar and order food from there and get a buzzer that will tell you when it's ready to be picked up. Lots of nice seating with shade from palm trees. Monday - $4 beers and $6 onion rings We ordered the hangover burger, onion rings, fries, and conch fritters. Everything was great, good bar food.

Dave W.

Yelp
The Grouper is what is but it ain't what it used to be. The day of the real tiki bar has ended.
google avatar

Julia F.

Yelp
Loved this tiki bar! It's more than a bar -- it's an entire experience! When you arrive, you go through tiki torches to an outdoor venue along the water, with live music and several bars with thatched roofs. I got a strawberry daiquiri, which tasted like a strawberry purée smoothie!! You can take your drinks on the little boardwalk past fishing boats and can hangout on the water. The live music was great! Made for a fun, laid-back summer night

Jan L.

Yelp
Best setting for an outdoor restaurant. Food is good and prices are reasonable. Bar staff is friendly and accommodating. My "happy place".
google avatar

Geoff H.

Yelp
First, it's a bar first, food second. You sit outside in the sand. No kids, no pets. Apparently an issue with service dogs in the past. The bartenders are friendly. You order at the bar and then pick up your food once it's ready. You return your basket to the bar. They do not seat you, first come first serve. The grilled chicken was good. The hot dog was all beef. The fish and chips was all breading (that's what lost a star).
google avatar

Stephen L.

Yelp
Great place to grab a bite/drink. Service is nice, since you place an order and pick up the order at the counter (when your buzzer goes off); very quick. Ambiance was real nice; right on the water with views of the lighthouse and all the boats going by.
google avatar

Jean M.

Yelp
Always looks fun. The bands they have are a highlight. Never too loud so you can have comfortable conversations. Wonderful views of the water. Seating looks sufficient. Doesn't seem like a place people go to eat. All orders are done directly at the bar. Unfortunately the bartenders can be very terse & unfriendly. However they're honest in telling you their drinks are very expensive.

Yelp
We took a lovely ride today and stopped for lunch in Jupiter. There are many restaurants to choose from on the water but I've heard about The Square Grouper for many years further south in the Keys but never went so this was a chance to try another location. We loved the casual seat-yourself, serve-yourself atmosphere and the million dollar water view across from the Jupiter Lighthouse was worth the trip. We found a great table and walked up to the bar to order drinks and get a menu. There was only one person serving drinks and taking orders so she was friendly but quite busy. The menu was not that exciting, mostly bar food..but i knew i had to try the only grouper dish listed..Fish & Chips (fried grouper ). We were hungry so we started with nachos..a favorite with my guy. They gave us a buzzer and we sat watching the boats and beautiful view. When we buzzed, we carried back a huge fully loaded basket of nachos and dug in with no time to waste. We should have ordered only one grouper dinner because we filled up on the nachos.. The grouper turned out to be small pieces of fish lightly battered and fried! I loved it. We opted for coleslaw and salad vs fries. All was fresh and tasty. There was easy parking in the lot mid week for lunch although the location was not easy to find. We had to ask people several times as the GPS went off the mark. There are quite a few other restaurants to try in this area that have a beautiful view as well so I'm not sure we would return to this spot but I'm glad we came and i got to see what it was all about.

Yelp
I love this place, the mahi mahi sandwich is my fav. The drinks are good, I love the live music too.
google avatar

Melissa G.

Yelp
What a great experience! The bar tenders were so nice! And while you're sitting there and look around, every single person is smiling and having a nice time! Highly recommend!
google avatar

Nicky G.

Yelp
It is a fun place for drinks and music for all ages. Young and older. Food is mediocre bar food of course.
google avatar

Tracy C.

Yelp
This place is great...mostly! They have a permanent stage for live music. It's outside and has two tiki bars with lots of seating. This is bad if it rains, but it's gorgeous on a nice day. Across the intercoastal, you get a great view of the Jupiter lighthouse. The floor is just sand. There are two sets of bathrooms on either side of the establishment. Neither are very good. The two stalls behind the one bar are continually dirty and somehow always wet. On the other side, it's like saloon doors for the bathrooms so you can pretty much see people on the toilet up to their knees and see their heads when they stand up. It's weird. BUT They have the most amazing creamsicle alcoholic beverage, which I posted a picture of. It is just delicious, made with Tang. They also have some bar food staples that are pretty tasty.

Tom T.

Yelp
One of a kind-young or old, local or visitor you'll enjoy the relaxed friendly atmosphere. Must go!

Natalia A.

Yelp
I've always loved this place ! Had some friends come in from Texas and wanted to show them around unfortunately they turned them down for having Texas IDS both from the same part and all of us around the same age their scanner must not be working bc both ids ARE REAL and got scanned at other bars and WORKED ... we let the manager know and he basically didn't care we just said you might wanna get that fixed bc the ids are REAL! AS A SEVER / BARTENDER my self it's clear they are real ids.. if you have family or friends coming in from out of state I'd beware of this issue
google avatar

Keith H.

Yelp
Great atmosphere. Mixture of well oiled location slightly done up to 2023+. Three bars and stage. Lots of old chairs and a place to bring your boat. It feels like a Tiki bar holiday type of place. Reasonable prices and growing menu but not really a place for great food. But great times location and people.
google avatar

Yelp
4-7-23 11AM This restaurant has been bookmarked by me forever. So I planned a day trip as I was off from work and headed to Jupiter. I didn't want to miss anything so planned to get here when they opened. Once I parked out front and walked through the doors I felt I flew down to the islands. What a great atmosphere to be transported to another place that way. Note everything is open and outside so lucky for us it was a beautiful day. You go to the bar and order and they give you a pager to pick up your food when ready. Being it is a holiday I started with a cocktail lol and it ain't even noon! Inlet Breeze Tito's vodka, cranberry and grapefruit juice very refreshing and guess what they really put alcohol in their drinks so for me one and done. I also had the Fish and Chips. My friend ordered the Hot Dog which came with sauerkraut. Nicely grilled and split down the middle. My fish was fresh and delicious and the fries perfectly seasoned and skin on. Unfortunately way too many fries so I did feed some birds. We had a beautiful view of the water and boats. Watched a group of kayakers as well as some kids fishing. We came at a perfect time as note to crowded which allowed us to stay awhile and take in the magnificent views. Definitely will be back again.

Jose C.

Yelp
Just ok. I'll leave it at that...had mahi, didn't taste fresh, and why in the world would a mahi sandwich have cheese on it? Totally ruined it, especially when I asked for no butter due to an allergy reasons, but I accept total responsibility for forgetting to say no cheese too after I stated no butter on the grill either... again, who puts cheese on a mahi sandwich????!

Bomooney B.

Yelp
None apparent you go up to the bar you have to scan the menu. You have to get your own drinks. They don't even clean the tables so we go there. We didn't know any of this and the waitress like treated us like CRIMINALS so after we clean the table we left. Good luck will never come back
google avatar

Franco C.

Yelp
Tiki bar The Square Grouper is a great people watching spot while kicking back with your friends over some cocktails. Great views of the Jupiter Inlet and lighthouse and there is almost always live music going on over the weekend. Bars are large and bartenders are quick and make a decent drink. There is food available and it is pretty meh overall to be honest. This is not going to be a gourmet dinner experience by any stretch of the imagination. At best it is nothing more than bar food. There is no table service - you order at the bar and then you go pick it up when it is ready - no biggie but just be aware. Bathrooms are large and generally clean Parking just sucks- they have a small lot and it gets filled up quickly. There are larger lots available up the street but even those can get overloaded during the season when everyone is out and about. Go for the music and drinks and people watching and eat elsewhere.
google avatar

PJ C.

Yelp
Our local friends had not been here in years but suggested it as a fun place for food and drink. We stopped in on a late Sunday afternoon and grabbed a table as far away from the band as possible so we could carry on a conversation. I really liked the open beach bar/ Key West vibe. The bartender was very friendly. The Pirate's punch drink was very Tiki - I liked it a lot. We ordered food (no wait staff here - you order at the bar and they buzz you when it is ready for you to pick up). The fish tacos were a bit hit and my pulled pork sandwich with cheese, bacon and onions was surprisingly very good. Nice flavors. The fries were decent. Prices were OK. A big bonus is watching the sunset on the lighthouse across the inlet.

Rob B.

Yelp
Great food and atmosphere. Servers were also on point. Loved sitting outside and watching the boaters
google avatar

Jim R.

Yelp
So it's all outdoor next to the water... that's about where the good part ends. No wait staff, smokers in proximity, and the food pretty much sucked. Nachos are so doused with cheese and sauce that they are floppy wet when you get them.

Faith F.

Yelp
service was amazing, tacos were so yummy! 10/10 would recommend! the environment was chill, and had a beautiful view
google avatar

Monique M.

Yelp
Fantastic!! Sunday afternoon evn in the rain still crowded. The creamsicle drink and magi mahi tacos are unbelievable
google avatar

Dennis I.

Yelp
I only popped in for a beer as the weather was making the place a bit uncomfortable because it is outside albeit covered. But when there's high winds and rain, may be a bit cool outside you want to bring something warmer to wear. The place can be fun though and does have a decent menu.
google avatar

The Critical J.

Yelp
PROS: this place was amazing! One of the best outdoor bars. Ciara was a very nice bartender and the staff followed as well. Nice Sandy area, great bars, food and drinks were great too. Best of all nice waterfront view and prices CONS: they close early. I was there on a Sunday and it closed around 11:30. OVERALL: I will definitely come back here because it is a lit bar. Just come here a little early to hang out for a while
google avatar

Elana B.

Yelp
Wonderful place to enjoy the beautiful Florida outdoors while dining on delicious food! This restaurant/bar is fully outdoors. A great covid spot. Good food with wonderful views. The only things that didn't impress me: As a first timer visitor, I didn't understand how ordering worked and no one really tells you how the place runs upon arrival. There is absolutely no table service. You go to the bar for everything. You even pick up your food from the kitchen. I would say this location is not ideal for groups. The tables are all for about four people and if you want to move the tables together, they are VERY heavy. Looking forward to coming back in the winter season.
google avatar

Nick K.

Yelp
Great atmosphere but questionable bar charges. We met a group of co-workers here for a night of food, drinks, music and fun. My only issue all night was when I checked my bar tab. I was charged $4.50 and $2.00 for 'rocks' as in ice when I ordered a whiskey. I get the $15 and $10 pour charges but to add in the cost of ice is ridiculous. Food and music were great. But don't get any ice...
google avatar

Steve E.

Yelp
The Square Grouper Tiki Bar in Jupiter, FL sits at the Inter-coastal near a Jupiter Marina. It's a great place to sit and 'People Watch'. I met two High School 'snowbird' friends who just beat the Northeastern Blizzard driving to Florida. The restaurant is a very, very casual place to have drinks and something to eat. While the food was only good, the service was great! We had hamburgers or beef sliders. The portions were big, although the meat was too well-done for me. We decided we would definitely return to The Square Grouper Tiki Bar 'if only to relax & watch the world go by'!

Lisa C.

Yelp
We were unable to get in on a Monday night because their ID scanner said that my ID and my daughter's ID were both fake. I'm supportive of checking ID but at 50years old my ID was definitely not fake (nor was my daughters) and both of our license were the new "real ID" versions with the star & holograms. Disappointing their ID scanners are not properly functional.

Jackie D.

Yelp
Our group came here on Saturday night for happy hour. Very casual Fun outdoor bar with live music. Very busy hard to get a seat. It's grab your own table/seat. We had fun sitting outside enjoying a cocktail before going out to dinner.
