Square Townhouse

Great location, welcoming atmosphere, short stay only but we enjoyed the stay. Room was clean well equipped, coffee machine was a nice touch, We was a little hot at night even though no heating on. Bed was comfy, shower lovely. We had a few stairs to climb was a little tiring to get up there. Breakfast was delicious. I think the price reflects the location and the quality of the hotel. Worth a visit I wish we had longer. Also I could imagine parking could be tricky but we found a space, it's also pay to park.

I recently enjoyed a wonderfully restful weekend at The Square Townhouse while visiting my daughter at Brighton University, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. This boutique hotel is truly one of the most unique and memorable places I’ve stayed. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful—going out of their way to assist when I’d forgotten both my phone charger and umbrella. Their kindness set the tone for a stay that felt genuinely cared for. My room was immaculate, with a supremely comfortable bed dressed in luxurious linens that made for the best night’s sleep I’ve had in ages. Waking up to the sight of waves from my bed while sipping morning tea was pure bliss. But the real showstopper? Breakfast. It was nothing short of outstanding—especially the reinvented eggs Florentine, which were a delicious and creative twist on a classic. Worth a visit for the breakfast alone! Also within walking distance of all that Brighton has to offer! I highly recommend

Great location on the edge of Kemptown. Beautiful room with sea view. Comfy and a great shower. Really clean too. Quiet...just the sea to hear. Service was brilliant and the breakfasts were amazing. Really good pancakes. Great atmosphere. Lots of mirrors...

Really lovely small hotel very close to the sea front. Quirky details. Spotlessly clean. Beautiful bathroom and big fluffy white towels. We were made to feel really welcome. And breakfast was delicious.

What a fabulous boutique hotel. Beautiful rooms with the most comfy beds. Staff were so lovely and couldn’t do enough for you. A breakfast is a must as it’s absolutely delicious. Can’t wait to stay again.

Went for one night to celebrate my birthday, booked the Hensley Suite which is a large suite in the lower ground floor.|Comfortable and stylish monochrome and mirrors is the theme. Service was friendly, breakfast was excellent with an impressive variety.|Only slight negative was WiFi was patchy probably as the suite was below ground level. |Overall a lovely hotel in a great location and recommended.

We had the most wonderful stay at The Square Townhouse in Brighton. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, personal, and thoughtful. The team went above and beyond to make my husband’s birthday extra special — they surprised us with balloons and a “Happy Birthday” sign in our room, which was such a lovely gesture and really made the stay memorable.||The hotel itself is beautiful, spotless, and full of charm. Our room was stylish and comfortable, and the atmosphere throughout the hotel was relaxed and welcoming.||Thank you to everyone at The Square Townhouse for such a lovely stay.

Lovely rooms that feel a bit different, the staff were utterly amazing. Breakfast felt like good value for money. Slightly let down by being a bit noisy at night.
