**Restaurant Review: Squella – A Seafood Lover’s Paradise in Santiago**
If you’re a seafood enthusiast in Santiago, stop whatever you’re doing and make your way to **Squella Restaurant**. This rooftop gem is a culinary haven that will transport your taste buds straight to the coast, even if you’re in the heart of the city.
**Location & Ambiance**
Perched on a rooftop, Squella offers a breezy, laid-back vibe that perfectly complements its coastal-inspired menu. The cool Chilean breeze and casual atmosphere make it an ideal spot for a relaxed yet memorable dining experience. Whether you’re there for a romantic dinner or a fun gathering with friends, the setting is just as delightful as the food.
**The Food: A Seafood Feast**
We went all out with their **sample tray**, and let me tell you, it was a seafood extravaganza that left us speechless. Here’s the breakdown:
- **Ostras (Oysters)**: These were so fresh, it felt like the ocean had personally delivered them to our table. Briny, crisp, and utterly divine.
- **Vieiras (Scallops)**: Freshly cracked open and topped with a zesty onion and pepper salsa, these were a perfect balance of sweet and tangy.
- **Pulpo (Octopus)**: Tender, perfectly seasoned, and grilled to perfection. Each bite was a testament to the chef’s skill.
- **Machas (Razor Clams) & Locos (Chilean Abalone)**: These were the stars of the show. So flavorful and fresh that they made us question why we ever bother with land-based food.
**Pro Tip**: Don’t forget to squeeze that lemon generously over everything. The combination of zesty citrus and briny seafood is pure magic.
**Service & Overall Experience**
The service at Squella is top-notch—friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. The casual yet refined atmosphere makes it easy to unwind and enjoy the experience without any pretension.
**Final Verdict**
Squella is a must-visit for anyone who loves seafood. From the fresh, expertly prepared dishes to the stunning rooftop setting, it’s a dining experience that will leave you craving more. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you.

The food was really good. Had the clams with green sauce, pulpo with potatoes (recommend it very much!) and the suspiro limeno (a typical peruvian dessert) which is kinda sweet but was delicious. Had 2 beers with it. The service was excellent and the price was absolutely reasonable for what you get.
Perfect ending of my time in Santiago.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at resto and it was an absolute delight! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The service was impeccable, with our waiter being attentive and knowledgeable about the menu.
We enjoyed a fantastic selection of seafood, including sea urchins, oysters, a delicious seafood soup, and perfectly seared scallops. Every dish was beautifully prepared and bursting with flavor. The seafood was incredibly fresh, and the flavors were perfectly balanced.
I was particularly impressed with the value for money. For the quality of the food and the overall dining experience, the price was incredibly reasonable. We even managed to enjoy a bottle of wine and still came in under $100.
I highly recommend this resto to anyone looking for a memorable seafood dining experience. You won’t be disappointed!

Had abalone and grilled octopus. Excellent service, and dining on the 4th floor outdoor terrace was nice, but a bi chilly. And you have to climb four flghts of stairs, so that might be an issue for some.

This restaurant was absolutely fantastic. Rustic and nestled in quite an inconspicuous location ( very unexpected). We were early so it was mostly empty but it felt very warm and inviting. The servers were absolutely top notch! The shellfish appetizer platter was very well presented and tasted very fresh. The Reinata and the Langoustine were both amazing and I'd give this place a 5+ stars if I could. The shrimp risotto was one of the best I've every had including those I've hat in most places in Italy ( unfortunately only been to touristic restaurants)! Will need to return on my next trip!
